Abstract The paper presents an algorithm for the synthesis of the law of motion of the weft beat-up mechanism intended for the production of closely woven fabrics, which are currently manufactured mainly on shuttle looms. These machines have such disadvantages as significant dimensions, strong vibrations and noise during operation, as well as low performance. Shuttleless looms are devoid of such disadvantages. However, production of closely woven fabrics on such machines can face a number of problems, such as increased vibration, the machine tool turning off due to an increased beating-up strip and accelerated wear of mechanisms which, in turn, leads to a lower productivity and product quality. The conducted research allowed developing an algorithm for the synthesis of complex-profile cams of the slay mechanism drive. The use of the developed mechanism is theoretically proved and experimentally confirmed to provide the required performance and quality as well as to significantly expand the range of fabrics produced on STB shuttleless looms.

In order to improve productivity and product quality and reduce cost, over the past many years, producers made great efforts to find the new method of chamfering. One of the methods is the chamfer milling cutter, on the milling machine tool. This method is suited for medium and small batch production. The tool life is long, the machining quality is stable. In this thesis, the principle of meshing between gear and the rake is applied. The chamfer miller design principle and calculation method is put forward.

In this work, it is presented and studied that the harmonious of product function with capability, harmonious of product with product, harmonious of product with people, with technology, with society environment, with entironment from the view of entironment, society, economy, science, politics, culture and legal point in the design process. And the quality verification and evaluation methods are studied to enhance the design quality more effectively. And that, all the studied contents is named harmonious design method. One machine tool is used as an example to explain the method with design quality evaluated by fuzzy synthesized evaluation method from function, structure capability, working capability and craftwork capability factors. The grade and disparity of design quality are obtained through the evaluation results, then design project could be modified based on it, and it is very useful to improve product quality and to enhance performance-price ratio and market competitive ability.

Tour guide has an important role toward the tourism business in Bali, they take care the guests since they arrive until they depart from Bali. Therefore a tour guide should be able to give the best quality of service and also improve it if to provide better service in the future. In order to achieve the best quality of service, the government should create a rule which regulate how a tour guide can be a profession in order to provide a better quality of service to the guests who visit Bali. Bali Regional Rule no 5 year 2008 about Tour Guides is a kind of regulation established by Bali Government as a foundation for a Tour Guide in doing their profession. However, in fact there are so many irrelevant services given by a Tour Guide and it was not based on the regulation and it caused the problems in this thesis. Are there any factors that generate a specific license for a tour guide based on Bali Regional Rule no 5 year 2008 about Tour Guides could not be released? How is the application of punishment ofthose tour guides who did not obey the regulation based on Bali Regional Rule no 5 year 2008 about Tour Guides? This research used empiric approach which means that we are doing an approach by solving the problem that we face during the research. In relation with the regulations and law and also the law theories which relevant applied in this research e.g. theory of obeying the law, theory of authority and theory of product quality. In order to show the government’s authority to apply the law and how the regulation is able to guarantee the law and also to ensure that the government regulation can guarantee the tour guide quality to provide the best quality of services.

Machine tools are recognized as key components of manufacturing systems, and product quality and cost mainly depend on performances of the machine tools. Much progress has been made in the machine tool technologies, aimed at improving the performances of the machine tools from various viewpoints, such as accuracy, reliability, productivity, and flexibility. The machining accuracy is one of the most important characteristics of the machine tools. From the viewpoints of the design and the manufacturing of the machine tools and their components, one of the important issues is to clarify the relationships between the kinematic motion deviations of the machine tools and the geometric tolerances of the components, such as the guide ways and the bearings. The objective of the present research is to establish mathematical models representing the kinematic motion deviations of the machine tools, on the basis of the geometric tolerances of the components, and to apply the models to theoretical analysis of the kinematic motion deviations of the machine tool components.

Das „Guard-Plus“-System, eine Entwicklung der August Steinmeyer GmbH und der ifm diagnostics GmbH, ermöglicht dies durch Detektion des Vorspannungsverlustes aufgrund von Verschleiß. Untersuchungen zur Systemfunktion wurden in diesem Beitrag durch das wbk Institut für Produktionstechnik durchgeführt.   The aim of machine tool maintenance is to ensure availability in order to guarantee high product quality and productivity. Knowledge of the wear condition of feed axes involved, especially the ball screw, is therefore of enormous importance. The Guard Plus system, a joint development of August Steinmeyer GmbH and ifm diagnostics GmbH, enables this by detecting the preload loss due to wear. Investigation of the system’s function are presented through wbk Institute of Production Science in the following article.

Curriculum is at the core of school quality. Curriculum changes often attempt to cater to local preferences while adhering to national standards. This tension often drives a school’s decision to invest in curriculum changes even though little is known about how such changes affect student performance. To examine these interrelated issues of product quality and performance in the education sector, the authors analyze the effect of the 2008 Louisiana Science Education Act on students’ science test performance in nationally administered tests. The law allowed the teaching of creationism as an alternative “theory” to evolution in Louisiana schools. Using detailed data on Louisiana schools, the authors employ a difference-in-differences strategy to document that science test achievement declined after the law was passed, relative to schools in neighboring Texas. The effect of the law was driven by regions with high internet penetration and low parental education levels. After the change in policy, Louisiana students were more likely to seek out information on the internet using search terms that led them to web pages that reinforced a creationist message.

Nusa Penida is very well known for its rangrang woven cloth, but until now the filing of the cloth brand to the Directorate General of Intellectual Property has not been realized as a form of legal protection. The purpose of this research is to reveal the effectiveness of law number 20 of 2016 concerning the brand on rangrang woven fabrics in the Village of Nusa Penida and the efforts to protect the law against the woven cloth rangrang in the Village of Nusa Penida. The research method used is empirical. Primary data and secondary data were obtained by conducting observations and interviews as well as literature. Based on the results of research obtained by Law Number 20 of 2016 concerning brands, it cannot be said to be effective because the community does not register the woven woven cloth at the Directorate General of Intellectual Property, this is due to the lack of citizen knowledge of the law. So that government efforts are needed to provide socialization related to the importance of registering rangrang woven fabrics. And efforts to protect rangrang woven fabrics are still in the registration process and there will be socialization and services as well as assistance from the government for the smooth registration of rangrang woven fabrics at the Directorate General of Intellectual Property.

Abstract This research aims to study woven fabric construction with natural indigo dyeing with finishing for home textile applications. The physical and mechanical properties, including color fastness tests, of these woven fabrics according to ISO standards for home textiles exported to the European Union were characterized. Tensile strength, tear strength, and pilling resistance of these woven fabrics were appropriate to design, and had enough strength for bed linens, duvet covers, and pillowcases. The color fastness to washing, water, and light of these woven fabrics passed the requirements for bed linens and pillowcases, except for color fastness to wet rubbing, due to the low performance of natural dyestuff. Thus, a finishing technique of water repellency was applied to improve these properties. This design of natural fiber fabrics dyed with natural indigo was developed for home textile products whose fabrics were produced by community enterprise. These home textile products can be used as a collection prototype for a spa room in a hotel.

This paper was written based on the testing of resistance to stretch & set and bond strength for 10 different kinds of automotive seating fabrics and their corresponding surface monolayer fabrics, according to the standard GMW3211FZT01034-2008/FZT70006-2004GMW3220. And the results indicated that, resistance to stretch & set of knitted automotive seating fabrics decreased and that of woven fabrics increased after composited; bond strength of fabric/sponge was higher than that of sponge/bottom, and bond strength of seating fabrics which had different structures were also different. Studying the performance of automotive seating fabrics had important implications on the production of seating fabrics, and the improvement of product quality and innovation in future.
