Abstract As a primary source of glucomannan, porang (Amorphophallus oncophyllus Prain) has a decisive role in the food and non-food industry development. However, the naturally high calcium oxalate content in the corm is one obstacle why it is not safe as a food material. This paper describes and discusses the optimizing process to reduce the level of calcium oxalate content and improve the quality of the flour of porang locally grown in Lombok. Porang samples were obtained from the center of growing area in North Lombok. Series of trials were carried out, including treatment using a salt solution, blanching, and fermentation technology. The parameters observed in this study were the calcium oxalate content, moisture content, and the color of porang flour. The results from these trials indicated that soaking in salt solution and blanching technology significantly reduced the calcium oxalate concentration in the flour. However, the oxalate levels in the flour were slightly higher than the quality standard requirement. In contrast, fermentation treatment was not effective in reducing the oxalate level. In general, all treatments significantly reduced the flour-moisture content. Further research is required in order to produce quality local porang flour that meets quality standards.

Numbers of Mold and Yeast on White Pepper from BangkaWhite pepper is one of Indonesia's spices that are needed for both public consumption and exports. Post-harvest processing of white pepper by farmers is often done with unclean. Each source of white pepper has different water content and will affect the quality of white pepper. In this study, seven samples (S1, S2, S3, S4, S5, S6, S7) were from Bangka. All samples tested had higher water content than SNI quality standard (13%), but still below the quality standard 2 (18%). Sample S2 has the highest water content compared to other samples. Sample S1 and S2 have high Numbers of Mold and Yeast (AKK) and do not suitable with quality standart of BPOM. Of all samples, S2  had the highest AKK (5,51 x 104 colony / g) and sample S5 had the smallest AKK (8,8 x 102 colony / g). This shows the relationship between water content in white pepper with AKK. White pepper that has a high water content has a high AKK, whereas white pepper that has low moisture content has low AKK.Keywords: white pepper, Numbers of Mold and Yeast, moisture contentABSTRAKLada putih adalah salah satu rempah Indonesia  yang  banyak dibutuhkan baik untuk konsumsi masyarakat ataupun ekspor.

In an effort to control the quality of corn, among others, it is determined based on the moisture content in the corn seeds so that the corn produced has a seed quality standard. The purpose of this thesis is to determine the water level of the seeds. Corn was tested by a tool made with standardization of the moisture content of corn seeds from the Agricultural Center using the PM-650 Grain Moisture Tester. The parameters tested were the moisture content of the corn seeds, the temperature of the storage containers, and the weight of the corn seeds. Based on the research that has been done, it can be seen that a capacitive sensor with a working principle such as a parallel plate capacitor as a tool for measuring the moisture content of corn seeds has a reading accuracy ratio with the PM-650 Grain Moisture Tester measuring instrument is 94.9%. The temperature in the storage container was around 23 <temperature <27 to maintain the quality of the corn seeds. Data from the test results are sent via the ESP8266 module and displayed on the web. Based on the results of the planning and implementation that has been done, the capacitive sensor can work well as a measuring tool for the moisture content of corn seeds. Meanwhile, the difference in results in planning and measurement is caused by the losses that exist in the components used.

The study was initiated to evaluate the physico-chemical quality of autumn harvested honey of Ethiopia particularly in Dangilla district, North West Gojjam. Twenty seven honey samples were collected from three different altitudes throughout the chain of honey handlers. The mean value of moisture content, pH, ash, titratable acidity, hydroxyl methyl furfural (HMF) and diastase activity was found to be 18.44, 4.18, 0.265, 3.88, 3.61 and 10.39 respectively. All physico-chemical quality of honey exhibit a significant (P<0.05) difference between samples collected from different altitude and across the chain. The majority of the samples were found to be in acceptable range of international honey commission standard and Ethiopian honey quality standard for all of the tested parameters. Among the tested honey samples, only 14.8% (moisture content) and 11.1% (titratable acidity) were above the standard limit. Overall, the outcome of this study shows, Dangilla district has the great potential to provide honey for local consumption as well as for exporting honey to foreign market.

Software systems are any software product or applications that support business domains such as Manufacturing,Aviation, Health care, insurance and so on.Software quality is a means of measuring how software is designed and how well the software conforms to that design. Some of the variables that we are looking for software quality are Correctness, Product quality, Scalability, Completeness and Absence of bugs, However the quality standard that was used from one organization is different from other for this reason it is better to apply the software metrics to measure the quality of software. Attributes that we gathered from source code through software metrics can be an input for software defect predictor. Software defect are an error that are introduced by software developer and stakeholders. Finally, in this study we discovered the application of machine learning on software defect that we gathered from the previous research works.

The article is about the role of the family in the education and formation of children and, especially, in the life and development of autistic children. It describes the problems their family is facing and the need for counseling to parents with autistic children. The reaction to finding the diagnosis of autism varies from one family to another and may encounter a large variety: from disbelief, anger, guilt, helplessness, devastation, surprise, or even rejection of the child, to understanding and relief when finally the parents have an explanation for their child behaviors. Early intervention is important in psychological sustaining of the parent, as parent involvement in the recovery of the child with autism has a determinant role in his development and in ensuring a high quality of life of the child and the life of the hole family. The response to a child's autism diagnosis varies from one family to another. The family goes through a variety of disbelief, anger, guilt, helplessness, devastation, surprise, or even rejection of the child, to understanding and relief. Early intervention is very important in the psychological support of the parent. Because any change disturbs the family equilibrium. A diagnosis of autism changes not only the life of the diagnosed child, but also the life of family members. All the resources are focused on the need of the child. Although each parent is different, after diagnosing the child with autism, all parents are overwhelmed by confusion, shock and denial. Parents' feelings can be influenced by how their children's situation affects different aspects of life - it has an impact on service, on social life and all their personal life. If we look at the family as a system and when a disturbing factor appears, all parts of the system are affected. The involvement of parents in the recovery of the child with autism has a decisive role in its development and in ensuring a high quality of child's life and family life.

This paper explores the analysis of sound speeds in the longitudinal direction and their reduction to the reference moisture content w = 12 %. The sound speed cw was determined with Sylvatest Duo device. Moisture content of beech sawmill assortments (round timber: N = 16, logs: N = 2 × 16, structural boards: N = 54) in the range of 12 – 72 % was measured. For the analysis purposes, the sound speed was converted to reference conditions (c12, uref = 12%). A second-degree polynomial (parabola) with a regression equation of the form: c// = 5649 - 27,371 × w + 0.0735 × w2 was used to convert cw to c12, and correction of measured and calculated values was used as well. The sound speeds c12 in sawmill assortments (c12,round, c12,log, c12,board) were evaluated by linear dependences. Dependence was not confirmed for c12,round and c12,board1 (r = 0.168), in contrast for c12,round and c12,log2 the dependence is statistically very significant (r = 0.634). The results of testing showed that the most suitable procedure for predicting quality of structural timber is the first step round timber – log2, the second step: log2 - board2. More exact results of the construction boards were obtained from log2 than from log1. The sound speed is used in the calculation of dynamic modulus of elasticity (Edyn). EN 408 mentions the possibility of using dynamic modulus of elasticity as an alternative method in predicting the quality of structural timber.
