This study explored stakeholders’ views on preventive measures towards increasing teachers’ malpractices in schools in Tanzania. Specifically, the study sought to identify prevalent forms of teachers' malpractices; explore factors for their occurrence; and explore views on how to forestall the problem. It draws on qualitative and quantitative data generated from 75 respondents including the Teachers’ Service Department (TSD) officers, education officers, school inspectors, teachers, and students. The data were generated from questionnaires, interviews, Focused Group Discussion, documentary search and non-participant observation. Data analysis involved both qualitative and quantitative approaches. While Qualitative data were subjected to thematic analysis, Quantitative data were converted into frequencies and percentages and then presented in tabular forms. The findings unveiled that absenteeism, abusive and violent behaviours, sexual abuse to mention a few were prevalent forms of teachers’ malpractices in schools. Their occurrence were attributed to teachers’ low salaries and remunerations, poor living and working conditions, influence of science and technology, lack of professional knowledge and poor management as well as infrequent visits and inspections of schools. In order to remedy the problem respondents proposed that teachers’ needs and plights to be addressed timely, funds allocated to the TSD should be raised and involvement of stakeholders in all decision making related to the teaching profession. It was also suggested for the TSD to be empowered to oversee teachers’ discipline both in public and private owned schools. In the light of the findings, the study concludes that teachers’ malpractice is still a problem of great concern in rural and urban schools in Tanzania. Therefore, rigorous collaborative effort by the government and the wider community is needed in order to promote desirable professional behaviour in schools.

Leadership is a process whereby an individual influences a group of individuals to achieve a common goal (Northhouse, 2011). In time and space, women leadership remains a subject talked about but hardly appreciated (Wren, 2013). Among the factors contributing to poor representation of women in leadership is stakeholder’s attitude (Coleman, 2005). The study sought to investigate stakeholder’s attitudes impeding women teachers' ascension to leadership positions in mixed public secondary schools, focusing in Tharaka South Sub – County, Kenya. The study employed descriptive cross-sectional survey design utilizing both qualitative and quantitative methods of data collection. Probability and non-probability sampling techniques were used to arrive at the sample size. Data was collected from women classroom teachers, heads of departments, school principals, education officers, education trade unionists, Parents and Teachers Association officials and School Board of Management officials. Questionnaires, interview guide and focus group discussion guides were used to collect both qualitative and quantitative data. Data analysis was assisted by computer software (Statistical Package for Social Sciences for quantitative data and NVIVO for qualitative data). The study established that education stakeholders have a general negative attitude towards women leadership in schools.

Penelitian ini bertujuan menghasilkan model evaluasi kinerja pendidikan inklusif (EKPI) di SD dengan menggunakan pen-dekatan kualitatif dan kuantitatif. Tahapan penelitian dimodifikasi dari model Borg & Gall dengan melibatkan Kepala Sekolah, guru, dan orang tua. Data diperoleh melalui teknik Focus Group Discussion, wawancara, observasi, dan studi dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa (1) model EKPI merupakan salah satu model evaluasi yang baik berdasarkan hasil penilaian pakar maupun praktisi penyelenggara pendidikan inklusif di SD; (2) model evaluasi kinerja SD penyelenggara pendidikan inklusif memiliki tujuh komponen, yakni kepemimpinan, rencana strategis, fokus terhadap peserta didik-orang tua, analisis kebutuhan, fokus ter-hadap guru-staf, pengelolaan kelas inklusif, dan hasil; (3) evaluasi model EKPI dalam proses implementasi di SD mampu meng-ungkap data secara: (a) komprehensif; (b) faktual; (c) fleksibel; dan (d)  berorientasi keragaman layanan. Kata kunci: pengembangan model evaluasi, pendidikan inklusif, SD. ______________________________________________________________DEVELOPING A MODEL OF PERFORMANCE EVALUATION OF ELEMENTARY SCHOOLS IMPLEMENTING INCLUSIVE EDUCATIONAbstract This study aims to produce a model of performance evaluation of elementary schools (ESs) implementing inclusive education by using qualitative and quantitative approaches. The research steps used the model by Borg & Gall, involving principals, teachers, and students’ parents. The data were collected through Focus Group Discussion (FGD), interviews, observations, document study, and discussions. Based on the results of the study, the following conclusions can be drawn. (1) The EKPI model is a good evaluation model. It is based on the result ofthe assessment by experts, usesrs and practitioners of inclusive education instruction; (2) The model of an evaluation of the performances of ESs implementing inclusive education has seven components, i.e. leadership, strategic plan, focus on students and parents, needs analysis, focus on teachers and staff, and inclusive class management, and product of the inclusive education implementation; (3) The EKPI model implemented  in the elementri schools can reveal data (a) comprehensively, (b) factualy, and (c) flexibly, (d) it was also oriented to a variety of services. This study aims to develop additional teaching materials in the form of e-Modul Bryophyta dengan Kajian Islam, as well as to determine the quality of the products developed based on the assessment of several validations, teachers, and students as respondents. The data collection instrument used a questionnaire. Descriptive qualitative and quantitative data analysis. The results of the research obtained indicate that the Bryophyta e-Module with Islamic Studies developed as a whole has the quality Very Fit for use in teaching and learning activities. With the percentage results from material experts of 89.2% with Very Feasible criteria, from media experts of 71.6% with Eligible criteria, from Islamic Religion experts of 82.6% with Very Appropriate criteria and an assessment of the teacher of 82.5% with criteria Very Eligible for use in teaching and learning activities. Meanwhile, the response of students obtained the overall percentage of small and large group tests of 85.2% with very attractive criteria. Thus, it can be concluded that e-Modul Bryophyta dengan Kajian Islam, which was developed with the Borg & Gall model, is feasible and very attractive to be used as teaching material for students in class X MIA in Ma, especially in Bryophyta lessons.

<p class="AbstractText">This study is aimed at exploring the voices of English teachers and students of a state senior high school towards the National Exam policy and its implementation in Indonesia. Several theories of psychology and language learning were applied in this study as the theoretical framework. This study used a descriptive qualitative method. The participants were chosen by purposive sampling technique. The data for this study were garnered through a Focus Group Discussion (FGD) conducted to the selected twelfth-grade students and semi-structured interviews done to two English teachers. Both data were analyzed descriptively. Upon the analysis, two paramount themes prevailed: (1) the negative response towards the implementation and accuracy of National Exam (NE) policy in Indonesia; and (2) unintended impacts of NE policy on teaching and learning activity, students’ motivation, and English Language Learning and Curriculum. This study offers information for the government as the policymaker, school leaders, teachers, and researchers to understand how the NE is implemented at the school level.</p>

In the Philippines, agriculture plays a vital role because this sector can contribute a lot in the development of the economy. The value of documenting the agriculture growth annually and the problems encountered is being done by the government particularly, the Department of Agriculture (DA) to come up with interventions or programs to support the Filipino farmers, both in rural and urban areas. Hence, this study focused on determining the farmers’ awareness on climate change and their adaptation strategies in one municipality in Batangas Province. By employing mixed method through self-made questionnaire and focus group discussion, this study revealed that respondents are highly aware on climate change and the best strategy to use in adapting to climate change was conservation agriculture. The study offered recommendations that different authorities can employ to strengthen the farmer’s awareness and adaptation on climate change.

The purpose of this research is to develop an integrated thematic learning model based on Islamic values in Madrasah Ibtidaiyah practically and effectively. The type of this research is development research that refers to the model of 4D. The distribution of this model is implemented in Madrasah Ibtidaiyah of Padang city in 2016. The types of data are qualitative and quantitative data. Qualitative data are derived from observation and interview. Furthermore, quantitative data are obtained from questionnaire. The products of integrated thematic learning model based on Islamic values which have been developed are model guidebook, educator guidebook, and student guidebook. The achievement of the research results indicate that the three products have meet the criteria of validality, practicality and effectiveness. The book model can be used by educators/ teachers and students of elementry school level in helping the students become active and having a good character.

The current teaching profession is very promising in terms of income, especially for those who have obtained a professional diploma. The government provides additional income or allowances for public and private teachers through a teacher qualification certification program. The government is trying to improve the professionalism of teachers, but in reality, there are not a few teachers who view from the wrong point of view that the professional allowance is a teacher's right and a government obligation. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of financial literacy, financial technology, and lifestyle on financial behavior in kindergarten teachers in the Sukolilo District, Surabaya City. Determination of the sample using the slovin method with purposive sampling technique resulted in a total sample of 74 respondents. The data analysis technique used is Partial square (PLS). The results of this study indicate that financial literacy has a positive and significant effect on financial behavior, financial technology is not significant to financial behavior, and lifestyle has a positive and significant effect on financial behavior.

Background: Mother and baby’s death is still a global isue. The presence of village midwife has been proved effective in decreasing pains and deaths. However, in the past few years, the contribution of village midwife in preventing deaths is questioned. The low performance of village midwife is regarded as the reason why the isue exists.Objective: To find out the reasons why village midwife performance is not optimum.Design. The study used mixed methods with sequencial exploratory strategy. The study was started by collecting qualitative data, which was then followed by collecting quantitative data. The collecting of qualitative data was done by having focus group discussion (FGD) and thorough interviews, while the collecting of quantitative data was conducted by fulfilling questionaires.Setting: These activities had been carried out from August to November 2016 in 27 subdistricts in Indragiri Hilir Regency.Participants: The data collecting was done by involving 5 facilitators, 2 interviewers, and 27 data collecting officers. There were 77 midwives who had been involved in FGDs, meanwhile 31 midwives were involved in thorough interviews and 439 midwives took part in fulfilling questionaires.Results: The obstacles which make the village midwife performance not optimum include health policies and regulations, competency, tools and infrastructure, demography, geography, security and safety, midwife intrinsic and family.Conclusions: Problems faced by village midwives are too complicated to overcome by midwives alone. The deadly effect of Covid-19 has changed the world dramatically. The education sector is one of the worst sufferers due to the official closures of educational institutions worldwide. The government of Bangladesh has declared all the on-campus activities shut in March 2020. This paper explains the effect of faculty and student readiness in adopting virtual classes considering the mediating effect of technology adoption intention. Teachers and students from private and public universities in Bangladesh are surveyed for this research. The findings revealed that the private universities are well ahead of providing online education as their faculty and students are ready with logistics and mindset to adopt technology-based virtual learning while the public university stakeholders are yet to initiate it. It is concluded that the lack of readiness of public universities will create a massive gap between public and private university education and rural and urban students as well. The proposed model of this research can help the policymakers and the government in formulating policy guidelines for bringing all the students and teachers on virtual education platforms irrespective of their university affiliations.

The main problem in the management of the floodplain of Lake Tempe is the weak involvement of affected communities in disaster management. The purpose of this research is to comprehensively analyze and map stakeholders in managing floodplain. The penta helix concept is used in stakeholder mapping. This research applied mixed methods, qualitative and quantitative. Data collection was done through in-depth interviews with various parties who understand the problem of research and direct observation "pre", "whilst", and "post" a disaster occured. Affected communities are found to be an important part of the disaster management stage. Affected communities, who have been the object of disaster, should be the subject of disaster management. The recommendation for the results of this research is that the concept of five stakeholders in penta helix was ​​not sufficient in disaster management. Affected communities deserve to be placed as one of the stakeholders, in addition to the government, business world, universities, NGOs, mass media.
