Multiculturalism in Education: Politics of Recognition

One of the aims of education is the integration of students in the culture or cultures of society. However, western society presents a complex, ambiguous picture that is full of paradoxes. Three aspects of western society, the process of modernization, the influence of religion and church in society, and the social integration of minority groups in society illustrate this ambiguity. The politics of recognition implies a right to the preservation of identity. On the basis of the principle of equality, students of minority groups deserve recognition both as individuals on the basis of their human dignity, and as members of a cultural group on the basis of the principle of non-discrimination. Recognition of cultures is based on the principle of distinctiveness, which implies the value of distinct cultural characteristics. The consequences of this politics of recognition for education are discussed. In the context of a discussion of liberalism and communitarianism, a communicative design is developed that avoids the Scylla of educational neglect and the Charybdis of indoctrination and manipulation. Finally, the politics of recognition in Christian education is discussed. Different models of religious education are described and evaluated on the basis of three criteria.

It is like a circle, using business to build social integration and using social integration to increase competitiveness in the labour market for the Albanian ethnic immigrant minorities, increasing as well their human capital capacities, especially bridging transnational on domestic products and brands in order to make it easier for those to internationalize. Consequently, it will valorise their social position in the societies they live and work.This paper addresses and analysis, as well as evaluates the role entrepreneurship has on the social development and social integration of the ethnic immigrant minorities and the increase of their attractiveness in the international labour market.The paper addresses also the reasons and factors impacting the emerging of ethnic immigrant entrepreneurship worldwide and in EU. It analyzes their role on the world entrepreneurship and economic system, the actual situation of ethnic immigrant minorities, their social networks and organizations emerged due to their role as a new force and human capital in these markets. In this framework, being a transnational bridge on the internationalization of their home country products and culture, the Albanian ethnic immigrant entrepreneurship, as the main focus group of this study, can increase its possibilities to be more competitive in the labour market.Economic integration induces immigrants to increase contacts and be part of economic networks and  social networks too, as well as improve, as a necessity deriving from the economic competition, their human capital capacities and capabilities getting use of international labour market. Considering economic and human capital development we will measure their impact on the social welfare and integration of the ethnic immigrant minority groups in the modern society (Albanians in Province of Milan, Italy).

Artificial intelligence innovations, such as chatbots and specialized education suggestion tools, provide potential interactive and on-demand pedagogical engagement between non-Christians and Christians with Christianity. However, there is little empirical research on the readiness, acceptance, and adoption of religious education involvement of AI in a secular state such as Vietnam. This research addresses the literature gap by providing an entrepreneurial analysis and customer perspectives on the ideas of AI involvement in religious education. Specifically, the study explores whether the Vietnamese across different ages accept and have enough skills to adopt AI in Christian education innovation. The interview sample is 32 participants, selected based on their religious orientation (Christians and non-Christians) and age (Generation X, Generation Y, and Generation Z). Most respondents are open to AI application in religious education except for Church personnel. However, only Generation Z are fully prepared to adopt this innovation. Theoretically, the research customizes the Unified Theory of Acceptance and Use of Technology model into religious innovation context. Practically, this research acts as market research on the demand for AI’s religious innovation in Vietnam, an insight for future religious tech entrepreneurs.

Ethnic organizations such as presently exist in large numbers in West Germany are often viewed as indicating a lack of social integration and participation by immigrants in the host society. It is here argued that whether these organizations segregate the immigrants and make their assimilation more difficult, as research on minority groups often claims, or whether they serve as mediating institutions to help integrate and assimilate the newcomers, as other theories would lead one to expect, will depend on the basic orientation of the ethnic organization itself toward the host country. The results of a study carried out in 1981–82 among Greek, Italian and Turkish immigrants indicate the distinctive characteristics of the organizations serving each of these three different groups, the extent to which persons of each nationality participate in these associations, the reasons they give for their participation, and the ways in which participation in organizations with different orientations affects the social integration and assimilation of the individual immigrants.

The present research examines the social value attributed to endorsing the belief in a just world for self (BJW-S) and for others (BJW-O) in a Western society. We conducted four studies in which we asked participants to assess a target who endorsed BJW-S vs. BJW-O either strongly or weakly. Results showed that endorsement of BJW-S was socially valued and had a greater effect on social utility judgments than it did on social desirability judgments. In contrast, the main effect of endorsement of BJW-O was to reduce the target’s social desirability. The results also showed that the effect of BJW-S on social utility is mediated by the target’s perceived individualism, whereas the effect of BJW-S and BJW-O on social desirability is mediated by the target’s perceived collectivism.

Abstract. Educational environment is needed in the education process, because the educational environment serves to support the process of teaching and learning, a comfortable environment and support for the implementation of an education is needed. The environment is distinguished into the biological environment, the non-living natural environment, the artificial environment and the social environment. Education is one of the first obligations for parents. In Islam, the person most responsible for the education of the child is the parent. The family is the "smallest people" who have leaders and members, has a division of work and work, and the rights and obligations of each member. The best exemplary education for children is if both parents are able to connect their child with the example of Rasûlullâh SAW, as uswah of all mankind. A positive school environment is a school environment that provides facilities and motivation for religious education. Keywords. Environment, Education   Abstrak. Lingkungan pendidikan sangat dibutuhkan dalam proses pendidikan, sebab lingkungan pendidikan berfungsi menunjang terjadinya proses belajar mengajar, lingkungan yang nyaman dan mendukung bagi terselenggaranya suatu pendidikan sangat dibutuhkan. Lingkungan dibedakan menjadi lingkungan alam hayati, lingkungan alam non-hayati, lingkungan buatan dan lingkungan sosial. Pendidikan merupakan salah satu kewajiban pertama bagi orang tua. Dalam Islam, orang yang paling bertanggung jawab dalam pendidikan anak adalah orang tua. The scientific enterprise reflects society at large, and as such it actively disadvantages minority groups. From an ethical perspective, this system is unacceptable as it actively undermines principles of justice and social good, as well as the research principles of openness and public responsibility. Further, minority social scientists lead to better overall scientific products, meaning a diverse scientific body can also be considered an instrumental good. Thus, centering minority voices in science is an ethical imperative. This paper outlines what can be done to actively center these scientists, including changing the way metrics are used to assess the performance of individual scientists and altering the reward structure within academic science to promote heterogenous research groups.

The article considers the contradictions and conflicts that are characteristic of modern Russian society. The processes of social disintegration are analyzed and interpreted as a result of fundamental social and economic transformations. The problems of economic inequality are presented in the historical perspective in close connection with the previous stages of Russia's socioeconomic development. Significant polarization of the population is one of the most significant conflict factors in modern society, which leads to an increase in protest moods and may in the long term threaten social upheavals. Nevertheless, dissatisfaction with the socio-economic situation does not lead to ideas of the unification and consolidation of society, but find expression in social conflicts. The emergence and development of social conflicts is influenced by a number of factors: economic, ethnic, religious. One of the most important characteristics of society is its social structure. After the collapse of the USSR, the previous social structure was abolished, and a new social reality was formed in Russia. When considering the stratification structure of society, most attention is paid to the middle class, which is considered the backbone of a stable society. The middle class in Russia is in the stage of formation, it is hardly possible to speak of a complete analogy with the middle class of Western society. The share of middle class in society can be estimated in different ways depending on the methodological approaches used by researchers. An important consequence of the transformation of the social structure was the problem of marginalization, since the dismantling of the old social structure and the slow formation of the new one put the social status and place in the division of labor system of many individuals into question. The sharp impoverishment of representatives of prestigious professions led to a reassessment of their situation, especially for the younger generation. When analyzing the origins of social conflicts in modern Russian society, it is necessary to consider the issue of the attitude of the broad masses of the population to power and national elites. It should be noted that power in Russia historically takes shape around specific leaders and does not have an institutional character. The most significant factor shaping the attitude towards the authorities and the elite in general in Russian society are the economic results of the market reforms that have taken place. Only a small part of the population believes that they won as a result of the changes that have taken place, the natural consequence of which is the population's distrust of the authorities and, in general, political institutions.
