Abstract Introduction The merchant marine fleet is under inspection by several parties to ensure maritime regulation compliance. International Maritime Organization mainly regulates the industry, and the most effective defender is indeed Port StateControl run by the regional memorandum of understandings. Objective This article aims to analyze all detention remarks of Paris Memoranda of Understanding (MOU) from 2013 to 2019 for EU15 countries (except Luxemburg and Austria) to guide marine industry on detainable Port State Control remarks and country risk profile. Methods The data of the detained vessels taken from the public website of Paris MOU and each report considered as a professional judgment that causes detention. Analytical Hierarchy Process Approach has been utilized to indicate the ranking of basic maritime regulations from the perspective of the Port State Control, and Geographic Information System (GIS) helps us to demonstrate the regional dispersion amongst EU15. Results Through an approach based on Analytical Hierarchy Process and demonstrating the results on GIS has been shown that almost all the country’s top priorities for regulation are Safety of Life at Sea (SOLAS) and Fire Safety Systems (FSS). Moreover, a comparative demonstration of the detention percentage of each regulation to AHP results demonstrates a better understanding of EU15 countries' detention profile. Conclusion The results of the study can assist Port State Officers, ship crew, ship owners, and managers in presenting the facts of their inspection and able to improve themselves. The spatial analysis is also expected to guide ship owners and managers to focus their vessel’s deficiencies on preventing sub-standardization. Policymakers also utilize these reports to evaluate their inspection practices.

This study investigated the factors influencing the implementation of a port state control (PSC) system. The analytical hierarchy process (AHP) was employed to develop a framework including 4 dimensions and 14 factors for assessing the priority of the major factors and subfactors. An expert questionnaire was conducted in Taiwan. The priority levels of the factors in influencing PSC operation are presented herein. In addition, conclusions were derived from an empirical case study of Taiwan. Some challenges are also discussed to reveal the common problems and special difficulties faced by independent PSC regimes that remain excluded from regional memoranda of understanding.

With increasing social awareness on the issue of corporate social performance (CSP), the measurement of CSP has received considerable attention in both academic literature and managerial practice. Though earlier literature provides several methods for measuring corporate social activities, almost all of them have some limitations. In this paper, we propose a methodology for the development of a systematic measure of CSP based on fuzzy analytical hierarchy process (FAHP). In addition, a preliminary investigation is presented to explain how the approach can help in evaluating CSP in practice.

Technologies are keep evolving and growing where almost all activities and services such as in the area of trading, commerce and education can be completed via online.  Unfortunately, the funeral arrangement and handling service is still operating in the same process as it is done by our elderly before. Here, the proposed application will help user handling the funeral a lot faster and easier. I-JenzCare is a platform where the service provider and the user can match with one’s need on the funeral arrangement service. I-JenzCare is a unique idea because no similar application or system had been developed in related on a Muslim funeral handling yet in Malaysia. This study provides new values to the traditional Islamic funeral arrangement services which has been practiced in the Malay community. I-JenzCare which employs analytical hierarchy process (AHP) technique just requires a medium-end smartphone to keep everything on the best user experience standard. In a nutshell, the system is a handy application for those who needs immediate assistance on funeral handling in Malaysia

Trains are one of the modes of public transportation that are widely used by the public. Travel by train has many advantages. To answer the needs of its users, PT Kereta Api Indonesia (KAI) develop Kereta Rel Listrik (KRL) Commuter Line which is a commuter railway service that is operated by PT KAI. Since 1 October 2012, PT Kereta Api Indonesia (Persero) Commuter Jabodetabek (Greater Jakarta) launched a special train carriage of women. The existence of this special train cariage is intended for women who use public transport to avoid criminal acts, sexual harassment etc. However, after the operation of women-only carriages in KRL complaints from female passengers using the carriage facilities reappeared. This article aims to analyze existing conditions and infrastructure of KRL Commuter Line with one sample T Test and analyze the efforts that can be done to improve the quality of women mobility using KRL with the Analytical Hierarchy Process. In general, except for train capacity, the resepondents were satisfied. For women mobility quality improvement using KRL, most of the respondents suggest additional train frequency. Purpose of the study: This paper aims to elaborate on how the institutional logic of public housing provision transforms from the old logic into the new logic. By encapsulating tacit-knowledge from the shift, this study focuses on how to explicate a model of multi-criteria decision-making for executing official residence projects in Indonesia. This research also aims to recuperate the future of the public residency field. Methodology: The methodology employed was a mixed method. The qualitative method was firstly applied by utilizing semi-structured interviews to build a decision-making model. Later, a quantitative method was implemented to improve the consistency of the model by using the Analytical Hierarchy Process protocols. Thirteen project representatives and ten decision-makers were being involved as the main informants. Google Sheets web-based software was applied for analyzing survey results by making use of a mathematical model for the Analytical Hierarchy Process. Main Findings: The result indicates that land not used as paddy field, fair house price, safe from flood location, serene ambiance, and developer experience has played a significant part in affecting buying decisions for residency projects. To carry out the new method, the total scores of the AHP calculation should be above 50. Otherwise, the government shall opt for the old mechanism. Applications of this study: The paper contributes to the public sector accounting field in the area of asset management and public housing procurement. The paper also gives a strong basis for the field to make use of the model of Indonesia's public housing provision. The government can adopt the research framework for choosing the new model or the old one. Novelty/Originality of this study: This study might be the only one of its kind. The research was using a multi-method to achieve the objectives. To generate a multi-criteria decision-making model, grounded data of excessive interviews were abstracted. Then the abstracted tacit-knowledge was tested with AHP to provide a consistent model.

Talun sub-district is a government institution that provides public services to the public, which at this time there is no assessment of service satisfaction from the community so that the District Talun cannot know the assessment or complaints from the public to public services provided. The research aims to determine the level of public satisfaction of Public Service in Talun Sub-district. AHP is a complex multi-criteria decision-making method, in an unstructured situation into sections that are then shaped into functional hierarchies to present problems to be solved and then build a priority sequence for alternatives by pairwise alternative comparisons based on judgments of decision makers against a system. The appraisal application yields the value of the public satisfaction level and the eigenvector ranked according to the highest data as the final value of the AHP calculation so that the eigenvector value obtained can facilitate the Camat to see which elements of service are not good.
