Regarding the issue of balance between environmental sustainability and the inherent ecological interventions of agricultural biotechnology, multiannual studies substantiate that loss of biodiversity, due to the use of GM crops, is globally less important than several other practices. Thus, what explains this diametrically extreme confrontation, from part of the scientific community? I presume, that the controversy is a philosophical one, and is expressed mainly by two contrasting materialistic approaches; the so called reductionist (or molecularist) view and the opposing holistic (or organismic) view, both of which, in their comparative analysis, prove, in my view, their incapability in definitely resolving such dilemmas.The first, as an anthropocentric approach, seems unsuccessful in building any concept of ecosystem integrity on the basis of moral duty while the second, as a biocentric approach, does not take into consideration the effects in human populations, and provides limited guidance with respect to the environments in which agriculture has already replaced the natural order. Norton’s concept provides a new perspective, since it recognizes the human duty to conduct agriculture, in a manner that supports survival for the people on this planet, while simultaneously it maintains the ecological dynamics that sustain life. Based on Norton’s “weak anthropocentrism”, we can be easily led to the “convergence” of policies, through a “contextualized” hierarchy of moral choices for the issues of agricultural biotechnology.

Historically the tradition of male calf release in Tambakan Villlage was initiated from the vow of the defeated soldier of the kingdom of Buleleng over the kingdom of Bangli in the Island of Bali in the region of present day Indonesia. The defeated soldiers of Buleleng were hiding in the forest around the presentday village of Tambakan, Buleleng, Bali. All the soldiers vowed to the Deity dwelling in the forest to hand over a male calf if they survived the pursuit of the enemy. In the end, the enemy could not find them and the soldiers remained in the forest and continued their lives there. The village was named as Tambakan, meaning a buffer of enemy attack. The village was surrounded by a fence made from bamboo during that time. The soldiers then paid their vows by releasing male calves into the forest. This historical incident then developed to become a belief of the local peoples that if they vow to release a male calf to the Deity, then their wish will be fulfilled. Indeed many wishes of the people did come true when they released a male calf to the forest. Consequently, the population of the bulls increased in the forest, and by the influence of the Hindu Tantra sect, about 23 bulls from the forest are taken out every 2 years to be sacrificed in the temples addressed to Goddess of Durga. The meat of the sacrificed bulls is then distributed to the members of the village to be consumed. The releases of male calves gives benefit to environmental sustainability and the distribution of the meat after sacrificing guarantees food security for the people.

Angesichts des markanten Aufstiegs des Rechtspopulismus in den vergangenen Jahren drängt sich die Frage immer wieder auf, ob oder inwiefern das Parlament den eigentlichen Volkswillen (noch) vertreten kann, und wie im Zeitalter der Globalisierung und Digitalisierung der eigentliche Volkswille überhaupt festzustellen und effektiv durchzusetzen ist. In dieser Hinsicht steht das Vertrauen in die Fähigkeit des Parlaments, den wahren Volkswillen herauszubilden und zu artikulieren, erneut vor großen Herausforderungen. Durch eine vergleichende Analyse zwischen den Demokratietheorien Böckenfördes und Kelsens zeigt der vorliegende Beitrag, weshalb und inwiefern das weitverbreitete Verständnis des Volkswillens und dessen Rolle in der parlamentarischen Demokratie gerade vor dem heutigen Hintergrund eine kritische Besinnung verdient. Es wird argumentiert, dass gerade in demokratischer Hinsicht nicht die Suche nach dem „wahren Volkswillen“, sondern nach wie vor die Gewährleistung der Menschen- bzw. Grundrechte der Einzelnen und insbesondere der Minderheiten von zentraler Bedeutung sein soll. In view of the spread of right-wing populism in recent years, the question as to how the will of the people is to be ascertained and expressed has attracted much attention in constitutional scholarship. In particular, the issue of whether or to what extent the parliament is (still) capable of representing and demonstrating the will of the people has been repeatedly discussed and debated. Through a comparative analysis of Böckenförde’s und Kelsen’s democratic theories, this article critically examines the problems of the widespread understanding of the will of the people as a real-empirical existence and its significance for the realization of democracy. Accordingly, it points out why and in what sense the reference to the so-called real will of the people would undermine rather than promote democracy. This article concludes by arguing that, precisely for the sake of democracy, what is crucial is not to determine what the “real will of the people” is, but rather to guarantee the freedom of the individual and especially of the minorities.

Abstract A comparative analysis of Ep. 361 and Eun. 1.19 in terms of language and ideas will offer a renewed confirmation (on internal grounds) of Basil of Caesarea’s authorship of Ep. 361 and a new perspective on Basil’s relationship with the Homoiousians. In addition, the article will also retrace the steps and revisit the purpose of Basil’s argument. Thus we discover in the early Basil an author simultaneously receptive to both Homoiousian and pro-Nicene visions, but leaning towards an improved Homoiousian solution. The article further investigates Basil’s vision of ousia in Ep. 361 and finds that—unlike in his later, mature, period—the early Basil shares with the Homoiousians and Eusebius of Caesarea two doctrinal elements, namely the understanding of ousia as individual substance and an associated theology of “likeness”. He inherits this view from a tradition originating in the third century, which received its official confirmation at the council of Antioch in 268. This vision is also present in the first part of Basil’s Contra Eunomium. Instead of considering Basil as a Homoiousian, one may see him, together with Eusebius and the Homoiousians, as a representative of the Antiochene legacy.

Forestry issue has ever been discussed in conference of United Nation Framework Convention on Climate Change about deforestation that happens because industrialization that oriented toward economical growth and ignores environment aspect that can cause global warming. In Bali, sustainability has been a pplied since long time ago. It can be proved by the existence of tumpek wariga that makes an appreciation respect directly to the plants is an embodiment of environmental sustainability as a manifestation of local wisdom. This is insufficient remember the fact that the condition of Bali's forests has been distorted. This analysis aims to know the simultaneous and partial influences and the most dominant determinants affecting forest sustainability. Within the lifetime data and analysis of adaptive partial adjustment model double log, this analysis found the fact that simultanousely and partially Domestic Product Regional Bruto, the amount of citizen, regional autonomy policy and forest sustainability condition on previous year has significant influence toward forest sustainability during the period of this analysis. The amount of citizen variable is the most dominant variable toward forest sustainability because it obtains the highest standardized of coefficient data of 0,292. Based on the analysis, result and discussion, forest have to be well maintained, conserved and utilized in balance for all the people prosperity in current generation and for the sake of next generation. Correct management needed for development sustainability especially in long-term capacity through internalization and negative externalization which caused by economical development

<p><em>Serang city is the Capital City of Banten Province. As the time goes by, the population increases and the poor people needs an access to have a home. There are two housing environments, which is called “simple healthy housing environment” to help the poor people ,which are Banten Indah Permai and Bumi Serang Timur, but the condition is the housing environments are lack of infrastructures and facilities. This problem makes a question how the suitability of simple healthy housing environment in Kota Serang is. The suitability study of simple healthy housing environment in Serang city is done by using scoring method analysis to count the suitability of the simple healthy housing environment standards as the output and perception of the people inside the housing environment as the outcome of this simple healthy housing environment. Descriptive comparative analysis is used also to know how output and outcome can match each other in the housing environment. Final scoring result obtained that Banten Indah Permai has been classified as suit in output because of the 58 score , but Bumi Serang Timur is not suit in output because it has 55 score. In outcome scoring, Banten Indah has been classified as suit in outcome for the 76,94 score, and also for Bumi Serang Timur has 75,68 for the outcome score. With comparative analyisis, this study also obtained that there are many infrastructure and facilities in housing environment which are not give the outcome as usual the housing environment gives.</em></p><p><strong><em> </em></strong></p><p><strong><em>Keywords:</em></strong><em> simple healthy housing, suitability,  scoring, environment, </em></p>

This paper explores a new theoretical and empirical approach to the assessment of human well-being, relevant to current challenges of social fragmentation in the presence of globalization and technological advance. We present two indexes of well-being—solidarity (S) and agency (A)—to be considered alongside the standard indexes of material gain (G) and environmental sustainability (E). The four indexes—SAGE—form a balanced dashboard for evaluating well-being. The solidarity index covers the needs of humans as social creatures, living in societies that generate a sense of social belonging. The agency index involves people’s need to influence their fate through their own efforts. While “economic prosperity” (material gain) is conventionally measured through GDP per capita, “social prosperity” can be measured through our solidarity and agency indexes, alongside environmental sustainability that is measured through the Environmental Performance Index. The SAGE dashboard is meant to provide a “sage” approach to assessing well-being, since it aims to denote sagacity in the pursuit and satisfaction of fundamental human needs and purposes. Many of the prominent challenges of the 21st century, including the dissatisfaction of population groups who feel left behind by globalization and technological advance, may be viewed in terms of a “decoupling” of economic prosperity from social prosperity. We present a theoretical model that provides a new perspective on the welfare effects of globalization and automation. The dashboard is meant to provide an empirical basis for mobilizing action in government, business, and civil society to promote a recoupling of economic and social prosperity.

Статья посвящена сравнительному анализу исследовательской концепции происхождения и сущности божества осетинского пантеона Сафы, принадлежащей одному из ведущих осетиноведов Тамерлану Александровичу Гуриеву. Концепция представлена в статье «Геродотова Гестия/Табити и Сафа в осетинской нартиаде» [1]. Сложность, «многослойность» исследуемого объекта по сей день сохраняет дискуссию в научном сообществе. До сих пор не существует однозначного ответа по поводу истоков появления Сафы, его подлинной сущности, образа и характера, этимологии имени. Мы ставим своей целью рассмотреть еще один вариант объяснения ономастики и сакральных функций Сафы, представленных в концепции авторитетного ученого-лингвиста Тамерлана Александровича Гуриева, подвергнуть ее научному анализу и определить степень ее интегрированности в современное осетиноведение. Новизна исследования заключается в предпринятом перекрестном анализе двух разных концепций Сафы – Т.А. Гуриева и Б.А. Алборова, – что позволило обнаружить ряд сходных выводов, к которым оба ученых в разное время пришли совершенно самостоятельно, чем, в свою очередь, косвенно подтверждается их объективность. Существенная разница точек зрения (Б.А. Алборов считал Сафу производным от протоиудейского бога Саваофа, а Т.А. Гуриев – скифской богини Табити) не помешала ученым прийти к общим выводам. К наиболее существенным сходным чертам обеих концепций можно отнести вывод о солярности Сафы (правда, по-разному трактуемой) и о том, что божество на самом деле является результатом маскулинизации. The article is devoted to a comparative analysis of the research concept of the origin and essence of the deity Safa of the Ossetian pantheon, which belongs to one of the leading Ossetian scholars Tamerlan Alexandrovich Guriev. The concept is presented in the article "Herodot’s Hestia / Tabiti and Safa in the Ossetian Nartyada" [1]. The complexity, "multi-layered" nature of the object under study to this day keeps the discussion in the scientific community. Until now, there is no unequivocal answer about the origins of the appearance of Safa, his true essence, image and character, the etymology of the name. We aim to consider another version interpreting Safa's onomastics and his sacred functions, presented in the concept of the reknown linguist Tamerlan Aleksandrovich Guriev, subject it to scientific analysis and determine the degree of its integration into modern Ossetian studies. The novelty of the research lies in the undertaken cross-analysis of two different concepts of Safa advanced by T.A. Guriev and B.A. Alborov with the aim of finding a number of similar conclusions, to which both scientists at different times came completely independently, which, in turn, indirectly confirms their objectivity. A significant and basic difference in points of view (BA Alborov considered Safu to be derived from the proto-Jewish god Sabaoth, and T.A. Guriev ‒ the Scythian goddess Tabiti), did not prevent the scientists from coming to general conclusions. The most significant similarities between both concepts include the conclusion about Safa's solarity (though interpreted in different ways) and that the deity is in fact the result of masculinization.

Transforming our World: The 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, which is issued by the United Nations in 2015, put forward 17 goals for sustainable development to promote worldwide peace and freedom. Among the 17 goals, one goes to the education vision, stating that “Ensure inclusive and equitable quality education and promote lifelong learning opportunities for all”. This goal further and clearly describes the features of the future education: lifelong, inclusive, fair and high-quality. To make the dream true, every country should rethink the present education service and make reforms based on the national situation. In this context, this paper discusses the direction, construction, objects and layout of a lifelong inclusive education service suitable for present China’s national conditions, in hope of contributing Chinese wisdom to the “Community of shared future for mankind”. It is suggested in this paper that we should give priority to the construction and perfection of the macroscopic system and operating mechanisms for the lifelong inclusive education service in consideration of input and output efficiency; that we should update our mind and think of the education from a new perspective, that is, regard the lifelong inclusive education service as part of public service for all the people; that we should provide suitable education service for all students, regardless of age, race, disability, gender and wealth; that we should design and implement the educational projects reasonably and scientifically in order to better realize the goal.

AbstractNW by Zadie Smith opens with a multicultural and multiracial scene and revolves around the crises in the lives of four people with longstanding connection to Northwest London. The Northwest London in NW is a besieged city, and the people therein could not see any possibility of getting out because the gate has been latched with the concept of social class. In NW, the social class is materialized as space, economic position and race. Geographically NW features the main areas of London, and considers the role of that city in shaping the consciousness of the major characters, a partly spatial configuring of identity. In addition, the major characters in NW also suffer from occupational exclusion and economic exploitation, which then lead to their lower-class position since social class is constructed in such a way that agents are distributed according to their positions in the statistical distribution based on the economic and cultural capital. Finally the racial discrimination encountered by the characters in NW shows that class relations shape the form that racial oppression takes. The racialization of class issues becomes a politically effective tool for the wealthy to divide and rule the lower classes. In NW, Smith thus has adopted a more political attitude than in her previous books, so the relatively new perspective of her fiction might be the attention she draws to the persistent obstacles to class crossing and the acknowledgment of the rigid lines that still define the social classes.
