The paper presents research results of patho-morphological effects of extremely low frequency rotating magnetic fields and pulsed traveling magnetic fields on the kidneys of mammals from the perspective of in-formation theory. The study was conducted in four experimental groups and one control group, each of which consisted of 15 adult mice line S/Bl6. The following information characteristics were determined for all groups: information capacity, i.e. the maximum structural diversity of functional systems, information entropy, information organization, information relative entropy and the coefficient of relative organization of the system. Analysis of the values of information characteristics have allowed to establish that the lowest values of information entropy and maximum values of the coefficient of relative organization of the system were obtained in the groups with the most severe pathological changes. This indicates the formation of stable equilibrium as the norm, and in terms of irreversible pathological process. The results of the correlation analysis in all groups showed that the highest accuracy of prediction have regression model for relative information entropy, obtained in the control group and in group 2, in which severe pathological changes didn’t observed.

The aim was to study the nature of the morphological changes over time in the bone tissue around the implants under the influence of low-intensity pulsed ultrasound in the experiment. Materials and methods. Experimental studies were carried out on rabbits of the chinchilla breed, with dental implants installed in the tibia – two experimental groups with ultrasound and one control group. The animals were withdrawn from the experiment at 1, 2, 4 and 8 weeks and histological examination of the sections of peri-implant tissues was carried out. Results. The processes of osseointegration of dental implants in all groups of animals occurred without disrupting the normal process sequence. In the early stages granulation tissue is formed, later it is replaced by fibrous-reticular and coarse-fibrous bone tissue, and at the end – by a more mature lamellar bone tissue. However, the timing and degree of maturation of bone tissue, as well as osseointegration of implants in groups using low-frequency low-intensity pulsed ultrasound and without it differed significantly. The study showed that ultrasound exposure to implants and surrounding tissues induces osteoreparation processes, stimulating neoangiogenesis in granulation and newly formed bone tissue. Conclusion. Application of ultrasound to implants and subsequent application to the peri-implant tissues during and after dental implantation promotes the formation of bone tissue, identical by the histostructure to the maternal bone.

Abstract Background: The cystic endometrial hyperplasia-pyometra complex (CEH-P) is one of the most common uteropathies in bitches. In diseases with mild or obscure clinical signs and normal uterine size, a diagnosis based on a clinical assessment might be incorrect. The main aim of the research was to determine the morphological variables accompanying uterine diseases in bitches in microscopic evaluation. Consequently, the obtained results can be used to create a new classification system for uterine pathological changes during the development of the CEH-P, diagnosed by microscopic examination in bitches. Material for the study consisted of the uteri of 120 female dogs, aged 1-16 years, obtained during routine ovariohysterectomies. Macroscopic observation after a longitudinal incision of the uterine horns, allowed a preliminary classification of the uteri into research groups: control group (physiological uteri), and groups GI-III uteri collected form bitches with varying degrees of endometrial pathology. These preliminary classifications were then verified by histological analysis (H&E stain). Results: The obtained results made it possible to determine and describe the prevalence (%) of pathological changes characteristic of the analyzed uterine diseases in the examined bitches. Histopathological analyses that were conducted have confirmed preliminary macroscopic evaluation for the control group, group GII (CEH), and group GIII (pyometra). In the uteri of the GI group, a severe congestion of endometrium has been observed – this is typical of inflammation – which was not confirmed during histopathological examinations. However, these examinations revealed acute endometrial haemorrhage of varying severity. Conclusions: Early reproduction disorders in bitches are, in general, not confirmed by clinical signs in the examined animals. The results show that during classification of typical morphological changes in endometrium over the development of the CEH-P complex in bitches microscopic examinations are required. The obtained results indicate a frequent lack of consistency in the macroscopic assessment and histological analysis of the endometrium, observed in the analyzed uterine diseases, which in most cases is not followed by clinical symptoms. The presented classification of uterine diseases may be useful as a diagnostic tool in reproductive disorders in bitches and in examination in the field of basic research.

Abstract Background: The relationship between breech presentation and trochlear dysplasia had been confirmed. However, the pathological process of breech-related trochlear dysplasia remain unclear. This study aimed to establish an animal model to simulate breech presentation and to analyze the pathological process of the femoral trochlea.Materials and Methods: One hundred and twenty neonatal rats were randomly assigned into a control group and two experimental groups that were swaddled (using surgical tape) to keep the hip flexed and knees extended to simulate human breech presentation for the 5 days (short Swaddling) and the 10 days (prolonged Swaddling) of life. Gross and cross-sectional observation, histological staining measurement in two experimental time points (5, 10 days after birth) were conducted to evaluate the morphological changes of the femoral trochlea. Results: The incidence of trochlear dysplasia increased with the Swaddling time. Rats in the prolonged Swaddling group had the high prevalence of trochlea dysplasia (52 of 60), followed by short Swaddling group (42 of 60). Gross and cross-sectional observation showed a shallower trochlea groove in two experimental groups. Histologicalstaining measurement indicated that the trochlear sulcus angle and trochlear sulcus depth were significantly different between the experimental group and the control group since day 5 and day 10. Conclusion: In this model, breech presentation had a adverse influence on neonatal knees and could induce trochlear dysplasia. What is more, this study also showed that the more time in breech presentation, the more incidence of trochlear dysplasia.

Annotation. The authors' study highlights the urgent problem of the development of toxic damage to the dentition under the influence of anticancer therapy in children and adolescents. The aim of the study was to study the violation of the homeostasis of the oral fluid and the severity of the carious process. Materials and methods. As part of a pilot study at the Russian Field Treatment and Rehabilitation Center, 63 children were studied the severity of mineral homeostasis disorders and damage to the dentoalveolar system. Results. In 67% of patients in the main group, there was an increased tendency to form carious cavities. 54.5% of them have complicated caries. One third of patients had more than five carious teeth. In the control group, carious lesions of the teeth in only three patients (20%), with the involvement of 1-3 teeth in the pathological process. Violation of enamel formation was diagnosed in 36% of children of the main group. There is a tendency for the accumulation of the studied microelements in the oral fluid, while in the blood serum there is a normal or insignificant decrease in their content. According to the literature, this may indicate destruction in the oral cavity. Deviations in the homeostasis of chemical elements in children who completed the treatment of malignant neoplasms and children in the control group were revealed. An increased content of osteotrophic microelements was found to correlate with the destructive processes of the teeth. Conclusion. It seems appropriate to study the severity of morphological changes in hard tissues of teeth and the electrolyte composition of mixed saliva in children and adolescents who have been cured of malignant neoplasms. The results of studies of gastric cancer, as an indicator of metabolic disorders, will make it possible not only to reveal the imbalance of macro- and microelements, but also to establish the effectiveness of adaptation mechanisms aimed at normalizing the elemental composition of the oral fluid.

Objective: to study the relationship of the main mediators of atopy and clinical and morphological characteristics lesions of the stomach with its secretory-motor disorders in children with atopic dermatitis. We study 134 patients aged 7 to 14 years with atopic dermatitis and 30 healthy children as control group. All children passed general clinical and laboratory instrumental investigations. In addition, children with manifestations of atopic dermatitis and secretory-motor disorders of the stomach Fibroesophagogastroduodenoscopy, topographic intragastric pH-metry with aspiration biopsy of the gastric mucosa were performed, followed by morphological investigations. In sick children, an increase in the levels of total IgE, histamine and serotonin was detected in the blood, combined with a tendency to decrease acid-forming function, endoscopic and morphological changes in the gastric mucosa. It is assumed that concomitant atopic dermatitis secretory-motor disorders of the stomach are manifestations of gastrointestinal syndrome, which can be both secondary and primary in relation to skin manifestations and in both situations contribute the formation of endoallergens and maintain a vicious cycle of the pathological process.

Introduction. Despite the existence of generally accepted diagnostic protocols, when a new coronavirus infection is suspected, in some cases, it is increasingly difficult to detect changes in the lung tissue in a timely manner due to the heavy workload of the main method of radiation diagnostics – computed tomography. Purpose of the study. To determine the effectiveness of the appointment of an X-ray examination as first-line metgod, as well as to carry out a comparative analysis of the use of radiation diagnostics methods – computed tomography and radiography in relation to the diagnostic sensitivity to changes in lung tissue when a person is infected with the SARS-COV-2 virus.Materials and methods. 150 patients (63.0 ± 8.4 years) with confirmed coronavirus infection were examined. Each of the participants underwent X-ray examination and computed tomography of the chest organs. The percentage of subjects studied for each of the degrees of severity of lung damage was determined to identify the proportion of involvement of lung tissue in the pathological process in the bulk of the examined individuals.Results. Of the 150 patients, changes in the lung tissue during chest X-ray were detected in 97 (65%), respectively, in 53 (35%), pathological changes in the lungs were not visualized. When examining patients by computed tomography, changes in the lungs were detected in 143 patients (95%), X-ray morphological changes were not detected in 7 subjects (5%). When detecting the volume of lung damage, it turned out that the majority of the subjects – 86 people (57%) – had the degree of damage CT-2. The degree of CT-1 and CT-3 was determined in 26 (17%) and 25 (17%) patients, respectively. CT-4 was observed in 6 patients (4%), and in 5% of cases, CT was not able to detect pathological changes in the lung tissue, the degree of CT-0 was established.Conclusion. In the assessment of viral lung damage, radiography takes a significant place, but in 35% of cases, radiographic examination failed to identify the existing pathological changes. CT of the chest organs confirms its value as the “gold standard” in the study of pulmonary pathology in coronavirus infection, but if it is impossible to perform it, radiography is recommended.

The aim of our study was to determine, using histological and stereological methods, whether photoperiodism has any impact on the effects that chronic (three-month long) exposure to LF-EMF (50Hz) has on morphological characteristics on rat's pineal gland. The experiment was performed on 48 Mill Hill male rats (24 experimental and 24 control). Upon birth, 24 rats were exposed for 7h a day, 5 days a week for 3 months to LF-EMF (50 Hz, 50-500microT, 10V/m). In the winter (short days, long nights), the activity of the pineal gland and neuroendocrine sensitivity is increased. The study was performed both during summer and winter, following the identical protocol. After sacrifice of animals, samples of pineal gland were processed for HE staining and then were analyzed using the methods of stereology. The most significant changes in epiphysis in the first group of animals in wintertime are: altered glandular feature, hyperemia, reduced pinealocytes with pale pink, poor cytoplasm and irregular, stick-form nuclei. In the second group (II) pinealocytes are enlarged, with vacuolated cytoplasm and hyper chromatic, enlarged nucleus. Morphological changes of pineal gland at rats in the summertime were not as intense as in the winter and finding of the gland in the group II is compatible with those from the control group. Stereological results show both in winter and summer in the first group the decrease of volume density of pinealocytes, their cytoplasm and nuclei and in the second group in winter increase the volume density of pinealocytes, cytoplasm and nuclei, while in the second group the results in summertime are equal to those from the control group. Photoperiodism is modifier of effect of LF-EMF on morphological structure of pineal gland, because the gland recovery is incomplete in winter and reversible in summer.
