The subjects of this research were the fifth grade students of SD 8 Tianyar Barat, Kubu, and Karangasam. The objects of this research were multiple intelligence, achievement in science and students’ response. The research was conducted in two cycles and every cycle consisted of planning, action implementation, observation, and reflection. The data of students’ creative thinking were collected by performance test; the data of students’ achievement in learning science were collected through questionnaire. After the data were collected, then they were analyzed descriptively and quantitatively. The results of the study showed that (1) the implementation of multiple intelligence approach improved the students’ creative thinking and achievement in learning science. The improvement in the students’ creative thinking from cycle I to cycle II is 16.56%. (2) The improvement of the students’ achievement in learning science from cycle I to cycle II is 11.46%. (3) The students’ response to the implementation of multiple intelligence with mind mapping fell into category positive. The students felt happy in learning science through the implementation of multiple intelligences with mind mapping.

This study aims at investigating the effect of Blended Learning approach compared to the traditional learning approach on fifth grade students’ achievement in My Beautiful Language Textbook and the development of their verbal creative thinking. The study consisted of 49 students among which 25 are males in the Experimental Group and 24 females in the Control Group. The study found a statistical significant difference (α ≤ 0.05) between the mean scores of the two study groups in achievement posttest and verbal creative thinking post application test. The experiment group which was taught using the blended approach of learning outperformed the Control Group in both tests. Thus, learning My Beautiful Language Textbook using the blended approach is more effective than the traditional method in terms of achievement and the development of verbal creative thinking skills. In light of this, the study recommends the adoption of blended approach in learning My Beautiful Language Textbook, the curriculum computerization, holding series of training courses, and workshops for teachers in school districts on how to effectively implement the blended approach.

This study aims to determine the effect of scrapbook media on students' creative thinking skills. The type of research used is Quasi Experiment using the Nonequivalent Control Group Design research design with a sample of fifth grade students at SDN 59 Rasalewi, Bima City. The instruments used in this research are test instruments and observation sheets. Analysis of the data used in the form of percentage analysis for students' creative thinking skills, N-gain test and t-test. The results of data analysis show that from 21 students the total number of students is 76.19% or 16 students get the N-gain in the very high category and 23.81% or 5 students get the influence in the high category. The t-test results show that tcount = 2.259 > ttable = 1.725 (significant level = 0.05) so Ha is accepted and H0 is rejected. Thus, it can be concluded that there is a significant effect of using scrapbook media on students' creative thinking abilities.

ABSTRACTThis study aimed to describe the implementation of activities based learning to facilitate students' creative thinking skills and mastery of concepts. Samples were fifth grade students at SDN Babat Jerawat II Surabaya and fifth grade students at SDN Rangkah VII Surabaya. The topic used in this study is Human Organs and Animals. Research conducted the academic year 2016/2017. This type of research is quasi experiment. The research design was pretest-posttest control group design. The instrument used in this study include: 1) observation sheet implementation of learning; 2) student activity observation sheet; 3) creative skills test instruments; and 4) the test instrument mastery of concepts. Data analysis technique using inferential analysis to determine the differences in the test results of creative thinking skills and mastery of concepts between the experimental group and the control group using t-test analysis. Based on the results of t-test results obtained significance value of 0.000 < 0.05 for creative thinking skills tests. As for the concept mastery test results obtained significance value of 0.020 < 0.05. From the test results of t-tests, we can conclude that there are significant differences between creative thinking skills and mastery of concepts in the control group (instead of activities based learning) and experiment group (activities based learning). Keywords: Concept Mastery, Creative Thinking Skills, Students Activities Based Learning.
