Naïve Learning in a Binary Action, Social Network Environment In “Naïve Learning Through Probability Overmatching,” I. Arieli, Y. Babichenko, and M. Mueller-Frank consider an environment where privately informed agents select a binary action repeatedly observing the past actions of their neighbors in a social network. Rational inference has been shown to be exceedingly complex in this environment. Instead, this paper focuses on boundedly rational agents that form beliefs according to discretized DeGroot updating and apply a decision rule that assigns a (mixed) action to each belief. It is shown that naïve learning, where the long run actions of all agents are optimal given their pooled private information, can be achieved in any strongly connected network if beliefs satisfy a high level of inertia and the decision rule coincides with probability overmatching. The main difference to existing naïve learning results is that here it is shown to hold (1) for binary rather than uncountable action spaces and (2) even for network and information structures where Bayesian agents fail to learn.

<div><p><em>The article analyzes the peculiarities of the format of native advertising in the media space, its pragmatic potential (in particular, on the example of native content in the social network Facebook by the brand of the journalism department of ZNU), highlights the types and trends of native advertising. The following research methods were used to achieve the purpose of intelligence: descriptive (content content, including various examples), comparative (content presentation options) and typological (types, trends of native advertising, in particular, cross-media as an opportunity to submit content in different formats (video, audio, photos, text, infographics, etc.)), content analysis method using Internet services (using Popsters service). And the native code for analytics was the page of the journalism department of Zaporizhzhya National University on the social network Facebook. After all, the brand of the journalism department of Zaporozhye National University in 2019 celebrates its 15th anniversary. The brand vector is its value component and professional training with balanced distribution of theoretical and practical blocks (seven practices), student-centered (democratic interaction and high-level teacher-student dialogue) and integration into Ukrainian and world educational process (participation in grant programs).</em></p></div><p><em>And advertising on social networks is also a kind of native content, which does not appear in special blocks, and is organically inscribed on one page or another and unobtrusively offers, just remembering the product as if «to the word». Popsters service functionality, which evaluates an account (or linked accounts of one person) for 35 parameters, but the main three areas: reach or influence, or how many users evaluate, comment on the recording; true reach – the number of people affected; network score – an assessment of the audience’s response to the impact, or how far the network information diverges (how many share information on this page).</em></p><p><strong><em>Key words:</em></strong><em> nativeness, native advertising, branded content, special project, communication strategy.</em></p>

This chapter extends the survival-of-the-fittest evolutionary environment to consider the possibility that new political parties, when they first come into existence, do not pick decision rules at random but instead choose rules that have a track record of past success. This is done by adding replicator-mutator dynamics to the model, according to which the probability that each rule is selected by a new party is an evolving but noisy function of that rule's past performance. Estimating characteristic outputs when this type of positive feedback enters the dynamic model creates new methodological challenges. The simulation results show that it is very rare for one decision rule to drive out all others over the long run. While the diversity of decision rules used by party leaders is drastically reduced with such positive feedback in the party system, and while some particular decision rule is typically prominent over a certain period of time, party systems in which party leaders use different decision rules are sustained over substantial periods.

Today, Social Network Sites (SNSs) offer a wide variety of functions for initiating and maintaining personal relationships (i.e. sharing private information, messaging, commenting, liking or viewing others profiles). According to the uses and gratifications approach, individuals chose how they use media in order to satisfy given needs. Regarding personal relationships, attachment style is associated with distinct needs and behaviors. Thus, SNS use should differ with distinct attachment styles. This review aims to answer the question, how attachment style is related to SNS usage pattern and provide a comprehensive overview, by identifying and integrating associations with different facets of SNS use. Results were based on a systematic review of 17 studies. Measures of SNS use could be attributed to the facets of three categories: (1) Quantitative use (i.e. time spent on SNSs, number of friends/followers), (2) qualitative use (social use, parasocial use, self-presentation, monitoring) and (3) SNS motive (anxiety reduction, avoiding closeness). Especially insecure attached individuals strive to satisfy attachment needs through SNS use. While anxious individuals aim to reduce anxiety i.e. by seeking feedback via online social interaction, avoidant users can feel connected browsing others’ profiles without facing the threat of closeness. Insecure attachment was associated with negative outcomes related to SNS use, such as addictive behaviors. Limitations and implications of the findings are discussed.

This paper presents a qualitative study of mechanisms enabling social network formation in the R&D unit of a large technology-based organization. Drawing on interviews with 37 high-level technical and administrative unit members, a number of social network enablers could be discerned, which related to the need for effective location mechanisms, special “enrolment spaces”, and mechanisms for forging contacts. It was also possible to identify a number of higher-order factors for facilitation of network formation, namely hierarchical enablers and communicative and assimilative factors. Based on these results, the paper makes suggestions as to the theoretical and practical significance of social network enabling mechanisms in R&D organizations.

This paper investigates the factors governing the determination of budget deficit in Nigeria from 1981q1 through 2016q4. Our methodology is based on Johansen cointegration and Vector Error Correction model (VECM) approach. The result from the Johansen cointegration test suggests one cointegrating vector, which indicates the existence of a long run cointegrating relationship. Evidence from the long run and short run parameters suggest that exchange rate, interest rate and one year lag of budget deficit are the major determinants of budget deficit. Therefore, to achieve a realistic fiscal surplus, the government should determine a high level of accountability in its fiscal operations. In addition, any fiscal surplus should be channeled into productive investments to diversify the economy and reduce the likelihood of potential budget deficits.

Improving nursing students’ subjective happiness is germane for efficiency in the nursing profession. This study examined the subjective happiness of nursing students by applying social network analysis (SNA) and developing a strategy to improve the subjective happiness of nursing. The study adopted a cross sectional survey to measure subjective happiness and social network of 222 nursing students. The results revealed that the centralization index, which is a measure of intragroup interactions from the perspective of an entire network, was higher in the senior year compared with the junior year. Additionally, the indegree, outdegree, and centrality of the social network of students with a high level of subjective happiness were all found to be high. This result suggests that subjective happiness is not just an individual’s psychological perception, but can also be expressed more deeply depending on the subject’s social relationships. Based on the study’s results, to strengthen self-efficacy and resilience, it is necessary to utilize strategies that activate group dynamics, such as team activities, to improve subjective happiness. The findings can serve as basic data for future research focused on improving nursing students’ subjective happiness by consolidating team-learning social networks through a standardized program approach within a curriculum or extracurricular programs.

The study of games in education is not new, from traditional games to modern website-based games have been done. Studies have even proved that traditional games have more proven value and benefits in the long run for education than modern games. However, the fact that the quality of education in various countries of the world is uneven, although they also know and have traditional games as part of its cultural elements. Like one of them can be seen in the quality of basic education in Indonesia, especially in the ability of thinking high level is still low. Moreover, in the 21st century students are required to have global skills of the 21st century. From this point the need to be studied about how the traditional Javanese games, as one of the greatest cultural heritages in Indonesia, can serve as a strategy to cultivate 21st century global skills for madrasah ibtidaiyah / primary school. This research is done by literature study with the method of textual criticism and external critic and then continued with synthesis. The findings of this study indicate that some traditional Javanese games are basically potential as a strategy to cultivate 21st century skills. This is not apart because the characteristics and form of some traditional Javanese game contains characteristics of 21st century skills that include critical thinking, communication, cooperation, and creativity.

With the development of market relations, growing uncertainty and risk, the high level of competitiveness of the enterprise largely depends on the level of its innovation activity. In this article the author described the factors influencing the formation of the competitive potential of the subjects of innovative entrepreneurship, carried out their classification. In his opinion, the competitiveness of innovative entrepreneurs depends primarily on the economic situation achieved through economic strategy (policy). The economic policy of ensuring the competitiveness of the subjects of innovative entrepreneurship is formed both at the macroeconomic and microeconomic level. At each level of management requires a special organizational and economic approach that ensures the transformation of available resources into competitive advantages through the use of certain competencies. The author concludes that the achievement of competitive advantages in the market in the future and high competitiveness of the enterprise in the long run are possible due to efficient use of resource potential, high strategic opportunities to reproduce resource potential, strategic marketing orientation of the product offer. With the growth of the dynamics of competitiveness of the studied subject of innovative entrepreneurship, it is necessary to determine its position in the internal environment, ie to identify how the current ability to compete corresponds to the opportunities present in the external environment. With declining dynamics (as an option – the lack of dynamics), including those obtained in the current assessment of competitiveness, it is necessary to first identify the reasons for the decline in the competitiveness of the subject of innovative entrepreneurship. Given that the assessment of competitiveness integrates three key aspects, the reasons, respectively, can be social, economic or technological in nature (or be characterized by a combination of them). Competitiveness as an internal mechanism of effective activity of an economic entity transforms the market into a system of factors influencing the process of competition, thereby forming competitiveness in the field of a separate competitive field.
