The application of ESP for college students is very crucial since they are led to have skills that are apt with the needs of working environment. The learning using ESP method must be implemented using the well-designed assessment that will encourage fishery students to have high self-esteem to explore their experience in fishery world. To what extends that the assessment will be appropriate for the writing papers of fishery students? The research method used was classroom action research to elevate students’ ideas and observation research that was conducted in the field since the activities conducted needed a series of events. There were some findings: 1) An apt topic had to be chosen; 2) An experience learned that supported the data; 3) The result of the series of activities that was reported; and 4) The application of scoring rubric based on the previous activities that assessed the final writing papers. The fishery department students as the subject of the research was in their fourth semester since they had to learned prior knowledge needed in fishery field.

This study presents a research report on improving students’ Learning results on IPA through Video. The objective was to find out whether students’ learning result improved when they are taught by using Video. It was conducted using classroom action research method. The subject of the study was the Grade IV students of SDN 187/IV Kota Jambi which is located on Jln. Adi Sucipto RT 05 Kecamatan Jambi Selatan, and the number of the students were 21 persons. The instruments used were test. In analyzing the data, the mean of the students’ score for the on fisrt sycle was 65,4 (42,85%) and the mean on cycle two was 68,5 (37,15%) and the mean of the third cycle was 81,4 (100%). Then it can be concluded that the use of video on learning IPA can improve the students’ learning result. It is suggested that teachers should use video as one of the media to improve students’ learning result on IPA.Keywords : IPA, students’ learning result, video

This study aims to determine the improvement of student learning result and activities by using the cooperative learning model of Talking Chips type on the subject matter of Biodiversity in class X MIA1 MAN 1 Medan T.P. 2018/2019. The research method is classroom action research and the subject of this research are students of class X MIA1 as many as 35 people. The instrument that used in the study are test of student learning result namely pretest and postest as many as 30 questions and observation sheets of student activities. The results showed that based on the learning result of the first cycle, the average score of pretest was 40.6 increased to 68.6 in the postest. At the second cycle, there was an increase from 62.8 in the pretest to 74.5 in the postest. In this study, the data of individual and classical learning completeness criteria are obtained as follows: as many as 30 out of 35 students or 85.72% who scored above 70 or equal to 70, and 5 other students or 14.28% got a score below 70. Based on observations of student activities, the percentage of students who were active in the first cycle was 48.2% with total of students 17 out of 35 students, and students who were active in the second cycle was 80% with total of students 28 from 35 students

In general, the purpose of this study was to improve the discipline of early childhood through the method of token economy habituation in class II even semester 2016-2017 SD Cherry South Jakarta. The method of token economy refraction is a method of strengthening behavior by giving points (reward). In particular, the discipline referred to in this study is the presence of children on time at school. This research method is classroom action research which follows the models of Kemmis and Taggart. This study consisted of two cycles. Each cycle includes 4 stages, namely, 1) planning (planning), 2) acting (implementation), 3) observing (observation), 4) reflecting (reflection). The research time is 1 month, from April 2017 to May 2017 with the subject of research as many as 11 students, while the data is collected by observation, interviews, and documentation. The results showed that there was a significant increase in discipline in class II students. This can be evidenced by the increase in the results of quantitative calculations starting from the results of the average pre-action discipline, cycle 1 to cycle 2, namely the results of the pre-action average = 12, cycle 1 = 13.27, cycle 2 = 15 and the results of interviews concluded that the method of habituating token economy can motivate discipline in early childhood optimally. This study concludes that discipline with the method of habituating token economy can improve the discipline of early chilhood.

This research aims to find out the use of English Pop Song to enhance students’ listening ability in the first grade of SMAN 10 Mataram in 2020/2021. The research method of this research used Classroom Action Research. The data in this research was taken based on the listening test. The subject of this research was first-grade students IPS 1 of SMAN 10 Mataram, which consisted of 25 students. This research was conducted in one cycle. The instruments of this research were taken by test and observation sheet. The main score of students listening ability of pre-test was 45 with a percentage (12%) and the main score of post-test was 76 with a percentage (84%). The researchers concluded that the score of the students’ listening was higher than the Minimum Complete Criteria Success (KKM). So it meant that the use of English Pop Song was significant to enhance students’ listening ability.

Lecturers can use many strategies to improve speaking ability. Speaking abilities include making questions, providing explanations, and also being able to provide answers. This study aimed to determine how debate techniques can improve students' speaking ability to make questions, give explanations, and give responses. The current study applied the classroom action research method and consisted of 3 cycles. Two batches of English Education College Students of 2019/2020 at Universitas Potensi Utama, totaling 60 students, were involved as the study subjects. An observation checklist and field notes were used to collect the data. The researchers observed students' activity in the classroom by using an observation checklist and fieldnotes. The researchers summarized the problem during the debating process. Based on the research findings, the debate technique applied by the research subjects reflects the improvement in the students' speaking ability. Based on the observations' results, it can be seen that the students' speaking ability in making questions and providing explanations and answers improved. The students' activities in the class when arguing in the first cycle were 42.83%, 59.17% in the second cycle, and 85.17% in the final one. It shows that the debate technique has improved the students' speaking ability to make questions and provide explanations.

The purpose of this study was to determine student learning outcomes using the Snowball Throwing method on the subject of the Muhammadiyah Academy in Madarasah Aliyah Muhammadiyah 1 Medan. This research is expected to be useful for teachers, schools and future researchers. For teachers, the results of this study are expected to be useful for teachers to improve teaching skills, especially in terms of innovative learning models. The methodology in this research is field research that is obtained through classroom action research (CAR) or called classroom action research. This research method uses two cycles. In the first cycle consists of the planning phase (planning), the stage of action / implementation (action), the stage of observation (observation), and the stage of reflection. Then in the second cycle carried out after learning in the first cycle was analyzed and reflected in order to correct the deficiencies that existed in cycle I. The results showed that the Class X learning outcomes using the Snowball Throwing model were higher than those who did not use them.

This research aimed at observing and describing the process and the results of the action implemented in improving the classroom interaction and the students’ self-esteem of STAIN GPA. This research was a classroom action research. The subject of the study is the semester 6 students of English department in the academic year of 2014/2015. The purposive sampling was used in this study. This research consists of three steps, namely: input, transformation, and output. The finding of the research is that the implementation of group work is able to improve the classroom interaction, as they: interaction between student and student, student and teacher, student and learning sources, and student and the environment. In relation to the students’ self-esteem, the implementation of group work was able to improve: feeling of competence, feeling to be respected, feeling to be loved, feeling to have a chance for success, and feeling of confidence.

The purpose of this study is to contribute to the ability to read Al-Qur'an for MI children on the subject of the Al-Qur'an Hadith because reading the Al-Qur'an becomes the flagship program at MI Muhammadiyah Ketapang. This research method uses descriptive qualitative research on classroom action research (CAR). The results of this study are the Scramble Learning model in the Al-Qur'an-Hadith which has an influence in improving the competence in reading short surah choices after applying the Scramble model proven research results show that the level of competence in reciting and reading Al-Quran verses in subjects Al-Qur'an Hadith cycle I reached 91.3% enough category and cycle II there was an increase in achieving Al-Quran reading with Al-Qur'an Hadith students obtained 91.5% very good category.

ABSTRACTThis article points out the results of the study attempting to solve the speaking problem faced by students in one of the Higher School of Teacher Training and Education (STKIP) in Central Lampung. For the purpose of the topic, 30 fellow students were selected as the subject. Research method was Classroom Action Research with Kemmis and Taggart model. It was conducted for about four cycles. According to the results of speaking test, findings showed that using Communicative Language Teaching (CLT) had positive meaningful effect on improving students’ speaking skill. To sum up, CLT is an effective method to teach speaking to the subject.

The learning of Social Research Method subject has always had difficulties since the low of student’s creativity in seeking and finding the problem. The students prefer to cooperate in finding the problem of the subject. It is one of the reasons for the Lecturer to do a Classroom Action Research (CAR). CAR is conducted by using a Discovery Learning method. This method is a learning model developed based on the constructivism. It emphasizes the necessity of the important structures or ideas to a discipline by having an active student involvement in the learning process. On this subject, a student is required to seek and find out the problems. CAR is a reflected research of the actions taken by the Lecturers to improve the learning process as one of their responsibilities
