Neste artigo, visa-se apresentar e analisar a experiência de cinco anos do Programa Globalizando, programa de rádio universitária produzido pelos alunos e professores do curso de Relações Internacionais da Universidade da Amazônia/PA. Este programa discute temas de Relações Internacionais e é transmitido via Rádio UNAMA FM 105.5 de Belém do Pará, bem como pela internet. Esta experiência universitária é analisada a partir do pensamento de Boaventura de Sousa Santos, em sua perspectiva sobre a Universidade à luz da teoria crítica e da epistemologia do Sul. Para tal, metodologicamente, realizou-se uma revisão bibliográfica sobre a importância da extensão universitária e a utilização de meios de comunicação. Para viabilizá-la, apresenta-se organização e experiência do Programa Globalizando e, analisa-se estas questões a partir do referencial teórico proposto. Palavras-chave: Programa Globalizando; Relações Internacionais; Extensão Universitária.ABSTRACTIn this article, the objective is to present and analyze the five years’ experience of Programa Globalizando, a university radio program produced by the students and professors from the course of the University of Amazonia / PA. This program discusses topics of International Relations and is transmitted via Radio UNAMA FM 105.5 of Belém do Pará, as well as through the internet. This study is analyzed from the theorical thinking of Boaventura de Sousa Santos, in his perspective on the University in the light of the critical theory and the epistemology of the South. To this end, a bibliographical review was carried out on the importance of university extension and the use of the media. Este artigo abordará a relação entre a mídia e a política externa brasileira em momentos de crise regional. Para tanto, as narrativas de liderança brasileira, construídas pela Mídia nacional– no caso, jornal o Globo – sobre a região da América do Sul serão retratadas em quatro momentos de crise diferentes, mas com dois países apenas: Bolívia e Venezuela. As crises são: (i) na tentativa de golpe de Estado na Venezuela, em 2002; (ii) durante a nacionalização dos hidrocarbonetos bolivianos, em 2006; (iii) a vinda do senador boliviano Roger Pinto, em 2013; e (iv) a suspensão da Venezuela no Mercosul, em 2016. O marco teórico deste artigo se pauta na Teoria Crítica e apresenta propostas para se analisar o papel da mídia na sociedade e sua relação com a política externa brasileira em momentos específicos.Palavras-chave: Mídia; Política Externa Brasileira; Teoria Crítica.ABSTRACTThis article will address the relation between the media and the Brazilian Foreign Politic in times of regional crisis. By doing so, the narratives of the Brazilian leadership, built by the national media – in this case, the newspaper O Globo – about the South American region will be portrayed in four different scenarios of crisis, but with only two countries: Bolivia and Venezuela. Those crises are: (i) the attempted coup in Venezuela in 2002; (ii) during the nationalization of the Bolivian hydrocarbons, in 2006; (iii) with the Bolivian senator Roger Pinto, in 2013; and (iv) the suspension of Venezuela in Mercosur, in 2016. The theoretical framework of this article is based on the Critical Theory and it presents pathways to analyze the role of the media in society and its relations with the Brazilian Foreign Policy.Keywords: Media; Brazilian Foreign Policy; Critical Theory.

IN SAMOA during July 2015, a new Pacific journalism education and training advocacy era was born with the establishment of the Media Educators Pacific (MEP) after a talkfest had gone on for years about the need for such a body. A draft constitution had even been floated at a journalism education conference hosted at the University of the South Pacific in 2012. The initiative created unity of sorts between the Technical, Vocational and Educational Training (TVET) media institutes from Fiji, Samoa, Solomon Islands and Vanuatu, and the regional University of the South Pacific journalism programme. Founding president Misa Vicky Lepou of the National University of Samoa pledged at the time to produce a vision with a difference:

This edition of Pacific Journalism Review is themed on the Media and Democracy in the South Pacific symposium held in Suva in September 2012. Hosted by the University of the South Pacific, the conference has provided most of the core papers for this issue, marking close to two decades of an independent research role in the region by this journal. The 2012 symposium followed two previous conferences held at AUT University in Auckland and USP in Suva in December 2010, covering topics ranging from investigative journalism and technology, peace journalism, democracy, social cohesion and various related themes.

This paper is about the practical application of Metamorphoses creative-developmental fairy tale therapy, which is presented based on a three-session Metamorphoses creative-developmental fairy tale therapy session. The sessions were conducted between April and May 2021, among students (n=24) of the University of Debrecen, who were previously not familiar with fairy tale therapy, nor with the works of Ildikó Boldizsár. Through the media environment of the session, we also reflected together on the effects of internet consumption and the dangers of the internet. The study highlights the students' attitudes towards this method and their participation and activity in the online space. The experiences gained during the 3 sessions and the feedback of the students appear as a guideline to conclude the study. The practical application of the Metamorphoses creative-developmental fairy tale therapy will show whether this methodology has a role to play in higher education.

AbstractThe rise of online modes of content delivery, termed e-learning, has increased student convenience and provided geographically remote students with more options for tertiary education. However, its efficacy relies upon student access to suitable technology and the internet, and the quality of the online course material. With the COVID-19 outbreak, education providers worldwide were forced to turn to e-learning to retain their student base and allow them to continue learning through the pandemic. However, in geographically remote, developing nations, many students may not have access to suitable technology or internet connections. Hence it is important to understand the potential of e-learning to maintain equitable access to education in such situations. This study found the majority (88%) of commencing students at the University of the South Pacific owned at least one ICT device and had access to the internet. Similarly, most students had adequate to strong ICT skills and a positive attitude toward e-learning. These attitudes among the student cohort, in conjunction with the previous experience of The University of the South Pacific in distance education, are likely to have contributed to its relatively successful transition from face-to-face to online learning as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic.

The development of visual communication media at this time is very helpful in supporting information and communication. But often presented visual communication  media  are  less  effective  and appropriate. While so many universities in Indonesia, the increasingly fierce competition in attracting new students. Media Visual Communication can be applied to college in introducing or raising the image and popularity or promote and provide information to prospective students. In essence, in this case the effectiveness of media campaigns assessed in spreading information, influence or persuade prospective students and new student to join the university. The method used by the questionnaires to assess the effectiveness of implemented that have been implemented such as  brochures,  banners, posters, billboards, catalogs, paper bag,  flyers  and  merchandise.  In  conclusion,  this  article specifically assess visual communication media from case studies in Perguruan Tinggi Raharja considered effective and consistent contribution.. This study found a great opportunity to improve the promotion of additional digital marketing media campaign called the college through the  stages resulting in some visual communication media that can be received by the target audience. To create a media campaign needs planning in accordance with the background of the problem so that the media are made to overcome the problems encountered

The purpose of this research is to explain the importance of the student organizations and describe their efforts to improve the speaking skills of students at the Mahad Khalid Bin Al Waleed at the University of Muhammadiyah Mataram. This research uses the qualitative approach with the descriptive type. The result shows the student organizations play an important role based on their objectives and functions. The objectives are to help the foundation and all parties in the Ma'had develop the students’ potential and qualification, and to be the place for the students to share their problems and complaints, while the functions are as one of the media to develop students’ quality, both the members of the non-member, and as the good examples and pioneers of any good deeds. The efforts done by student organizations in improving speaking skills are such as by making activities that lead to improving students' speaking skills like sticking vocabularies in each class and Friday activities such as language game, Arabic debate and short lecture.

Over the past decade, bilateral relations between China and Russia have attracted the attention of the whole world. As neighbors and rapidly developing countries, China and Russia are becoming increasingly important in the international arena. The strategic partnership and interaction between China and Russia occupy a significant place in the politics of both countries. Cooperation is developing dynamically in various fields, primarily in politics. After 2012, a change of government took place in China and Russia, which brought new changes to international relations. Studying the involvement of the media in this process can clarify their impact on international relations, in particular, their role in the relationship between China and Russia.

This article is devoted to the study of the multimedia environment of the polemic discourse in German media with its diverse formats of impact on the audience and the actively developing internal dynamics of texts. If at the end of the XXth century the specifics of German media were the use of the Internet site as one of the possibilities to present copies of newspapers and magazines in electronic form, today we can speak of modified, hybrid Internet versions of printed publications that do not just create websites on the Internet that duplicate their main activity, but also combines the features of the traditional press and features of the functioning of texts on the Internet. The transition from linear, monomedia broadcasting platforms to discrete, multimedia ones has a significant impact on the process of creating, designing and placing modern polemics. Texts of articles and user comments are considered in the article as tmaterialization of the polemic discourse in the media. Polemic texts are formed on the basis of intertextual structures and have a hypertext nature. The use of multimedia tools (a variety of fonts, graphics, animation, photo, video and sound) in the text of the article allows the author not only to expand the amount of information provided, but also to qualitatively supplement its content through inline inclusions tn the text, to express the meaning of information by referring to verbal and non-verbal means; to provide a visual and figurative presentation of information (graphs, charts, tables), to attract attention and influence the audience, as well as to provide readers with the opportunity to participate in information exchange.
