Poor public control over the circulation of precious stones is proven. The challenges are substantiated to be aggravating under the impact of globalization. The diamonds market, which has peculiar high demand, is analyzed: diamonds and derivatives account for 85% of global turnover. Application of managerial strategies for gemstones market to efficiently use resources is defined to be complicated by the fact that managerial strategies impact the high cost of product items and its variability; unique features; intangible qualities; complicated processing. More environmentally friendly production and social responsibility are confirmed to have impact on forming of demand on gemstones. Investment attractiveness of gemstones, except for diamonds, is proven to be low. Condition of production and consumption of diamonds is analyzed. Development condition of the market segment – non-diamonds gemstones – is shown. The activity of small enterprises and households engaged in gemstones production is confirmed to be characterized by chaotic and complicated nature of broker networks, leading to aggravated global challenges. The paper defines that expansion of spectrum and emergence of new opportunities for illegal activity, reduced income and loss of other types of economic benefits, growing negative ecological and social impact, growing exploitation of workers at illegal enterprises remain to be the global challenges of gemstones market functioning. The author suggests increasing of social and ecological responsibility of business, strengthening of the state regulating functions and promotion of gemstones market legalization in order to reduce the challenges.

The purpose of the study is to influence land resources during mining operations, and the main stages of land reclamation during mining on the example of the Tyradinsky gold Deposit, the "Zolotaya Tyrada" quarry, located in the Yenisei region of the Krasnoyarsk territory. The main factors of impact on land resources in the process of mining the field are considered; the analysis of measures to reduce the negative impact on land resources in the process of mining the field is carried out. The actual height and area of overburden dump not to exceed project, the reconfiguration of dumps allowed us to reduce the impact of mining on the environment, to avoid placing parts of the dumps in the water protection zone of the river Terada, thus there is no need of land allocation to forests of the first group and reduced the amount of removed topsoil. During the reclamation, potentially fertile soils (loam) taken from the quarry were used. There will be no deterioration in the impact on land resources during the liquidation process, due to the short duration of the work and within the existing land allotment.

Like most new technologies, virtual reality (VR) has been the subject of a great deal of idealization. This paper both debunks that idealization by discussing some problems that certain types of VR could cause and emphasizes how other types of VR could bring the technology closer to its ideal. Virtual reality is divided into four types: social (there are real other people to interact with), nonsocial (other interactants are simulations of people), creative (users can create elements in the virtual environment), and noncreative (users interact with a fixed environment created for them). Nonsocial VR may cause problems by making it difficult for children and adolescents to learn social skills. Noncreative VR is problematic because it places limits on users' creativity and freedom. Engineers developing VR technology are encouraged to develop social and creative VR.

This effort focuses exclusively on the realization of the phenomenon of language contact and the impact it has on the language behavior of users. Each two languages, or more, by one way or another may get into a contact situation when they are alternately used by the same person. Among the situations where both languages would be exposed to contact that of the translation class covered by this study. The present effort highlights the example of French and Arabic languages used alternatively by university level translator-learners, specifically by third year students. After having shown the aspects of bilingualism related to the subject, and following a corpus elaborated to trace the source of the problem, being the realization of the contact of languages in the class concerned, we notice that the phenomenon is actually realized and that negative impacts are seen in the production of the translator-students as to the translating activity. In this respect, all the gaps in the pedagogical situation are identified and effective solutions are therefore proposed in order to cope with the linguistic problems which hinder any progress made by the translator-students. It is a matter of establishing measures to avoid, or at least reduce, the negative impact resulting from the meeting of two different linguistic systems, which affects the performance of translators in the process of learning.

Introduction: Evaluation of patients' psychosocial burden related to their cancer and its treatment is important for shared decision making by patients and their healthcare team. We aimed to better understand the impact of age on this burden as reported by patients with chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL), diffuse large B-cell lymphoma (DLBCL), and follicular lymphoma (FL) using data from a large US patient advocacy survey. Methods: We developed a survey to understand patients' perceptions of disease burden and impact on physical and emotional health. The survey was designed through consultation with medical experts, patient advocacy organizations and research team members. Concept elicitation and cognitive pretesting were conducted with patients to inform the survey content. The survey was administered electronically to patients with CLL, DLBCL, or FL who had received either initial or subsequent treatment within the past year. The survey consisted of categorical Likert options that quantified the impact of disease on physical function, sleep, cognition, work, emotional health and quality of life (QoL). The survey data were analyzed descriptively by patients' reported age: 60 years or older versus less than 60 years. Results: The survey was completed by 424 patients who were associated with The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society and/or the Lymphoma Research Foundation (309 patients with CLL, 59 patients with DLBCL and 69 patients with FL). Respondents had a mean age of 66 years (range: 22-95 with five patients electing not to report their age), 79% were 60 years or older, and 51% were female. A greater proportion of younger patients (<60 years) reported negative impact of the disease on various aspects of their lives as compared with older patients. Negative impact on emotional health, on personal relationships and on overall health-related QoL, as well as worry about disease returning or getting worse are highlighted in the following Table. Physical impacts of diseases were also reported in a greater proportion of younger patients versus older patients, specifically in reports of nausea, pain, appetite, sleep patterns, concentration and multi-tasking. Additionally, 95% of patients overall, regardless of age, agreed that delaying disease progression was important to them. Conclusions: Evaluation of disease burden is important as patients and healthcare providers are empowered to take more active roles in shared decision making for treatments that are aligned with patients' concerns and priorities. While patients with CLL, DLBCL, and FL report substantial disease burden, the negative impact of disease was reported in a greater proportion of younger patients (<60 years) than in older patients (≥60 years). Differences in patient-reported disease burden based on age and other patient circumstances should be explored as potential key concerns of patients for education of the clinical community.
