This article explains about sciences, technology its relation to moral values. The existence of sciences and technology seems to be more beneficial for human beings in implementing their activities in their daily life. It is suffice to say that sciences and technology can reduce human involvement in doing something. It can help mankind from working hard. On the one other hand, some people say that sciences and technology will be dangerous for human beings, for examples, nuclear weapons, chemical weapons, tanks, scud, and other sophisticated guns or weapons which are produced by mankind exclusively for massacring and killing enemies----human beings. Therefore, sciences and technology must be controlled by those who have moral values and religious teachings. Those who are behind the sophisticated technology should be inculcated moral values into their heart and mind. Actually, Islam is not against development and modern technology but it supports and facilitates them as long as it is beneficial for human beings. We do not have to put a blame on sciences and technology for the Muslims scholars and Muslims scientists themselves had given sAl-Ghazali, Ibnu Sina, Ibnu Rusyd, Ibnu Khaldun, Al-Tabari, Al-Kindi, Al-Jabeer, Al-Khawarizmi, Ibnu Badjah, Baiquni, Al-Farabi, Al-Razi, Omar Khayam, dan Al-Mas’udi toward modern sciences and particularly to the West (Andalusia). They had been contributing sciences and knowledge to the people both in the East and in the West which were introduced by the kingdom of Bani Abbasiyah and Bani Umayyah. Historically, Islam had been contributing sciences and technology to the Europe for more than five centuries. Unfortunately, when non-Muslims conquered Muslims countries they gave two choices for Muslims---becoming Christians or killed! Most of them were killed and some of them escaped to North Africa and Middle East. All muslims schools and libraries were burned by the conquerors. This was the worst circumstances faced by Muslims in Andalus (Spain), Bosnia Herzegovina, Kossovo, Myanmar and Iraq.

In order to analyze the relationship, a set of questionnaires pertaining on the satisfaction level of the society towards the housing market is distributed to 400 respondents equally divided among the three districts in Melaka. This chapter traces the ideological formation surrounding a central moment in the history of American lynching, the San Francisco Vigilance Committee of 1856. The San Francisco vigilantes helped to craft highly influential arguments about the relationship between the people and the law that would be adopted by subsequent generations of lynchers in the West, Midwest, and South. The chapter follows the historical context in which the San Francisco vigilantes and their opponents articulated their respective understandings of constitutionalism. It argues that the numbers supporting the San Francisco vigilantes were a transient political majority, acting in defiance of constitutional principle, and thus it cannot be said that their lynchings were socially positive or antidemocratic.

The paper throws light on newly discovered Sabaean cult inscriptions, also known as 'gift inscriptions'. Offered to the gods in their temples, gift inscriptions supply us many details about the relationship between the people and their gods. They are written on either the offering itself or the offering table. Very often were the offerings in the form of a written inscription, as is the case with the subject of my paper: a bronze slab bearing inscriptions. These inscriptions are offered to the Sabaean Moon God Ilumquh, to grant the donor peace, health, protection and satisfaction and to keep them away from hateful and jealous ones. The importance of these inscriptions lies in the first-time mention of the tribe of Aser; Aser is now the name of a mountain located in the west of the Yemeni Cap ital, Sana' a. These inscriptions indicate that Aser was the place where the tribe settled or at least is somehow related to it. The inscriptions also mention for the first time the name ofllumquh's temple. However, if this temple is not located in Aser, it would be in some place nearby Sana' a, possibly Arhab. To our knowledge, the temple belonged to the god Taleb. Does this imply that the temple was dedicated to both gods? Maybe, evidence from the Sabaean civilization confirm the existence of temples dedicated to multiple gods. Democracy is a word that is very popular among the people, almost all levels of society know and understand the meaning of democracy well. Democracy is part of a political system and government which, according to Abraham Lincoln, is defined as government by the people, to the people and for the people. Democracy is one concept that comes from the West. Democracy was only included in the treasury of Islamic thought in the mid-19th century because it was considered to have good values for life and not conflict with Islamic values. Therefore, they tried to find the equivalent of the word democracy in Islamic teachings, then the term shura was found. In the discourse and studies on the relationship between Islam and democracy, there are three opinions expressed by Islamic thinkers and figures about the relationship between Islam and democracy. First, there is no separation between Islam and democracy. Democracy is inherent or an integral part of Islam. Second, between Islam and democracy have conflicting relations. Third, in the relationship between Islam and democracy the third group does not accept it fully and does not reject it completely. This polemic of thought is then analyzed and studied further in accordance with the cultural context of Indonesian society.
