Abstract This article discusses the existence and curriculum development of MAPK MAN 1 Surakarta. This research is qualitative research. Research data through observation, in-depth interviews and documentation. The result of this research shows, first, MAPK MAN 1 Surakarta still exist until now (1) support from various parties such as madrasah leaders, MAPK managers and dormitories as well as alumni support, (2) the developed curriculum has successfully delivered quality Islamic Education, (3) the name of MAPK is still used as marketing, (4) the desire to exist, (5) the opening of international class, (6) still needed the graduates who master of Islamic Studies, (7) successful student achievement, (8) the spirit of student have ability to speak Arabic and English. Second, the curriculum development of MAPK MAN 1 Surakarta includes: diagnostic needs, educational objectives, curriculum 2013, tutorial and boarding school activities, learning experiences, and evaluation.

Nurhakim *)Fakultas Agama Islam UMMABSTRACTThe study described Imam Zarkasyi’s reconstruction thought about Islamic boarding schoolreformation. The study aimed at exploring Zarkasyi’s thought to be implemented as Islamiceducation reformation model for Islamic society modernization. The limitations of the study wereZarkasyi’s curriculum, empowerment on organizational management, and ethics training in Islamicboarding school. The finding revealed in three main points. First, Zarkasyi’s believed that IslamicEducation curriculum were to cover both religious principles, and modern sciences as well. Thus,the students were expected to master both Arabic and English. Second, organizational and charity(wakaf) management required significant improvement to strengthen Islamic boarding schoolinstitution in accordance to modern principles. Third, Islamic education boarding schools were toemphasize on values of sincerity, simplicity, independence, solidarity, and freedom to raise theawareness of the ethics in Islamic education schools. The objective of this research was to understand comprehensively the Financial Independent in Organization of Education through Entrepreneurship and partnership. it was a qualitative research with study case method conducted in Al Ashriyyah Nurul Iman Islamic Boarding School, Parung-Bogor. In this research data collecting with triangulation technique, Overall the researchers use participant observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation for the same data sources simultaneously. As a private educational institution, Al Ashriyyah Nurul Iman Foundation since its inception independently manage and develop the foundation to establish a wide range of entrepreneurial and cooperation with various institutions and circles. Financial independence has always strived through two things very well. Develop without relying on finance from other parties is a priority for YANIIBS, so that entrepreneurship and partnerships with these institutions become more developed and advanced

<p class="Body">This article presents a discussion of Curriculum Development Effort of S.2 Management of Islamic Education (MPI) UIN Walisongo Semarang especially related to input fom users or ekesternal stakeholders, which include graduate and alumni users. Data collection methods used were open questionnaires, in-depth interviews and documentation. The findings of the research mentioned that the effort of curriculum development of Study Program S.2 Management of Islamic Education UIN Walisongo Semarang has two strategies. <em>First:</em> a bottom up strategy that reactive to market needs with indicators that graduate users have been satisfied and responsive to the needs of the graduates themselves. While the second stretegi is top down, following the National Standards of Higher Education Curriculum based on National Qualifiers Framework Indonesia (KKNI). Therefore, it can be said that in the effort of curriculum development, a joint effort is made between stakeholders' inputs and government standards.</p><p class="Body"><strong>Abstrak</strong></p><p class="Body">Artikel ini menyajikan pembahasan mengenai Upaya Pengembangan Kurikulum Prodi S.2 Manajemen Pendidikan Islam (MPI) UIN Walisongo Semarang khususnya yang berhubungan dengan masukan <em>users</em> atau <em>stakehoders</em> ektsternal yang meliputi pengguna lulusan dan alumni. Metode pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah kuesioner terbuka, wawancara mendalam dan dokumentasi. Temuan penelitian menyebutkan bahwa Upaya pengembangan kurikulum Program Studi S.2 Manajemen Pendidikan Islam Pascasarjana UIN Walisongo Semarang telah menempuh dua strategi. Yaitu <em>bottom up</em> yang responsive terhadap kebutuhan pasar dengan indikator bahwa pengguna lulusan telah merasa puas dan responsive dengan kebutuhan lulusan itu sendiri. Sedangkan stretegi kedua dengan <em>top down </em> berdasarkan standart Nasional Kurikulum Pendidikan Tinggi barbasis <em>Kerangka Kualifikasi Nasional Indonesia</em><em> (</em><em>KKNI</em><em>). </em>Sehingga dapat dikatakan bahwa dalam upaya pengembangan kurikulum, ditempuh upaya gabungan antara masukan <em>stakeholders</em> dan standar pemerintah.</p><p><strong><br /></strong></p>

The idea put forward by Fazlur Rahman on Modernization of Islamic Education, namely: 1. Educational Objectives, Fazlur Rahman argues that the purpose of Islamic education must be oriented to the life of the world and the hereafter as well as sourced from the Qur'an. The psychological burden of Muslims in facing the West must be immediately eliminated to eliminate the psychological burden. Fazlur Rahman suggested that a comprehensive and historically comprehensive Islamic study be conducted on the development of Islamic disciplines such as theology, law, ethics, Hadith, social sciences, and philosophy, by holding on to the Qur'an as an appraiser. 2. The Education System, according to Fazlur Rahman, is to eliminate the dichotomy by integrating general science and religion 3. Students, Fazlur Rahman suggests that students must be given Qur'anic lessons, and students are given material in the disciplines of Islamic sciences 4. Educator, Fazlur Rahman offers several ideas, namely, recruiting students who have the best talent for Islam, educators must be trained at the center of Islamic studies abroad, and encourage educators to produce Islamic works creatively. 5. Educational facilities, Fazlur Rahman suggested that each library in an educational institution be equipped with Arabic and English-language books. According to Fazlur Rahman, in essence all the problems of "modernizing" Islamic education, namely making it capable of creative Islamic intellectual productivity in all fields.

Islamic school as an institution that represents Islamic education in Indonesia has plurality values ​​that should be appreciated. Perspectives on islamic school which are synonymous with conservative ideology and tend to be considered rigid in the face of educational dynamics and the view that pesantren are an ancient institution and only think about the afterlife problems seem to be incorrectly addressed to this islamic school, islamic school As-Sunniyyah Islamic boarding school which is the object of research in this paper is portrait of a islamic school that has successfully organized independent education, including in developing curriculum and learning patterns. The integration between religious and general sciences is the key, in addition to extra activities that encourage students to have multiple talents. The purpose of this study include: 1) obtain information on what causes the development of curriculum in As Sunniyyah Islamic boarding school. 2) reveal the pattern of curriculum development in the As Sunniyyah islamic school.

This article is the result of research that aims to explain the representation of Islamic educational values ​​in the Katoba tradition of the Munanese community. The object of observation is Katoba ritual. In-depth interviews were conducted with informants from the Katoba tradition practitioner which called imamu, academics, researchers, traditional and cultural leaders, educational practitioners, community leaders, and youth leaders. Provision of research data sourced from the results of recording, field notes and documents. This study found that the representation of the values ​​of Islamic education in the katoba tradition of Munanese community consists of the value of aqidah education, the value of religious education, and the value of moral education.   Abstrak: Artikel ini merupakan hasil penelitian yang bertujuan untuk menjelaskan representasi nilai-nilai pendidikan Islam dalam tradisi Katoba pada masyarakat etnis Muna. Objek pengamatan adalah pelaksanaan ritual Katoba. Wawancara mendalam dilakukan dengan informan pengamal tradisi katoba yang disebut imamu, akademisi, peneliti, tokoh adat dan budaya, praktisi pendidikan, tokoh masyarakat, dan tokoh pemuda. Penyediaan data penelitian bersumber dari hasil pencatatan, catatan lapangan dan dokumen. Penelitian ini menemukan bahwa representasi nilai-nilai pendidikan Islam dalam tradisi katoba masyarakat etnis Muna terdiri dari nilai pendidikan aqidah / tauhid; nilai pendidikan agama; dan nilai pendidikan pendidikan moral.

Learning Nahwu & Sharaf is considered a frightening subject by students in Islamic boarding schools and informal Islamic boarding schools. One of the reasons is that the institution's existing curriculum has not been planned and presented correctly. One of the institutions with an integrative curriculum to teach Nahwu & Sharaf subjects considered acceptable is the Darul Uluum Islamic Boarding School.This study aimed to describe Nahwu & Sharaf curriculum development concepts and models at Daarul Uluum Islamic boarding school at Majalengka supporting and inhibiting implementing the curriculum. The method used in this study was qualitative research. Data collection used interviews, the teacher's approach to teaching Nahwu & Sharaf, and the Islamic boarding school syllabus.The results showed that Nahwu & Sharaf curriculum development model was a central de-central, which combined two administrative approaches and the grassroots approach. The supporting factors were: 1) Motivation of leaders of Islamic boarding school; 2) Commitments of leaders of Islamic boarding schoolto develop curriculum, 3) Professional competence of Nahwu & Sharaf teachers, and 4) Input of students who have an initial understanding of the material to be obtainable. The inhibiting factors were: 1) the lack of individual funding allocations; 2) the teacher has not been able to properly teach students the material in Nahwu & Sharaf syllabus; 3) the unequal ability of teachers to teach in class Nahwu & Sharaf subjects; and 4) students feel bored while studying in class.

Islamic boarding schools are traditional Islamic educational institutions in Indonesia that have grown and developed several centuries ago. Islamic boarding schools, in fact, are potential institutions to move towards a people-based economy, as well as the strength they have. If the Ponpes are only spectators in the coming era, other micro-economic institutions may move towards progress. Therefore, a careful analysis is needed to strengthen this economic institution, so that it does not go wrong. This study aims to develop the independence of santri through the santriprenenur program. The study was conducted at the Miftahul Mubtadiin Krempyang Nganjuk Islamic Boarding School. In-depth interviews and non-participating observations were used in data collection. in an effort to ensure the validity of the research data. The results of the study indicate that the santripreneurship program can develop well, so that it can become one of the vital economic supports of Islamic boarding schools, which have an impact on society.

Abstract:This study discussed about the use of active learning methods in Fiqh learning in Islamic Boarding School. This research used qualitative approach by collecting data through library research. The primary data was articles about active learning methods. Data collection procedures were carried out by collecting various books, articles, theses, and dissertations that discussed about Fiqh subject and Islamic education in Islamic boarding school (pesantren). Research data were analyzed through deductive and inductive process. The result indicated that Active Learning method could be used to teach Fiqh subject in the Islamic Boarding School. The material taught should be appropriated with the Active Learning Method used. By using active learning method, it was expected that the students of Islamic boarding school were engaged, motivated, and interested to learn Fiqh subject.Abstrak:Penelitian ini membahas tentang penggunaan metode pembelajaran aktif dalam pembelajaran Fiqh di Pondok Pesantren. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan mengumpulkan data melalui penelitian kepustakaan. Data primer adalah artikel tentang metode pembelajaran aktif. Prosedur pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan mengumpulkan berbagai buku, artikel, tesis, dan disertasi yang membahas tentang mata pelajaran Fiqh dan pendidikan Islam di pondok pesantren. Data penelitian dianalisis melalui proses deduktif dan induktif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa metode Pembelajaran Aktif dapat digunakan untuk mengajar mata pelajaran Fiqh di Pondok Pesantren. Materi yang diajarkan harus disesuaikan dengan Metode Pembelajaran Aktif yang digunakan. Dengan menggunakan metode pembelajaran aktif, diharapkan para siswa pondok pesantren terlibat, termotivasi, dan tertarik untuk belajar mata pelajaran Fiqh.
