The basic goal of the Ow(l)etter party project is strenghtening of the positive attitude of the pupils toward the enjoyment reading. It was concieved as the annual cycle which begins with the Night reading session in the school library on the last week in Octoberof the school year. The session includes various activities, but the obligatory activity is the ceremonial enjoyment reading, and the recommended socializing with other school libraries through the Skype, and sleeping in the sleeping bags, since not all librarieshave the adequate conditions. In the next 11 months, the pupils conduct the Reading in the local community (in institutions, associations, companies and in public spaces). The actions are documented, and in the last month of the project, the decision is made about the most successful school library. The project presently includes 22 school libraries.

Our students are tremendously connected with others through the internet. However, direct communication is decreasing nowadays. We would like to introduce four activities with human warmth done by students at two private middle schools in Japan. They are 1. Reading Aloud to Children at Toshima City Library (Toshimagaoka) to contribute to local community, 2. Philosophy Café (Toshimagaoka) with a neighbor University, 3. Bibliobattle, Japanese new reading activity with other schools (Toshimagaoka & Shibuya) and 4. Used Book Fair (Shibuya) to donate the UNESCO Fund.

School libraries, just like the school community, do reflect the social environment in which they operate. This is the story of the emergence of one such library, within Papua New Guinea and its development through the assistance of AUSAID. It looks at an idea – Resource Based Learning - which has enabled the local community to take ownership of a resource centre which will now be able to provide a true teaching/learning environment for all of the community. It is more than a collection of books! It has the beginnings of a vibrant active resource for the whole community.

The SMK Negeri 1 Siantar School Library is one of the special libraries located at the SMK Negeri 1 Siantar School. Libraries provide various kinds of library materials such as books, lessons, lesson questions, and other vocational books. After the researcher made observations, the problem that often occurred was books that were borrowed and returned books that had a non-strategic layout, so that library visitors who did not know the placement found it difficult to find the books they wanted to borrow. This research uses data mining techniques, namely the Apriori Algorithm, the Apriori Method is a method for looking for patterns of relationships between one or more items in a dataset. The Apriori method can be used for data on borrowing books at the Siantar 1 State Vocational School School Library, where the composition of the library books (B1) X_Press UN 2019 B. Indonesia side by side with books (B4) School of Love is a Great Leader and Teacher, if the composition of the book is (B10) Moral Mulia side by side with book (B1) X_Press UN 2019 B. Indonesia, If the book arrangement (B7) X_Press Mathematics is side by side with the book (B5) Relationer, if the book arrangement (B7) X_Press Mathematics is side by side with the book (B9) Indonesian Wisdom Batak Toba, and if the arrangement of the book (B10) Morals Mulia is side by side with the book (B8) Hati Therapy, the data from these items each met the minimum confidance value of 0,5% or the same as the specified 50%. The result of this research is to help library staff arrange the book layout correctly. It is hoped that this research can provide input to the school

This research is the extent to which efforts to optimize literacy culture through school libraries during the Covid-19 pandemic carried out by SD N 1 Pageraji Korwilcam Dindik Cilongok, Banyumas district. Data collection methods used in this study include: interviews, observation, and documentation. The data analysis technique is reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. Programs in an effort to cultivate a literacy culture are compiled periodically, the daily program that has been implemented is by holding non-lesson book reading activities before learning begins, by sharing literacy corners throughout the school environment. The weekly program includes posting pictures / stories of activities on social media and making scheduled visits to the school library. Monthly program by making observation forms to assess students' progress in literacy. Semester program implemented by giving awards to teachers and students. These programs are implemented with a pattern of cooperation from all elements, namely the principal, teachers, education personnel, which will make the school library utilization program implemented properly.

The article outlines general characteristics of the originality of forming valeological functions in a school library. The paper objective is to study peculiarities of the valeological support of library-information activities in school libraries, as well as the specifics analysis of their library and cultural-educational work aimed at developing the health culture of this activity subjects The author consistently reveals the peculiarities of forming the valeological function of school libraries under conditions of the information society development and dissemination of information-telecommunication technologies in libraries. The article describes cultural-educational activities of libraries directed to develop the health culture not only in readers (schoolchildren, their parents, teachers), but in librarians themselves. The author applies both general scientific methods of research (analysis, synthesis, deduction, induction, generalization, abstraction, comparative, structural-functional methods, method of system analysis, etc.) and special ones (method of analysis of analog objects, information processing, grouping). While researching the author concludes about necessity of the the following: to equip educational libraries technically; to update and strengthen the information base and book stocks of school libraries; to ensure the access of libraries to information resources, in particular the Internet; to form a unified electronic database of school library collections; to develop a form of resource integration with other educational libraries; to create a standing order on the status of libraries in basic schools; to develop a system for improving the skills of school library staff; to organize special training for school librarians to master their knowledge and skills of a healthy lifestyle. Therefore, the school librarian must be trained according to a separate professional specialization. The social life development requires librarians to know not only the valeology bases, but the ability to navigate in information technologies, school curricula and training courses diversitys. Modern problems of information education and forming a high level of valeological culture can be solved only by combining the efforts of general education institutions and school libraries, teachers and librarians. Pedagogical experience shows that knowledge on the health formation and preservation is a necessary and insufficient factor in students' personality development. To influence the behavior, informative methods should be combined with life skills of effective work and rest, physical activity, rational nutrition, an ability to analyze health issues and make appropriate decisions. Thus, forming health culture through library-information activities provides arming school readers and librarians with knowledge on social and individual health and applying certain information technologies in their activities.

This article presents data on the impacts and changes caused by the Covid-19 pandemic on librarianship within the context of rural school libraries. We understand the work in libraries as a special activity that is only valued if contextualized. Thus, we question the role of the library and the librarian practices in the current pandemic scenario with the purpose of updating the debate on librarianship in rural schools. To this end, we conducted a bibliographic and exploratory field research mediated by the application of a questionnaire. We conclude by highlighting the precarious situation that prevents actions and activities to encourage reading and the dissemination of pedagogical resources to support school and school-community libraries.

In New Zealand school libraries, the nature of educational activities performed by school library staff is unclear. Three parallel case studies were conducted to explore the actual work of school library team members. Ways of working with teachers and each other were explored in interviews and focus groups and the characteristics of information service provision were compared with those reflected in the wider literature. While many practices were affirmed for their positive influence on teaching and learning, areas for further development were identified. These are discussed in terms of creating change and strengthening learning outcomes.

The purpose of this study is examining some suggestions on how school libraries can be involved in Special Needs Education in a helpful way. The Modified Grounded Theory Approach is used as the method for this study. In my analysis I focus on the change in perception of 19 school staff members with respect to changes in the school library function and factors for these changes. Based on the result the school librarian’s anticipated four supports are suggested as follows: providing suitable materials that take into account students’ situation, searching study by team teaching, supporting students’ self-affirmation by sympathetic understanding, and educational support encouraging students’ socialization.

This paper will explore briefly what research tells us about library design and, more specifically, the design of reading spaces for the provision of pleasure reading in school libraries. Acoustics, lighting and temperature levels, amongst other factors, all have an impact upon the learning experience that takes place in any school space. How we approach the creation of library reading spaces will be discussed with a particular focus on student views and opinions. Furniture, layout, colour, display and ambience will all be considered in light of how they affect comfort and learning opportunities. A number of illustrative examples of school library reading spaces and the views of students will be shared with the audience during the formal presentation.
