Computer three-dimensional animation is a new type of animation with the development of computer software and hardware technology in recent years. Three-dimensional animation should apply the software of three-dimensional animation technology to establish a virtual world in the computer. In this virtual three-dimensional world, designers build animated character models and scene models according to the shape and scale of the objects to be represented. Then set the motion trajectory of the character model, the motion of the virtual camera and other animation parameters according to the requirements, and then assign specific materials to the model and add lights to the model. Then the computer can automatically calculate and generate the final continuous picture. Under this background, the research on 3D animation character shaping in this paper is to analyze and study the market situation from the standpoint of small-scale 3D animation companies (teams) with relatively weak technology, and through the author's own creative practice, this paper summarizes some principles for the design and production of 3D animation characters, and tries to improve the education system of 3D animation character design. It promotes the production and dissemination of 3D animation and distinct 3D animation characters. Starting with the comparative research method, this paper summarizes the differences of 3D animation character shaping from the comparison of the characteristics of 3D animation and traditional animation, and then summarizes the efficient ways and methods of how to shape 3D animation characters by combining practice with theory.

In the animation industry, with the development of computer software and hardware technology, a new technology began to emerge, that is, three-dimensional animation. Three-dimensional animation software first creates a virtual world in the computer. In this virtual three-dimensional world, the designer builds the model and scene according to the shape and size of the object to be represented and then sets the motion trajectory of the model, the motion of the virtual camera, and the scene according to the requirements. When setting other animation parameters, we need to assign specific materials to the model and turn on lights. When all this is completed, the computer can automatically calculate and generate the final picture. The software Maya can just help animators to complete this work. When using Maya, we can apply many professional courses such as action design, scene design, and storyboarding script design that we have learned. Maya is a 3D software with convenient operability. It can combine the rendered sequence frames with AE to show unique animations. Therefore, the three-dimensional production method is preferred in the production method. The production of animation based on the 3D software Maya brings infinite challenges. At the same time, it also helps everyone grow and has a good position for our employment direction.

Facial expression is one of some aspects that can deliver story and character’s emotion in 3D animation. To achieve that, we need to plan the character facial from very beginning of the production. At early stage, the character designer need to think about the expression after theu done the character design. Rigger need to create a flexible rigging to achieve the design. Animator can get the clear picture how they animate the facial. Facial Action Coding System (FACS) that originally developed by Carl-Herman Hjortsjo and adopted by Paul Ekman and Wallace V. can be used to identify emotion in a person generally. This paper is going to explain how the Writer use FACS to help designing the facial expression in 3D characters. FACS will be used to determine the basic characteristic of basic shapes of the face when show emotions, while compare with actual face reference. Keywords: animation, facial expression, non-dialog

Three-dimensional printing (3DP) has a significant impact on organ transplant, cosmetic surgery, surgical planning, prosthetics and other medical fields. Recently, 3 DP attracted the attention as a promising method for the production of small-scale drug production. The knowledge expansion about the population differences in metabolism and genetics grows the need for personalised medicine substantially. In personalised medicine, the patient receives a tailored dose and the release profile is based on his pharmacokinetics data. 3 DP is expected to be one of the leading solutions for the personalisation of the drug dispensing. This technology can fabricate a drug-device with complicated geometries and fillings to obtain the needed drug release profile. The extrusionbased 3 DP is the most explored method for investigating the feasibility of the technology to produce a novel dosage form with properties that are difficult to achieve using the conventional industrial methods. Extrusionbased 3 DP is divided into two techniques, the semi-solid extrusion (SSE) and the fused deposition modeling (FDM). This review aims to explain the extrusion principles behind the two techniques and discuss their capabilities to fabricate novel dosage forms. The advantages and limitations observed through the application of SSE and FDM for fabrication of drug dosage forms were discussed in this review. Further exploration and development are required to implement this technology in the healthcare frontline for more effective and personalised treatment.

The present work introduces an analysis of the measurement and model effects that exist in monopile scour protection experiments with repeated small scale tests. The damage erosion is calculated using the three dimensional global damage number S3D and subarea damage number S3D,i. Results show that the standard deviation of the global damage number σ(S3D)=0.257 and is approximately 20% of the mean S3D, and the standard deviation of the subarea damage number σ(S3D,i)=0.42 which can be up to 33% of the mean S3D. The irreproducible maximum wave height, chaotic flow field and non-repeatable armour layer construction are regarded as the main reasons for the occurrence of strong model effects. The measurement effects are limited to σ(S3D)=0.039 and σ(S3D,i)=0.083, which are minor compared to the model effects.

Recently, a new type of low-loss variable inlet guide vane (VIGV) was proposed for improving a compressor’s performance under off-design conditions. To provide more information for applications, this work investigated the effect of the Reynolds number and clearance flow on the aerodynamic characteristics of this new type of VIGV. The performance and flow field of two representative airfoils with different chord Reynolds numbers were studied with the widely used commercial software ANSYS CFX after validation was completed. Calculations indicate that, with the decrease in the Reynolds number Rec, the airfoil loss coefficient ω and deviation δ first increase slightly and then entered a high growth rate in a low range of Rec. Afterwards, a detailed boundary-layer analysis was conducted to reveal the flow mechanism for the airfoil performance degradation with a low Reynolds number. For the design point, it is the appearance and extension of the separation region on the rear portion; for the maximum incidence point, it is the increase in the length and height of the separation region on the former portion. The three-dimensional VIGV research confirms the Reynolds number effect on airfoils. Furthermore, the clearance leakage flow forms a strong stream-wise vortex by injection into the mainflow, resulting in a high total-pressure loss and under-turning in the endwall region, which shows the potential benefits of seal treatment.
