The article describes the development trends of the modern poultry product subcomplex as a raw material base for food industry and state export activity. Import substitution and increasing export volumes are a priority for the federal and regional development policies of Russia. In this regard, the aim of the study was to analyze the current state of food industry in the context of policy implementation of import substitution and export development. The achievement of the set goal was disclosed by solving several interrelated tasks: 1) analysis of resources of food products (eggs and egg products) and their use; 2) identification of a hidden correlation between indicators “production” and “import”; 3) identification of a hidden correlation between indicators “production” and “export”. We hypothesized that indicators “production” and “export” of agri-food are directly correlated. Studies to identify hidden correlation dependencies have shown that there is a direct correlation between indicators “production” and “import”. Indicators “production” and “export” don’t have dependencies and influence on each other, therefore an increase in production doesn’t affect the direct export of eggs from the country.

There is a potential opportunity to convert almost any type of biomass into biofuel and bio- nanomaterials, if the appropriate biotechnological and chemical processing methods are used. The preference for this or that bioresource is due to the stability of the raw material base and the prospect of its use. Jerusalem artichoke stem (Helianthus tuberosus L.) (JA) is widely known as a potential non-food raw material for biofuels due to high biomass extraction (36–49 t/ha (tons per hectare)) and limited cultivation requirements. But little attention is given to study the possibility of using the stems to produce various kinds of cellulose. This article presents samples of cellulose that were obtained from the Jerusalem artichoke stem using mechanical and chemical methods. Cellulose yield from the stem was: cortex 51.1%, pith 65.2% with the α-cellulose content 96–98%. Methods of electron microscopy, atomic absorption, IR spectroscopy, X-ray diffraction, BET for nitrogen adsorption, thermogravimetry were used to study the cortex and the pith of the Jerusalem artichoke stem. Analysis of the cellulose samples confirmed the possibility of obtaining high-quality cellulose.

The analysis of the mineral base of graphite of the Ukrainian shield with the use of geological and economic eassessment methods was carried out. Directions of the rational development are outlined. The main problems of sustainable development of graphite mineral raw-material base in modern conditions are determined. Geological and technological factors of economic value of graphite deposits and occurrences are characterized. A scheme of comparative assessment estimation of graphite deposits was proposed. This scheme allows to establish the most promising objects for further exploration in the initial stages of mineral deposits prospecting. The analysis includes the main geological, economic, technological and industrial factors of economic value of graphite deposits, such as reserves / resources, graphite content in ores, depth of ores, exploration degree and complexity of the deposit and others. The following methods were used in the work: the method of rapid assessment of the minerals value for determining the potential economic value of objects and the method of scoring. At the first stage, the deposits and occurrences included in the state balance, were ranked according to geological and industrial parameters. Each of the parameters rated according to its qualitative characteristics. The number of points obtained for graphite deposits with proven development efficiency (Burtynske, Balakhivske) and the developed field (Zavalivske) were used as optimal indicators. According to them, the most promising for further exploration works graphite occurrences with the best geological and industrial indicators were selected. The commodity value of these deposits was calculated using the method of coefficients. The results of the calculation were also taken into account for determining the most promising deposits for investment. According to the obtained data, a map of potentially promising graphite deposits of the Ukrainian shield was constracted.

The article analyzes the state of the phosphate raw material base in Russia and its role in the economic development of the country and in domestic agriculture especially. The problems that prevent the creation of a modern powerful phosphate production capable of satisfying the existing demands of agriculture in phosphoric mineral fertilizers are highlighted. The possible directions of the development of the phosphorus industry in the regions for the near and distant prospects are analyzed. The aim of the article is to analyze the current state of the domestic mineral resource base to produce phosphorus fertilizers, the acute shortage of which hinders the development of the country's agriculture. Actual base for research was mainly processed materials from specialized scientific articles and publicly available publications. In addition, data collected by the authors during thirty years of studying phosphorite deposits in Russia and foreign countries were involved. The analysis of published materials of leading Russian producers of phosphorus products, mining companies, databases of specialized federal and regional geological companies. It is concluded that before the country's geological services, the most important task remains to identify deposits of high-quality phosphate ores, and especially in Siberia and the Russian Far East. Significant prospects for the development of these regions are opened by the Northern Sea Route. The planned pace of its development offers unique opportunities for the economic development of the Taimyr-Anabar region, where huge resources of apatite-bearing carbonatites of the Tomptor alkaline massif and Meimech-Kotuy province are concentrated.

The development of distinct biomimetic microenvironments for regulating stem cell behavior and bioengineering human tissues and disease models requires a solid understanding of cell–substrate interactions, adhesion, and its role in directing cell behavior, and other physico-chemical cues that drive cell behavior. In the past decade, innovative developments in chemistry, materials science, microfabrication, and associated technologies have given us the ability to manipulate the stem cell microenvironment with greater precision and, further, to monitor effector impacts on stem cells, both spatially and temporally. The influence of biomaterials and the 3D microenvironment’s physical and biochemical properties on mesenchymal stem cell proliferation, differentiation, and matrix production are the focus of this review chapter. Mechanisms and materials, principally hydrogel and hydrogel composites for bone and cartilage repair that create “cell-supportive” and “instructive” biomaterials, are emphasized. We begin by providing an overview of stem cells, their unique properties, and their challenges in regenerative medicine. An overview of current fabrication strategies for creating instructive substrates is then reviewed with a focused discussion of selected fabrication methods with an emphasis on bioprinting as a critical tool in creating novel stem cell-based biomaterials. We conclude with a critical assessment of the current state of the field and offer our view on the promises and potential pitfalls of the approaches discussed.
