ABSTRACT Among the critical factors in organ perfusion are (1) the mechanical components of the system, (2) the composition of the perfusate, and (3) the perfusing conditions. In this review, particular consideration is given to the pump, the oxygenator, and cannulas in such systems. Emphasis is placed upon the selection of pertinent equipment for the goals of a particular perfusion experiment, based upon the criteria of adequacy of the perfusion. Common problems in organ perfusion are summarized, and potential solutions to the perfusion problem, involving either biologic or mechanical extracorporeal systems, are suggested.

CV. Riki Utama Mandiri is a company in distributing an economic fish frozen product. This company distributed any kind of retail and wholesaler, both domestic and export. They distributing many frozen fish products variant such as Patin Fillet and Shark Fin. The all raw materials of those frozen seafood was obtained by three different suppliers. The common problems found in CV. Riki Utama Mandiri mostly about raw patin fish supplier which often committed delivery delays.  The purpose of this research is to fixing the supply chain management in deciding the more accurate selections of raw materials supplier. To overcome the common problems that happen. Analytical network process (ANP) will simplify the criteria weight values and sub criteria of each supplier. Meanwhile, technique for others reference by similarity to ideal solution (TOPSIS) method is used for giving a rank order of the alternative supplier. This research is expected for being a consideration for the company in obtaining a good and more effective kind of raw supplier. We also expecting the company for tighten supplier selection more effective way so that it can fullfilled the existing standard. Also to overcome the common problems such as delivery delays, competing raw materials with uncertain quality, and difficulty in sort out the raw materials due to size issues.

The article considers the problem of reflecting the picture of the world of English social dystopia and its moral and ethical component in the author’s idiosyncrasy, as well as ways of its reproduction in modern translation into Ukrainian. The urgency of this issue is dictated by the dynamism and variability of society, the processes of globalization and integration of states and nations, the need to find a common language in intercultural communication, solving common problems, finding compromises through faithful cross-cultural communication, interaction and cooperation. Within the framework of the research a comprehensive translation analysis was made, which allowed to outline the concepts related to the conceptual picture of the world and moral and ethical discourse of the dystopian novel, to find out and compare the features of authorial and translational transferring of the conceptual picture of the world in moral and ethical discourse in Ukrainian translation, as well as to characterize its tactical and strategic basis and translation operations. To reproduce the culturologically complicated, but conceptually important components of the picture of the world in the dystopian novel, it is necessary to adhere to the principles of “flexibility” and “combinatoriality” in the selection of translation operations for faithful rendering of these components. It is established that the correctness and faithfulness of rendering of the conceptual picture of the world in the dystopian novel is possible due to the holistic-situational perception and translation of the original text, wide subject and rich background knowledge of the translator, his/her creative intuition, pragmatic adaptation of the source text using logical and semantic, cross-cultural and occasional ways of solving the problem and adherence to an objective tactical and strategic approach in translation.

Design changes are necessary to sustain the product against competition. Due to technical, social, and financial constraints, an organization can only implement a few of many change alternatives. Hence, a wise selection of a change alternative is fundamentally influential for the growth of the organization. Organizations lack knowledge bases to effectively capture rationale for a design change; i.e., identifying the potential effects a design change. In this paper, (1) we propose a knowledge base called multiple-domain matrix that comprises the relationships among different parameters that are building blocks of a product and its manufacturing system. (2) Using the indirect change propagation method, we capture these relationships to identify the potential effects of a design change. (3) We propose a cost-based metric called change propagation impact (CPI) to quantify the effects that are captured from the multiple-domain matrix. These individual pieces of work are integrated into a web-based tool called Vatram. The tool is deployed in a design environment to evaluate its usefulness and usability.

AbstractProduction of recombinant proteins in Escherichia coli expression systems has shown many advantages, as well as disadvantages, especially for biotechnological and other down-stream applications. The choice of an appropriate vector depends on the gene, to be cloned for purification procedures and other analyses. Selection of a suitable production strain plays an important role in the preparation of recombinant proteins. The main criteria for the selection of the host organism are the properties of the recombinant produced protein, its subsequent use and the total amount desired. The most common problems in eukaryotic gene expression and recombinant proteins purification are, for instance, post-translational modifications, formation of disulphide bonds, or inclusion bodies. Obtaining a purified protein is a key step enabling further characterization of its role in the biological system. Moreover, methods of protein purification have been developed in parallel with the discovery of proteins and the need for their studies and applications. After protein purification, and also between the individual purification steps, it is necessary to test protein stability under different conditions over time. Shortly, all the essential points have been briefly discussed, which could be encountered during production and purification of a recombinant protein of interest, especially from eukaryotic source and expressed heterogeneously in prokaryotic production system.

The paper presents the problem of vibration reduction in designed discrete mechanical systems. The method of reduction has been based on active synthesis, which makes it possible to obtain the desired mechanical effect through the proper selection of dynamic properties of the system, including the calculation of the active force as a function of the system force feedback.

<strong>English</strong><br />In some rural areas, autonomous-formed traditional institutions keep its important roles and well-functioned. Community participation, mainly those who belong to poor group, was quite high both in institutional participation and in decision making process. The reason was that they gained some benefits, both economic and social benefits. The existing institution was adequately dynamic towards internal as well as external factors. Some of these factors could strengthen the institutions, but some others could even destroy the existing institutions. Some factors that contribute strengths to employment relations are (a) those naturally established and formed their own community, (b) selection of members appeared to have been  processed naturally, (c) facing common problems and needs, (d) obey the agreed rules of the games, (e) use simple organizational structure, and (f)  and employ fairness principles.<br /><br /><br /><strong>Indonesian</strong><br />Kelembagaan  hubungan ketenagakerjaan tradisional masih berperan dan berfungsi dengan baik dibeberapa wilayah pedesaaan, yang dibentuk secara otonom.

The lymphoepithelial pharyngeal ring is located in the entrance gate and is constantly exposed to infectious agents. Currently, chronic pathology of the lymphoepithelial pharyngeal ring remains one of the most common problems in the practice of a pediatric doctor. Hypertrophy of the pharyngeal tonsil, chronic adenoiditis, which occurs in 35.3% of children under the age of 7 years, and chronic tonsillitis, which occurs in 15-63% of cases, are among the most common diseases of childhood. Taking into account the wide range of infectious microbiota that contributes to the development of chronic pathology of the lymphoepithelial pharyngeal ring, the issue of differential diagnosis of the etiology of the disease and the selection of adequate treatment regimens remains relevant. In most cases, at the present stage, the approach to the treatment of patients with chronic inflammation of the lymphoid ring of the pharynx in children is reduced to replacing the surgical method with a conservative one with the appointment of immunocorrective and immunomodulatory drugs. The lack of a positive effect of the ongoing conservative treatment, clinical and laboratory signs of persistent streptococcal infection say us about the need for surgical treatment. At the same time, a group of frequently ill children requires special attention with the development of new regimens of the immunocorrecting and immunomodulating drugs usage.

ABSTRACT BACKGROUND: Over the next 20 years, the number of patients on the waiting list for liver transplantation (LTx) is expected to increase by 23%, while pre-LTx costs should raise by 83%. OBJECTIVE: To evaluate direct medical costs of the pre-LTx period from the perspective of a tertiary care center. METHODS: The study included 104 adult patients wait-listed for deceased donor LTx between October 2012 and May 2016 whose treatment was fully provided at the study transplant center. Clinical and economic data were obtained from electronic medical records and from a hospital management software. Outcomes of interest and costs of patients on the waiting list were compared through the Kruskal-Wallis test. A generalized linear model with logit link function was used for multivariate analysis. P-values <0.05 were considered statistically significant. RESULTS: The costs of patients who underwent LTx ($8,879.83; 95% CI 6,735.24-11,707.27; P<0.001) or who died while waiting ($6,464.73; 95% CI 3,845.75-10,867.28; P=0.04) were higher than those of patients who were excluded from the list for any reason except death ($4,647.78; 95% CI 2,469.35-8,748.04; P=0.254) or those who remained on the waiting list at the end of follow-up. CONCLUSION: Although protocols of inclusion on the waiting list vary among transplant centers, similar approaches exist and common problems should be addressed. The results of this study may help centers with similar socioeconomic realities adjust their transplant policies.

In this work the Controlled Lagrangian Formalism applied to electrical machines is explored for the first time. It begins with an analysis of the purely mechanical systems, once understood, the study is carried out on a two-phase induction motor, this implying a greater degree of complexity because there is no reference that has done it before. Finally, this study is expanded to the three-phase motor, this being the main research object of the project. The main guide used was the Bloch article cite bloch2000controlled on the analysis of mechanical systems. Regarding the procedure, the first thing that is done is the selection of the generalized coordinates, the Lagrangian is proposed and the model is obtained from it through the Euler-Lagrange equations, followed by that the symmetries are identified (which in the case of MI is especially interesting because these symmetries are obvious from the choice of coordinates) and the configuration space is divided into vertical and horizontal directions, the horizontal directions are redefined and the Controlled Lagrangian is proposed. Finally, generalized forces are sought, using Noether's Theorem as support and thus establishing the control law. The development to obtain the Controlled Lagrangian and the control law is done in detail, explaining each step of the procedure and using specific algebraic methods of this formalism that are strongly based on the geometric structure of the variety of configuration. The results obtained are an approach in the direction of Controlled Lagrangians applied electrical machines.
