Purpose: to develop and experimentally substantiate the effectiveness of the methodology for teaching the basic technique of free-style wrestling in combination with physical training. Material and methods. The study involved 16 young athletes, 8-9 years old, a group of initial training, the first year of training, who were engaged in the department of free-style wrestling KZ «KDYUSSH №4» in Kharkov. The boys were divided into two equal groups (experimental and control), according to the results of testing the level of development of physical abilities (p>0,05). An experimental methodology of basic technical training for young freestyle wrestlers of the initial level of training was developed, which consisted not only of means and methods of teaching certain elements of wrestling techniques, but also a large number of preparatory, special exercises, games and game tasks, different in coordination complexity. It was on the basis of versatile coordination training, which was solved mainly by the game method, that the experimental methodology of the basic technical training of young athletes was built. Research methods: analysis of scientific and methodological sources; generalization of the practical experience of practitioners; pedagogical observations; pedagogical experiment; pedagogical testing; method of expert assessments; methods of mathematical statistics. Results: the advantage of young wrestlers in the experimental group was determined by almost all the studied indicators. A regularity was noticed, with an increase in the complexity of the exercise, the difference in the quality of its fulfillment by young wrestlers from the experimental and control groups increased. In special exercises, these are running to the subdominant side (t=6,20; p˂0,001), and throwing off the legs from the passage (t=3,27; p˂0,01), in the study of the quality of performing techniques in the stalls - a coup coasting (t=3,33; p˂0,01) in the study of technical readiness in a standing position - an incline throw with a hold of the legs (t=3,68; p˂0,01) knocking down with a hold of the legs (t=3,24; p˂0,01), as well as maneuvering (t=3,37; p˂0,01). There was no significant difference in the quality of performance of technical actions between the experimental and control groups, only in four of the sixteen studied indicators (p>0,05). Conclusions. The effectiveness of the experimental methodology of basic technical training of young wrestlers, used in the group of initial training, has been proved. According to most of the studied indicators, the advantage of young wrestlers in the experimental group was determined (p˂0,05-p˂0,001). The following tendency is observed, with an increase in the coordination complexity of the studied technical actions or movements, the probability of differences between the quality of this action fulfillment by young athletes of the experimental and control groups increases, in favor of the former. Only in simpler, in terms of coordination structure, movements, the advantages of the experimental group under study, confirmed by mathematical calculations, were not revealed (p˂0,05). Keywords: freestyle wrestling, young wrestlers, initial training groups, basic technical training, coordination development.

Background: The present study aimed to evaluate the effect of cold dialysis solution on the sexual dysfunction of patients with chronic renal failure undergoing hemodialysis. Methods: This randomized clinical trial was conducted with a before and after parallel design among 60 hemodialysis patients diagnosed with sexual dysfunction. The selected subjects were randomly allocated to the two groups of experimental and control (30 per each). Patients in the experimental and control groups underwent hemodialysis for one month using 35.5°C and 37°C dialysis solutions, respectively. Following the procedure, male and female sexual function was assessed in the study groups. Data were collected using the International Index of Erectile Functions, the female sexual function index (FSFI), and a demographic questionnaire. Data analysis was performed using Chi-square, Fisher's exact test, Mann-Whitney U test, t-test, paired t-test, and Wilcoxon test at 95% confidence interval. Results: No significant difference was observed between the experimental and control groups regarding male sexual function before and after the intervention (P > 0.05). However, the Mann-Whitney U test indicated a significant difference in the female subjects’ arousal in the experimental group before (3.68 ± 0.38) and after the intervention (3.98 ± 0.46; z = 2.216; P = 0.027). Conclusions: Cold dialysis solution could only increase the sexual arousal of the women in the experimental group, and no changes were observed in other sexual function domains of the male and female patients. Given the short duration of our intervention, it is recommended that further longitudinal studies be performed on larger cohorts of patients in different geographical regions.

Abstract Background: Gestational diabetes mellitus (GDM) is a disease condition present during pregnancy and if not properly managed would have severe effect on the maternal and neonatal health. This research determined the effect of diabetes education program (DEP) on gestational diabetes mellitus knowledge (GDMK) among diabetic pregnant women (DPW) and significant differences within groups. Methods: This study was based on a pretest – posttest measures of experimental research design involving experimental (n=110) and control (n=110) groups. A total of 220 DPW were purposively recruited from public hospitals in Nigeria between October and December 2019. The DEP was delivered to DPW in experimental group. The Gestational Diabetes Mellitus Knowledge Questionnaire (GDMKQ) of 0.774 was used for data collection. The statistical analysis was completed using IBM SPSS version 22. Results: The results revealed that no statistically significant difference existed on GDM history (P=0.801>0.05), smoking habit (P=0.0615>0.05), parity status (P=0.503>0.05), and level of education (P=0.720>0.05), while difference was observed on alcohol status (P=0.011<0.05), and age by birth (P=0.009<0.05). Also, while no significant difference existed between the DPW in the treatment and control groups on GDMK pretest measures (P=0.901>0.05), difference existed between the DPW in the intervention and control groups on GDMK posttest scores (P=0.026<0.05). Also, the higher percentage score (78%) of DPW in the experimental group in the posttest GDMK measures which is higher than the score in the pretest measures (55%) of the same group were indications that DEP has significant effect on GDMK among DPW.Conclusion: This demonstrates that reliable interventions are effective in combating pregnancy-related complications. This requires collaborative efforts by concerned bodies to combat notable complications during pregnancy using reliable intervention.Trial Registration: In retrospect, the Pan African Clinical Trial Registry documented the study with registration trial code (Trial No.: PACTR201903003187005)

This study examines how piano-accompanied solfège reading practices of preservice music teachers ( N = 28) affect their performance on their musical hearing, reading, and writing (MHRW) classes. A pretest–posttest design with control groups was employed. The data were analyzed by 2 × 2 split-plot analysis of variance (ANOVA) and one-way ANOVA. Consequently, a significant difference was not found between the MHRW performance scores of the experimental and control groups. An analysis of mean performance scores revealed that the scores received by the control group were higher than those of the experimental group after the practice. Follow-up interviews that were held with 14 students after the experimental implementation revealed that students believed piano-accompanied courses were more useful, and they felt more comfortable with piano accompaniment. Although MHRW performance scores indicated that piano-accompanied solfège reading practices did not have a significant effect on preservice music teachers’ MHRW performances, it helped them participate in courses more enthusiastically.
