Objective methods for competence evaluating of scientists in the subject domain pertinent to the specific scientific product – research project, publication, etc. are proposed. These methods are based on the semantic matching of the description of scientific product and documents that confirm the competence of its authors or experts in the domain of this product. In addition, the use of knowledge acquired from the Web open environment – Wiki-resources, scientometric databases, organization official website, domain ontologies is proposed. Specialized ontology of scientific activity which allows to standardize the terminological base for describing the qualifications of researchers is developed.

The paper analyzes the problems of search personalization of information resources and information objects which is based on the construction and use of user task thesaurus. This thesaurus allows the use of knowledge about search domain and structure of information objects represented by some appropriate ontologies. The definitions of semantic search, its subjects and components allow more articulate issues related to the information retrieval in the Web open environment. Software implementation of the proposed approach confirms the effectiveness of its prac-tical use.

Da'wah is a process of delivering or certain ways that a da'i tells mad'u to achieve a goal on the basis of wisdom and compassion. At this time many da'i appeared in the midst of society, conveying their da'wah with special methods so as to attract the attention of the public. Of the many da'i who were able to make mad'u amazed at his distinctive style of speech when delivering his da'wah material was KH. Yahya Zainul Ma'arif (hereinafter referred to as Buya Yahya). He is a person who has a friendly nature, it can be seen from the look on his face in each conveying his preaching and his attitude that appears when interacting directly with the worshipers. This research is a subject research and missionary activity. The purpose of the study was to find out the method of da'wah KH. Yahya Zainul Ma'arif. This type of research is a character qualitative study with taxonomic analysis specifications. The design of taxonomic analysis is to describe the subject domain of research and all aspects that shape its role in the field of Islamic da'wah. The results of the study showed that the da'wah method used by KH. Yahya Zainul Ma'arif is a tabligh method. Tabligh is done by forming a lecture assembly. After the tabligh was conducted, Buya Yahya developed tabligh by doing cadre. The cadre was carried out by means of tarbiyah from this tarbiyah. Ulama will emerge who will continue the missionary mission in the future. Therefore, Buya Yahya founded the Islamic Boarding School Islamic Boarding School (LPD) al Bahjah. Actually in tabligh activity, Buya Yahya explores the potential to invite tabligh together. In bertabligh also uses a variety of media, such as sound systems and other media, such as radio, TV, live streaming, facebook, Instagram, android applications (Buya Yahya in the playstore) and the web so that the tabligh reaches the wider community. The tabligh method includes four things, namely al hikmah, mauidzah al hasanah and mujadalah and question and answer

The COVID-19 pandemic highlighted the necessity of good quality and adequate quantity of healthcare infrastructure facilities. Healthcare facilities were provided for COVID-19 facilities with improvisation and supplementary lateral infrastructure from other sectors. However, the main point of contemplation going into the future was regarding how to quickly develop healthcare facilities. The subject domain of ‘industrial engineering’ (IE) and its associated perspectives could provide some key insights regarding this. The authors undertook a conceptual literature review and provided theoretical argumentation toward this. The findings provided insights regarding the application of industrial engineering concepts in healthcare facilities and services.

The increasing attention which has been given to social history of science and to the sociological analysis of scientific activity has resulted in a renewed interest in scientific controversies. Furthermore, the rejection of the presentist view of history, according to which those contestants who took what we can identify, with the benefit of modern knowledge, as the ‘right’ stand in a controversy, were right and their opponents were ‘wrong’, left the subject of scientific controversies with many questions. What determines their emergence, course and resolution? When Froggatt and Nevin wrote on the Bio-metric-Mendelian controversy in 1971 they called their article ‘descriptive rather than interpretative’, so they avoided the very questions we would like to ask. Provine, in the same year, concentrated on the strong personalities of the contestants, their clashes, and the scientific arguments in play. But in 1975 Mackenzie and Barnes argued that the controversy could not be accounted for unless recourse was had to sociological factors. Their view has become widely known and figured prominently in 1982 in Steven Shapin's recital of the empirical achievements of the application of the sociological approach. I have returned to this subject because I do not yet feel altogether convinced by Mackenzie and Barnes' analysis. Even if their analysis of the controversy between Pearson and Bateson be accepted, it is not so obvious how effectively it can be used to explain the controversy between Weldon and Bateson, and I am not confident that it is adequate for an understanding of the evolution of their differing views of the mechanism of evolution.

The subject of this paper is loss and grief described by different people from two language groups: Americans and Poles. The analyzed data comes from the responses to two online questionnaires, and belongs to a larger PhD research project. In looking for examples of conceptual metaphors (Lakoff and Johnson 1980, Kövecses 2005) and conceptual blends (Fauconnier and Turner 1996, Dancygier and Sweetser 2014), we present various cases of conceptualization of loss and grief. Given the limited size of this paper, we selected examples referring to loss of a father. The aim is to compare different ways of talking about apparently the same type of loss, highlighting the fact that grief is very subjective and personal. It is also a way to present differences and a variety in viewpoint when talking about this type of loss.

This article analyses Camille Henrot’s 2013 film Grosse Fatigue in relation to the histories of hypermedia and modes of interaction with the World Wide Web. It considers the development of non-hierarchical systems for the organisation of information, and uses Grosse Fatigue to draw comparisons between the Web, the natural history museum and the archive. At stake in focusing on the way in which information is organised through hypermedia is the question of subjectivity, and this article argues that such systems are made ‘user-friendly’ by appearing to accommodate intuitive processes of information retrieval, reflecting the subject back to itself as autonomous. This produces an ideology of individualism which belies the forms of heteronomy that in fact shape and structure access to information online in significant ways. At the heart of this argument is an attention to the visual, and the significance of art as an immanent mode of analysis. Through the themes of transparency and opacity, and order and chaos, the article thus proposes a defining dynamic between autonomy and automation as a model for understanding the contemporary subject.

The Department of Theoretical Electrical Engineering (TEE) of Technical University of Sofia has been developing interactive enterprise-technologies based course on Theoretical Electrical Engineering. One side of the project is the development of multimedia teaching modules for the core undergraduate electrical engineering courses (Circuit Theory and Electromagnetic Fields) and the other side is the development of Software Architecture of the web site on which modules are deployed. Initial efforts have been directed at the development of multimedia modules for the subject Electrical Circuits and on developing the web site structure. The objective is to develop teaching materials that will enhance lectures and laboratory exercises and will allow computerized examinations on the subject. This article outlines the framework used to develop the web site structure, the Circuit Theory teaching modules, and the strategy of their use as teaching tool.
