This study aimed to describe the teaching of the Arabic language through electronic platforms, study its advantages and disadvantages, and reveal its effectiveness in teaching Arabic in Morocco, in an era when distance learning was imposed, such as this period now is Covid 19 pandemic. This research followed the descriptive analytical approach, giving importance to both qualitative and quantitative aspects, qualitative research describing the electronic platforms used in teaching Arabic in Morocco and stating their advantages and disadvantages, and quantitative research analyzing the effectiveness of the electronic platform that is used in teaching Arabic. By adopting data collection, analysis, description and interpretation of the effectiveness degrees of each platform, by distributing the electronic form via Google Form. It included a sample of Moroccan Arabic language teachers, from the various school: primary school, junior high school, and senior high school qualification courses according to the Moroccan education system. The results of the study, which included more than thirty Arabic teachers of male and female from different educational fields, showed a number of important statistics related to the different electronic platforms, and clarified their advantages and disadvantages.

This study aimed to find out the weakness of the students of Islamic Junior High School Darul Ma'arif Jakarta in learning qira>’ah, the lack of students who like qira>’ah lessons, and the weak ability of the students to understand Arabic language. This research also tried to know how to use text in Arabic in learning qira>’ah. This research was a quantitative research using the method of measurement between variables, namely the use of illustrations and interest in learning by using purposive sampling. Various research data were collected through interviews, direct observation, questionnaire division, and test implementation. This study showed that there was no influence of the use of illustration in Arabic text toward the students’ interest in learning qira>’ah.

Each child in the birth order has advantages and disadvantages, but the most often attracts attention in the family is the youngest child. The phenomenon found in the presence of younger children who lack the motivation of achievement, less independent, likes to seek the attention of others, and difficult to adapt in new environment and lack of willingness in taking responsibility. The type of this research is descriptive quantitative. Research subjects of all youngest children at Junior High School totaling 107 people. The results reveal that, (1) independence is generally in the category of less good; (2) adaptation in school is generally in very good category; (3) achievement motivation is generally in the less good category; and (4) responsibility in learning is generally in the good category.

AbstractChoosing good Arabic textbooks determines the quality of Arabic learning in the classroom . This paper aims to identify and compare the quality of the Arabic languagetext books at Islamic junior high school levelsseen from the aspect of content, presentation, language and graphic . The object of research is the book of  D Hidayat, Maman AbdulDjalil and A. Syaekhuddin and Hasan Saefullah . The results showed that all threeof the Arabic language textbooks have advantages and disadvantages . In general, theArabic text book work of A. Syaekhuddin and Hasan Saefullah is better than the othertwo books.

In a number of junior high schools based on the Islamic boarding school in Lhokseumawe city do not have Arabic teachers with educational backgrounds according to their fields of expertise, this will affect the professionalism of teachers in teaching Arabic subjects. The purpose of this study was to explain the leadership style of  principal’s Junior High School (MTsS) in carrying out their duties, to descripe the professionalism of  Arabic  Junior high School (MTsS) teachers in carrying out their duties and to know the influence of principal leadership style on the professionalism of  Arabic Junior High School teachers in Islamic boarding school in Lhokseumawe City. The method used  is a survey method with a quantitative approach, the sample is 27 respondents. Data analyzes using simple linear regression. The results showed that 81% (22 teachers) favored the principal's leadership style and 70% (19 Arabic language teachers) were able to develop their professional competencies. Simple linear regression test results show the significance value for the influence of  X on Y is 9,308> 2,055, thus there is a significant influence of school leadership on the professionalism of Arabic MTsS Islamic boarding School teachers in Lhokseumawe, then H0is rejected and Ha is accepted. From the data analysis it was found that the performance of  the MTsS Islamic Boarding School principals in Lhokseumawe was already good, the majority of school principals understood their managerial duties in managing schools and directing Arabic language teachers to improve their competence, but the level of teachers professionalism was not it is only influenced by external factors (principal's leadership) but is also greatly influenced by internal factors such as self-motivation and teacher competencies.

KTSP is the result of innovation from KBK. In the KTSP the teacher have to reach the professionalism of listening competence , speakng competence, reading competence, and writing competence, that supported with the creation of an active environment, creative, effective and fun. Islamic Junior High School of Tembilahan is one of the school that teach Arabic and implemented the KTSP but in the implementation there are some competencies that have not owned by their students. This is due to the background of Arabic language teachers who are not of Arabic language teacher education plus the background of the different students differently. This is because of the education background of the teacher was not from Arabic education and also the background of the students was different.

This study was motivated by the low score of the students‘ Indonesian language in national examination that were certainly correlated with the Indonesian language teachers‘ competences. The Indonesian language techers‘ competences can be observed in doing the Indonesian language proficiency test. This study was aimed to determine the Indonesian language teachers‘ capabilities indoing UKBI and to describe about it. The data obtained describe that the Indonesian language teachers of Senior High School (SMA) have the highest scores, then the Indonesian language teachers of Junior High School (SMP), and the last ones were the teachers of elementary school (SD). Moreover, among the Indonesian language techers‘ capabilities of SMA, SMP, and SD in doing UKBI have not shown the significant differences.AbstrakPenelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh rendahnya nilai Ujian Nasional (UN) bahasa Indonesia siswa yang tentunya berkorelasi dengan kompetensi guru bahasa Indonesianya. Kompetensi guru bahasa Indonesia dapat terlihat dari Uji Kemahiran Berbahasa Indonesia (UKBI). Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kemampuan guru bahasa dan sastra Indonesia di Pekanbaru dalam menyelesaikan soal UKBI dan untuk mendeskripsikan kemampuan guru dalam menyelesaikan soal UKBI. Dari penganalisisan data diperoleh temuan bahwa nilai rerata UKBI guru SMA memperoleh skor paling tinggi, nilai rerata UKBI guru SMP memperoleh skor sedang, sedangkan nilai rerata UKBI guru SD memperoleh skor paling rendah. Akan tetapi, kemampuan guru bahasa dan sastra Indonesia dari ketiga tingkatan sekolah tersebut (SMA, SMP, SD) dalam menyelesaikan soal UKBI tidak menunjukkan perbedaan yang berarti (tidak signifikan) pada taraf kepercayaan 5 %, hal ini terlihat dari nilai Fhitung lebih kecil dari Ftabel (Fhitung = 0,11 < Ftabel = 4,35)

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan rintisan bank soal Bahasa Inggris SMP kelas VIII pada tingkat provinsi dengan memperhatikan (1) karakteristik soal Ulangan Kenaikan Kelas (UKK); (2) karakteristik butir-butir soal; (3) jumlah butir soal yang memenuhi standar. Metode yang digunakan adalah pengembangan dengan pendekatan kuantitatif deskriptif. Sam-pel sebanyak 6554 respon siswa (lembar jawab). Perangkat tes dianalisis kesesuaian indikatornya dengan Standar Kompetensi (SK) dan Kompetensi Dasar (KD) yang telah ditentukan, serta ditelaah secara kualitatif oleh ahli berdasarkan kriteria kons-truksi, bahasa dan materi. Respons siswa dianalisis secara kuantitatif dengan Iteman 3.00, dan Bilog MG 3.0 3 PL untuk mendapatkan informasi tentang tingkat kesulitan, daya beda, pseudoguessing, serta informasi butir. Bank soal yang dihasilkan masuk kategori baik dilihat dari (1) Hasil analisis kualitatif dari 150 butir soal, sebanyak 105 butir soal (70%) dinyatakan baik. (2) Hasil analisis kuantitatif dengan program Iteman 3.00 diperoleh 115 butir soal tergolong baik. (3) Analisis dengan Bilog MG 3 PL 77 butir soal (66,96%) masuk kategori baik.Kata kunci: bank soal, tingkat kesulitan, daya beda, pseudo guessing, expert judgment, informasi butir dan tes______________________________________________________________ THE ITEM CHARACTERISTICS OF THE FINAL SEMESTER TEST AS A PREPARATION FOR ENGLISH ITEM BANKAbstract This research aims at developing a pilot english test item bank of the 2nd grade junior high school based on: (1) the characterisctics of test items for final semester test; (2) the total number of test items for the 2nd grade junior high school in Yogyakarta Special Province. This descriptive quantitative research used 6554 samples of students’ answer sheets in 2009 and also employs expert judgment to review the construct, language, as well as the materials of the questions. Students’ responses were also analyzed by using Iteman 3.00, Bilog MG 3.0 3 PL. The result of qualitative analysis with expert judgment which shows that 105 out of the 150 test items are categorized as “good”, and the other are “bad”. The quantitative analysis with Iteman 3.00 shows that 115 out of the 150 test items are categorized as “good” and the quantitative analysis with Bilog MG 3.00 3 PL shows that 67% test items are categorized as good. The media serves to direct students to gain various learning experiences. The aim of this study is to know the feasibility of interactive multimedia development in children' story of character education-based. Sources of data in this study were obtained from: 1) Respondents: 7th grade students of Junior High School Panca Budi Medan which amount to 23 students, 2) Informants: validators, students and Indonesian language teachers of Junior High School Panca Budi Medan. The results of the feasibility of learning media validation by instructional media design experts was declared "very good" The assessment of the content feasibility aspect was declared "very good" with a total average percentage of 91%. The assessment of the presentation feasibility was declared "very good" with a total average percentage of 83%. The assessment of the graphic feasibility was declared "good" with a total average percentage of 77%.

For muslims, Arabic language is more important than the other languages. One of the ways to understand Arabic is learn about it. Learning strategies have an important role in learning Arabic, including learning vocabulary. But, in reality Many students feel difficult to learn Arabic, especially in mastering mufradat and other materials. One of the reasons is the wrong process when studying mufradat. This paper describes the implementation of mind mapping strategy in learning Arabic vocabulary at Junior High School (SMP) Alam Banyuwangi. This study used a descriptive qualitative approach with three data collection techniques, namely observation, interviews, and documentation. The results showed that mind mapping strategy can help the teachers to solve the problem of learning Arabic, especially to improve students' mastery of Arabic vocabulary. Because mind maps use visual and sensory reminders in a pattern of related ideas. This map evokes original ideas and triggers memories easily.

In visitor studies, there has been some debate about the use of qualitative versus quantitative research methods. Many evaluators understand the advantages and disadvantages of both methods, but deciding on the most appropriate method can still be problematic. This article summarizes the tenets of both qualitative and quantitative methods and provides examples of visitor studies for each. It also reviews several research studies that have successfully used mixed methods to evaluate visitors.
