The Article substantiates the directions of developing the professional competence of the manpower of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine, and discloses the structure of the professional and psychological (personal) competence of a border guard: basic, particular and special competencies. According to the author, the basic competence is a set of knowledge in the field of: individual-typological features (temperament, character, emotional-volitional regulation, personal style of activities, cognitive style, peculiarities of memory and professional thinking, etc.), and protective and blocking systems that prevent the effective self-development. The particular psychological competence is the personality characteristic and includes understanding: one’s own strengths and weaknesses in the field of the personal-professional development, necessary professional and important qualities, zones of the professional self-determination, and means of the professional self-realization. The special social and psychological competence is included in the process of the personality further professionalization and mastery of professional skills at higher levels.The profiles of the professional competence of positions in the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine, developed with the direct participation of the author, have been presented.It is substantiated that the service and fighting activity of a border guard is an example of the professional activity, which is carried out in specific and extreme conditions, often associated with danger to life, and incorporates solving various service and fighting tasks. Each service and fighting task has its own psychological peculiarities conditioned by its content, terms of execution, composition of participants, predictable consequences, etc.In the study of the service and fighting activity, it is necessary to determine psychological preconditions for its successful implementation. They, in their turn, form the scale of requirements to the professional competence of a border guard.

In the article the author shows the peculiarities of the development of socio-professional maturity of the future pedagogue in the context of pedagogical acmeology. Therefore, there is an urgent need to optimize the process of professional training of future lecturers on the basis of a new methodology that would combine personal and professional development in the educational process, direct professional self-determination and self-improvement of the future specialist, promote their self-realization and professional development. We believe that the process of professional training of future pedagogues should be based on the developed acmeogram and professiogram, model the professional and personal development of the specialist in accordance with the content and objectives of professional activity. This will not only direct the process of professional training to a certain ideal model of the specialist, but also to actualize the professional self-determination and self-development of the future pedagogue.Key words: future pedagogue, activity, personality, self-determination, self-improvement, acmeology.

In the article the professional training of a future specialist is analyzed; development, self-development, self-determination and self-reflection are its main tasks. It is proved that reflection plays the synthesizing role and encourages the widening of the personality limits. The reflection essence is personality’s realizing oneself as a potential or a real subject of a particular professional activity. According to the lawyers’ professional training results this activity determines not only proper specifics of the attitude to a profession but one’s personal or social life. It has been justified that professional self-reflection is carried out as the initial professional self-determination of a personality and the series of professional choices. It is noted that the positive attitude to oneself encourages the positive attitude to the future and awareness of one’s abilities in achieving a goal is taking place on the conditions of a positive attitude to future. It has been proved that one of the main components influencing the formation of today’s specialist abilities in achieving success in professional activity and professional self-actualization is the high level of the formed professional self-consciousness. The model of professional self-reflection of a future specialist corresponds to the psychological structure of self-consciousness and it has three subsequent interconnected stages: professional self-knowing, self-attitude and self-regulation, the content of which is determined by peculiarities of professional activity of a specialist and requirements set by a personality to one’s professional knowledge, skills and professionally important qualities. It is emphasized that professional self-reflection specifies the understanding oneself as a subject of a particular professional activity and involves the availability of: the conscious process of forming one’s attitude to the professional-working sphere; self-assessment of one’s individual psychological qualities and comparing one’s abilities with psychological requirements to a profession; the constant search for senses in a professional activity; self-regulation of behavior carried out through correlation of inner-personal and social-professional needs and directed to reaching a set goal. It has been proved that reflection activity is an important condition of self-development of a personality, an indicator of personal and professional values and senses determining the culture of activity. Reflection activity is considered as one of the ways education modernization and a mechanism of independent development, search, discovery, creation or making a new product, constructing individual experience, experimental check of external impacts, stereotypes, activity patterns, self-development forecasting.

The article deals with the acmeological aspects of responsible behavior of a specialist in the sociological profile. The professionalism of a specialist in the sociological profile is the high level of development of professional competence, individual qualities and personality traits. Professionalism is an inalienable degree to its highest quality – the level of skill in a particular activity. A specialist in the sociological profile is a mature person by all means. Acmeology considers maturity as the ability to self-improvement (physical, moral, psychic, professional) by means of self-education, self-design, self-planning, self-organization and self-organization, self-control, self-correction by a person of his own activities. The main factor of creative development of a person (specialist of sociological profile), an indispensable condition for internal education, readiness for responsible and successful activity, e education. For all representatives of socio-economic occupations inherent desire to reach the peaks in their profession through self-development. In the course of self-development on the basis of professionalism, through the strategies of cooperation, responsibility is formed: oneself, close people, microsotsium, mesosotsium, macrosiums. Responsibility is programmed by certain actions. Professional responsibility is an acmeological invariant of the specialist of the «man-man» system. The article describes the types of professional and personal development: altercentered, conventional, dominant, and research (cognitivized). The professional ethics as a system of moral requirements for the professional activity of a person are analyzed. The categories of professional ethics are: professional duty, professional responsibility, professional conscience, professional honor, professional dignity, etc. The basis of professional compliance is the actual relationship between the result of professional activity (pragmatic and psychological) and its consequences for the individual and society. Professional deprivation implies a conscientious attitude to work. A professionally responsible specialist performs his professional duties in a qualitative way. A very important factor in the successful implementation of the professional activity of a specialist in the sociological field is his responsible professional behavior, in the process of formation of which considerable factors are acquired such factors as joy – gloom, pessimism – optimism, euphoria – wisdom.

Social and political transformations in the Ukrainian society cause significant changes in the nature of service and combat activities of units, rescue and search formations of State Emergency Service of Ukraine, and, hence, the process of training professionals able to protect and ensure the safety of every citizen, society in general and the state as a whole needs modernization. The quality of the relevant tasks performance largely depends on the level of professional competence and psychological readiness of specialists of State Emergency Service of Ukraine to work in the conditions of danger and risk. The specificity of the professional activity of rescuers lies primarily in the fact that in terms of its intensity and duration it goes beyond the optimal parameters and makes increased demands on their mental and physiological capabilities. At the same time, the operational and tactical tasks performed are implemented due to actions associated with a certain risk. The daily work of SES specialists is classified as «the one with special conditions,» i.e. as extreme, harmful to health, and risky. Taking it into account, the process of training the cadets at SES higher schools ought to cultivate their readiness to come to the aid of people in risky circumstances, to save lives, overcoming the unpredictable consequences of emergency situations. The essence of psychological readiness of future civil defense specialists to work in risky circumstances in the context of the specifics of their professional activity is considered. Its successful implementation requires from specialists not only the formation of specific professional knowledge, skills, and abilities to apply them quickly and accurately (competence), but also constant and extreme concentration, mobilization, vigilance, efficiency of thinking and of responding to events, confidence in the correctness of decisions, in the success of their own actions (professionally important qualities), as well as the state of emotional and volitional stability and actualization of their intellectual and personal potential in decisionmaking and direct activities in extreme situations, reflecting the connection with various aspects of personal regulation, including rationality (psychological readiness). The authors give grounds for the necessity of introducing into the educational process of higher educational institutions of the State Emergency Service the pedagogical system of formation of cadets’ readiness for professional activity and the expediency of creating appropriate psychological and pedagogical conditions for increasing the effectiveness of this process (continuous improvement of the pedagogical skills of the teaching staff; active use of innovative service and combat experience of fire and rescue formations; improving psychological training by modeling stressors that affect personnel in hazardous circumstances and extreme situations; taking into account the individual psychological characteristics of cadets; moral and material stimulation of cadets ‘activity in ordinary and, especially, in extreme situations related to risk to life), aimed at ensuring their optimal preparedness to work in risky (extreme) circumstances.

The article discusses the features of professional self-determination of Medical University students of the 1st and 6th courses. A set of experimental psychological methods was used: the method of «Un-finished phrases» which reveals the attitude of medical students to their future profession; questionnaire aimed at assessing the importance of personal qualities in the doctor’s work (students’ opinion); diagnostic technique of value orientations in career «Career anchors». It is revealed that the freshmen have an idealized view of medical practice; graduates’ perception of the medical profession includes communication skills to interact with the patient, they are aware of the impact of their personal properties and needs for the professional activity. Learning process, observing elder colleagues’ interaction with patients and experience of working in health care facilities affect on the development of students’ professional self-determination. In the process of training and education of medical students it’s necessary, given the importance of career orientation «service», to complete its with realistic content, as it is one of the motivating factors for the development of professional competence and further self-determination of a doctor.

In the article the results of an empirical research of the professional focus of psychological well-being of the personnel of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine are represented. The author's position on the content of the phenomenon of psychological well-being of the border guards is to study it as a holistic global subjective reflexive experiencing of the border guards of the positivity and significance of their own «I-existence» as a whole and through the prism of their life in the environment of professional activity, representing an integrated assessment of professional life, positive affections in relation to the work performed, the organizational environment and, consequently, life in general, and, secondly, as a subjective experiencing-living of situational experience in the context of professional activity as a harmonious combination of efforts to accomplish work, achieved goals and profits (rewards, recognition, prospects, etc.). The peculiarities of manifestation of indicators of professional focus of psychological well-being, which promote the growth of psychological well-being of border guards (professional self-acceptance, satisfaction professional achievements, professional development, availability of professional goals, satisfaction level of competence, positive relations in the community, autonomy in professional work, professional growth, subjective assessment and experience of professional demand, the attitude of other people (colleagues, leadership, etc.), self-assessment, self-rating of personal growth, professional credibility, evaluation of professional activities, serving as an opportunity to further the work of the ideals and values self-efficacy, belonging to a professional community satisfaction with the implementation of professional capacity, professional competence, self in the profession, self-esteem, a conscious choice of challenges and their solving and overcoming obstacles for the sake of victory, stability in work, self-confidence, self-affirmation, orientation towards the integration of the efforts of oneself and others people and responsible for the final result of professional identity and the needs for recognition and self-improvement) and indicators that reduce to lower psychological well-being of border guards (self-abasement, internal conflict as an objective professional self-attitude inconsistency professional requirements and individual capabilities and resources of border guards, self-prosecution, stability of residence, the need for social contacts as a desire to work in a team, to communicate with a lot of people, belief and close ties with colleagues) are ascertained.

Professionalism of the teacher in educating modern generations of the society is considered as a number of the teacher’s competences providing the efficiency of his professional performance. Being an integrated phenomenon consisting of a numerous aspects to be taken into consideration, the teacher’s readiness to the professional activity must be objectively evaluated by school authorities, education executives, local councils, and finally the government. The article focuses on the peculiarities of evaluation of teachers’ professional performance in Greece and Ukraine. A key condition for the successful implementation of an evaluation system is the establishment of a relationship of trust between the state and teachers because without it any attempt is doomed to inactivity and in the end to be rejected. The evaluation system must clarify and prove that the purpose of the evaluation will be to improve the education provided to Greek citizens and will suggest the proposals for the successful implementation of the educational policy. It has been proved that the purpose of the evaluation is to improve the education provided to citizens and suggests the proposals for the successful implementation of the educational policy in both countries under consideration. There have been analyzed the teacher’s professional portfolio as one of the effective ways of confirming the pedagogical professional qualification in Ukraine. It has been grounded that a key condition for the successful implementation of an evaluation system is the establishment of a relationship of trust between the state and teachers.

The article presents an analysis of the problem of the formation of professional competencies as the basis of students’ professional self-determination. Attention is paid to comprehending the aspects of the competence-based approach in professional education, which was developed in foreign practice and introduced into the Russian educational paradigm and acquires specificity in the space of interaction with Russian scientific psychological and pedagogical traditions. The article describes the components of professional competence, comprehends the important points of professional self-determination of students, and presents the main tasks of psychological and pedagogical support of the process of professional self-determination of students. A person in the reflexive-value space of his professional self-determination can become the author of personal self-development and consciously transform his professional biography. However, it is important to understand that this process is largely determined by the external circumstances of life, economic, political, social conditions. In this regard, it is necessary to note the importance of the educational space, the activity of teachers, who by their activity create certain psychological and pedagogical conditions for the professional self-determination of students.

The article summarizes the arguments and counter-arguments within the scientific discussion on regulating the development of professional competence of trade workers, as the transformation processes taking place in the context of globalization and European integration put forward new requirements for personnel management at micro and macro levels. This is due to the fact that in the conditions of market development, the most significant transformations take place in the social and labor spheres. The main purpose of the article is to study the state and trends of trade in the context of ensuring the professional competence of employees. Systematization of literature sources and approaches to solving the problem of professional competence of trade workers shows that Ukrainian and foreign scientists have studied professional competence, but in modern conditions, there is a need for critical analysis of trade status and trends in the context of professional competence. The study of this issue was carried out in the following logical sequence: determining the results, forming the main tasks and areas of research on the main indicators of trade, and identifying trends in trade in the context of ensuring the professional competence of employees. The methodological tools of the study include the system of economic laws, concepts, and categories, and the fundamental provisions of modern economic theory and applied economics. An abstract-logical complex approach and methods of analysis and synthesis are the general methodological basis of the research. The trade indicators and trends in their development constitute the object of the study as they contribute to ensuring the professional competence of workers in this industry. The article examines the indicators of the condition and trends of trade and their impact on ensuring the professional competence of employees. The demand for specialties that can be realized in the longer professional activity in trade is investigated. A characterological table of general and professional competencies of management staff and salespeople depending on positions is developed.
