The article reveals the peculiarities of the use of athletics to improve the physical fitness of students of higher education institutions. The influence of physical education on motivation for athletics is also revealed. It is established that the use of means and methods of athletics in physical education classes in higher education institutions leads to a significant increase in the level of physical fitness. It was found that one of the factors influencing the growth of student morbidity and low level of their physical development is the lack of physical activity. The combination of these factors determines the level of physical fitness and efficiency, which, in turn, are important indicators of professional training of students. However, the use of other methods of strength development, the method of unsatisfactory efforts with a normalized number of repetitions, the method of unsatisfactory efforts with the maximum number of repetitions, the method of dynamic efforts, the shock method, the method of static efforts, the static-dynamic method, the method of circular training, the game method has a beneficial effect on the development of all physical qualities. The decrease in the indicators of general physical fitness is facilitated by the fact that during the holidays, students practically do not go in for sports on their own. As the analysis of the survey has shown, only students of higher educational institutions are independently engaged in physical culture.

Physical education is a course taught in school that focuses on developing physical fitness and the ability to perform and enjoy day to day physical activities with ease. Kids also develop skills necessary to participate in a wide range of activities such as cricket, basketball or swimming.Regular physical education classes prepare kids to be physically and mentally active, fit and healthy. Physical education helps students develop physical skills and confidence. They would be expected to journal about how they feel during the process and reflect on how these changes affect performance and mood.Physical education also helps students develop social skills. For example, team sports help them learn to respect others, contribute to a team goal, and socialize as a productive member of a team. This Study is to prove that there is a direct correlation between physical activity and the overall development of the child. It is to prove that there is a systematic, scientific improvement in the cognitive, emotional, social skills and also improvement in Health when physical education is implemented in the Childs day to day programme. The curriculum of physical education possesses a body of knowledge which is basic to health and fitness that leads to a fine living. It has a core of activity skill and technique in its content. We are living in a world layered in technology and convince.Physical Education is so important for our future because it is one of the best natural and pure means we have to promote and foster play and purpose for our children. Children need it more than we know and technology is slowly eating away at something we might never get back. Physical Education's purpose is to preserve the foundational history of health, fitness, and to allow our youth to develop into people with strong intrapersonal skills, core values, and respect and understanding of a healthy mind/body connection. With physical education being a crucial need especially for children, it should be implemented in all the educational organization. To make sure that it is implemented,it has to be a part of the curriculum.Certain norms have to be implemented to make sure PE is a part of the academic curriculum.Regular assessments will be helpful to work on the improvement of the Childs physical as well as overall development

Background. Nowadays, an urgent social problem in sovereign Kazakhstan, which defines the strategy of social development of our society, is upbringing a new person developed spiritually, morally and physically. Physical fitness  of  primary  school  learners  as  a  sphere  of  scientific-pedagogical  knowledge  in  Kazakhstan  Republic  has not been fully researched. It conditioned the problem of our investigation – to substantiate theoretically and work out the methodology of optimization of physical fitness development for primary school learners in PE lessons. Theoretical analysis of scientific works suggests that physical fitness of primary school learners as a sphere of scientific-pedagogical knowledge has not been fully investigated. Despite the diversity of issues and theoretical as well as practical pedagogical research, it should be noted that the problem of physical fitness of primary school learners using sport games in PE lessons is still open for theoretical consideration and experimental research.Research aim was to define the most effective methodology of physical fitness of 8–9 year- old boys in PE lessons using elements of football in general education schools. Methods. All in all there were 102 boys. They were divided into 4 groups – 3 experimental groups and 1 control group. During the experiment, 75% of time for teaching technical actions of football was devoted for group E1 ,  for E2 – 50%, and for E3 – 25%; for physical fitness –25, 50 and 75% respectively. During the experiment, with the help of methods given above, we covered the following aspects: physical development, general physical fitness, special fitness.Results. Analyzing the increase in overall physical fitness for the whole period of the experiment, we observed a significant increase in all of the surveyed groups (p  < .05–.001). All the tested groups were approximately of the same level. Conclusions. The study showed that the best option for physical training for primary school children in physical education classes in comprehensive schools was to have 75% of the total lesson time to the development of physical fitness and 25% of the lesson time  – to technical training (program C). Physical education classes with elements of football contribute to more intense dynamics of indicators of general and special training of 8–9-year-old boys. Analysis of the studied parameters of fitness and technique of playing football has shown that methods of education and physical qualities of technical preparation, which was given to the third experimental group, contributed to the development of better skills in football. Keywords: physical education lessons, physical, technical fitness, football.

A continual pressure within the educational system in Indonesia to focus on high levels of academic achievement is a major barrier to implementing an effective physical education curriculum in Indonesia. The conflict between the implementation of a movement based approach (MBA) and a sport based approach (SBA) presents another continuing problem. The current approach leads more to an orientation towards the acquisition of sport skills rather than the attainment of objectives of cognitive development. This study is aimed to reveal the association between the physical fitness and academic achievement of children in Sumedang, West Java. Four physical fitness test items and a specially constructed mathematics test were administered to 265 children from grades four and five. The ability of performance on the physical fitness tests to predict performance in mathematics was calculated by linear multipleregression analysis. The findings revealed that there was a significant association, although low, between the physical fitness components and mathematics achievement. Sit ups and squat jumps showed low partial correlations and the relationships for push ups and the 400 metre run were negative Limitations in the ability of the children to perform the tests were suggested as an explanation for the mixed results. It was argued that this weakness served to emphasise the importance of giving greater priority to physical education and the quality of its teaching within the school curriculum.
