The process of forming and developing an Islamic community in Indonesia first went through various contacts, including buying and selling contracts, marriage contacts and direct da'wah contacts, both individually and collectively. From these various kinds of contacts, the process of Islamic education and teaching takes place, although in a simple scope. The process of developing Islamic education policies can then be seen through history based on the implementation of Islamic education policies that previous communities have carried out. This research was conducted using a qualitative approach with secondary data. The study results show that there are differences in curriculum and goals in Islamic education at each time. This is because the community's needs at these times are different from each other to produce different Islamic education policies.

Strategies employed by the teacher of PAI (Islamic education) thus have an important role in establishing students’ personality, especially with regard to their religious character.

Education in Islam covers the entire dimension of a Muslim's life. Bothdimensions ilahiyyahrelate to their relationship to God, or the dimensions of insaniyyah in relation to other human beings, as well as the dimensions of kauniyyah in relation to the universe. So the educational material in Islam is also very broadly covering the three dimensions, which are largely the subject of Aqidah, Ibadah, Morals, Languages and Literature, Science and Technology. Islamic education is entirely sourced and based on the Qur'an and the Sunnah. Given that its main source is the Qur'an and the Sunnah, then a necessity to study and understand the language used by both sources is Arabic. In Indonesia as the world's largest Muslim population, Arabic is one of the mandatory subject material in the national curriculum for Islamic education institutions, while for public education institutions as the subject matter of choice. But of course in the course of learning it encounters obstacles and difficulties as well as challenges, where Arabic is a foreign language morning Indonesian people. This research is a library research (Library Research) that is equipped with data from the field. The data collected are from the literature or from the informants related to this theme. The author describes the data through the deskreptive method and then draws conclusions that the undertaking is done objectively and systematically. The results show that the obstacles and challenges faced by Islamic educational institutions in Indonesia are quite diverse, but they still have similarities between one institution and another, so they can be grouped into the following major points: (1) politically problematic ; (2) problematic in sociological terms; (3) problematic in terms of methodology. But despite the many challenges and obstacles faced, but all of that can be an opportunity to develop Arabic language learning at Islamic educational institutions in Indonesia.

Through the frame of character education theory, the data analyzed using the stages of reduction, presentation, and drawing conclusions. Apparently, Aswaja An-Nahdliyyah's character education at MTs. Miftahul Huda Bulungan Pakis Aji Jepara was developed through teaching the value of tawassuth, tawazun, tasamuh and i'tidal. The implementation as culture of madrasa, such as the obligation to pray before starting the lesson, orderly running pickets, praying dzuhur in congregation, wearing school uniforms, preserving ancestral culture, familiarizing greetings, sympathetic care routinely for yatama and dhuafa, maintaining the cleanliness of the madrasa environment, and a ban on littering the classroom walls. The limitation of this study has specific scope. That is the focus on strengthening religious moderateism in Islamic educational institutions which are under the shelter of the LP. Maarif NU Jepara Regency. There are still gaps for other researchers to conduct development research outside of that scope.

This paper contains the psychology orientation of Islamic education. Each education level is different in how to educate and how to overcome the problems that occur, the age of the kindergarden is different from elementary school age, as well as elementary schools are different teaching systems with secondary schools, and also level schools. middle school is different in how to teach and how to deal with the problem with upper level schools. All levels have a phase that must be passed as an educator, if the wrong application results in misorientation, or lose direction. So that education is only a formality without any spirit that shapes the ethics of students to become human beings who are desired by Islamic education itself. The success of education depends on the initial orientation of the establishment of an educational institution. Where students will be taught at the institution. There is a lot of moral degradation in education because the empty psychology orientation of Islamic education in educational institutions, if there is an Islamic name is only a label without content, if from the beginning the educational institution has lost its orientation.
