This paper investigates the quality of inkjet printing on corrugated cardboard with various characteristics such as the presence of surface coating, the type of cardboard structure, the corrugated layer profile, and the corrugated cardboard height. The color characteristics of the corrugated board surface of studied samples were analyzed in the CIE Lab system; the value of the discrepancy in the shade of white was established when compared with the reference values of the ISO 12647 standard. During the study, the main criteria for assessing the quality of color reproduction of inkjet imprints were analyzed: an indicator of the general contrast level (K), the value of color differences for the basic tone shades (ΔE), and the volume of the body color coverage (ΔE2). It was found that when printing on various types of corrugated cardboard, there is a general decrease in the overall contrast value. The actual level of color differences is ΔE=10...45 and exceeds the permissible standards for the color reproduction quality. This adversely affects the reproduction of different color tones in the printed image. In general, the quality of color reproduction differs for the test samples of corrugated cardboard in terms of the magnitude of the spread in the values of color distortions on the tone shades. The influence of the main characteristics of the investigated samples of corrugated cardboard on the quality indicators of inkjet printing has been analyzed. In particular, a significant influence of the index of color characteristics of the surface of corrugated cardboard L* and the type of corrugated board structure on the quality of color reproduction has been established. The study results reported here could make it possible to reasonably approach the selection of the corrugated board structure that is optimal in composition, increase the productivity of the technological process for manufacturing containers, and stabilize the quality of printing on corrugated cardboard

The aim of this research is to investigate related effect of dyeability to linen textiles related to different printing parameters. The study investigated the change in color characteristics when printing on linen fabrics with an inkjet MIMAKI Tx400-1800D printer with pigmented TP 250 inks. The dependence of color reproduction on linen fabrics on the number of print head passes, number of ink layers to be coated, linen fabric density, and different types of linen fabric was investigated. All this affects the quality of print and its mechanical properties. The change in color characteristics on different types of linen fabrics was determined experimentally. We determine at which print settings the most accurate color reproduction can be achieved on different linen fabrics. The difference between the highest and the lowest possible number of head passages was investigated. The possibilities of reproducing different linen fabric colors were determined.

The In-Mold Roller is a revolutionary printing process by which objects are 3D decorated. Products decorated by In-Mold Roller are waterproof and protected from fading. What’s more, these kinds of decorations strongly increase the beauty, desirability and value of the objects. The In-Mold Roller is now using either of gravure printing and screen printing to print PET film. However, there are some problems with these two techniques. This research is to investigate potential usages of combining In-Mold Roller with digital UV inkjet printing in 3D decoration, e.g. in personalized printing services. Study results found that when the coverage and the resolution of inkjet printing become higher, the SIDs will become higher as well. When transferred to ABS, SIDs in each combination will increase. Each combination of inkjet conditions, with the isolation of white ink, color differences are less variant. TVIs of white ink decrease 30% to 40% halftone and display in “M” type. In print contrast, C and K colors of each combination are better than M and Y colors. After transferred into print contrast, each combination of PC will be higher about 2 to5. When transferred to ABS, color variances of each combination are not huge, and color differences are about 3to5.

IMR can print out excellent textures and effects on irregular surfaces. Many products decorated by IMR are protected from water and fading, and these kinds of decorations strongly increase beauty, desirability and value of the objects. Therefore, this research is to investigate the potential use of combining IMR with UV inkjet printing and to compare color variance of IMR between PET coated and uncoated white ink. Study results show that the SIDs of PET with white ink is higher about 0.15 to 0.2 than the PET without white ink. The SIDs of PET without white ink will decrease and the SIDs of the PET with white ink will increase when transferred. The PC of PET without white ink is about 10 to 15 higher than the PET with white ink. After transferred, the Color Gamut became smaller than before. Especially for the PET without white ink, its color differences △E can reach 40. In addition, the color gamut became smaller when transferred.

Cattle that have high body weight and low cholesterol production will improve the quality of local male duck meat products in West Sumatra. The purpose of this study was to see the response of local ducks, especially male ducks that were given African Leaf Flour in their rations, to body weight and blood cholesterol content. Because the cholesterol content of foodstuffs greatly determines consumer demand. This research was conducted from 12 September 2020 to 24 December 2020. The treatment that will be given is the use of African Leaf Flour of 5 levels (0%; 0.5%; 1.0%; 1.5% and 2.0%). To see the effect of the treatment, an experimental design was used, namely CRD (completely randomized design), each of which was repeated four times. The sample used was 80 male ducks kept for six weeks (4-10 weeks). The study results illustrate that the increase of African Leaf Flour given will increase the body weight gain (PBB) of ducks, with an increase in PBB of 23.59% in the use of African Leaf Flour 2.0%. Likewise, the Feed Conversion Ratio (FCR) was significantly better (P0.05). Meanwhile, blood HDL content tended to increase along with the increase in the provision of African Leaf Flour. The use of African Leaf Flour up to a level of 2.0% can improve the quality of local duck meat because it results in higher meat production and improves cholesterol content to create a healthy source of animal food, thereby reducing consumer hesitation to consume.

The primary purpose of this work is to study the heat stress on the quality of sperm production in boars of different breeds (Large White, Landrace, Duroc, Maxgro). The authors found that heat stress affects the activity of pigs. The desire to reduce heat production leads to sedentary, passive animals, accompanied by decreased appetite, shortness of breath and inhibition of sexual reflexes in individuals. Against this background, the disturbances arising in the body, reinforced by a local increase in scrotal temperature, harm semen quality. The authors observed a tendency for decreased ejaculate volume and a decrease (statistically significant in most breeds) in the sperm concentration in the ejaculate by 11.47-34.96%. But at the same time, the organoleptic values (colour, consistency, smell) did not change. Heat stress hurts the fertility of pigs, reducing the probability of successful embryo implantation. The fertility of sow inseminated with semen from boars during heat stress decreased by 10.3-23.7%. And also, the fertility of the sow did not reach pre-stress levels until the end of the observation. Based on the study results, the authors found that, depending on the breed, pigs can tolerate heat stress in a more severe or milder form. The species Large White and Maxgro are less sensitive to increased ambient temperature (they had fewer changes in general condition, semen and fertility) than Duroc and Landrace pigs.

Paper for recycling is an important fiber source for the production of corrugated base paper. The change in production capacity toward more and more packaging papers affects the composition of paper for recycling and influences the paper quality. This research project investigated the influence of the multiple recycling of five different corrugated base papers (kraftliner, neutral sulfite semichemical [NSSC] fluting, corrugating medium, testliner 2, and testliner 3) on suspension and strength properties under laboratory conditions. The corrugated board base papers were repulped in a low consistency pulper and processed into Rapid-Köthen laboratory sheets. The sheets were then recycled up to 15 times in the same process. In each cycle, the suspension and the paper properties were recorded. In particular, the focus was on corrugated board-specific parameters, such as short-span compression test, ring crush test, corrugating medium test, and burst. The study results indicate how multiple recycling under laboratory conditions affects fiber and paper properties.

The article focuses on the process of intensive mixing of liquid phase in the tin during high-temperature sterilization, i.e. sterilization when temperature of the heat carrier reaches 150-160°C. It has been stated that for intensification of the thermal process during sterilization of tinned fish with liquid filling it is preferable to turn a tin from bottom to top. This operation helps to increase the driving power of the process and to shorten warming time. Besides, high-temperature sterilization carried out according to experimental modes, where the number of tin turnovers is calculated, greatly shortens processing time and improves quality of the product. In this case there is no superheating, all tins are evenly heated. The study results will contribute to equipment modernization and to preserving valuable food qualities.

Studying mechanisms, which maintain the body homeostasis, is particularly important in the conditions of continuous impact of adverse environmental and manufacturing factors. Long-term exposure to fluorides leads to chronic fluoric intoxication, the pathogenesis of which is a subject of multiple controversy and discussions. Not enough attention is still paid to elucidating the visceral pathology associated with fluorine-induced immune disorders. There are virtually no studies of immune reactions that define the morphofunctional nature of the liver response to early stages of fluoric intoxication. Aim. To study pathophysiological mechanisms of hepatic immune reactivity in subchronic exposure of the body to fluorine compounds. Methods. Experiments were performed on 210 male rats weighing 180-220 g. The animals were divided into two groups: 1) control (n=80) and 2) subchronic exposure to sodium fluoride (n=130). The rats had free access to a 10 mg/l aqueous solution of sodium fluoride (daily dose, 1.2 mg/kg body weight) for 12 weeks. Blood was withdrawn from the caudal vein at 1, 3, 6, 9, and 12 weeks of the experiment for immunological and biochemical tests. Histological study of the liver was performed after decapitation of rats under ether anesthesia. Results. The subchronic exposure to sodium fluoride was associated with intracellular and intravascular damage of the liver. Activation of inflammatory mediators and development of immunological disorders during the experiment contributed to a systemic inflammatory reaction, which resulted in persistent morphological injuries of the liver and changes in enzyme activities in major metabolic pathways. Conclusion. The study results can be used for development and implementation of preventive measures against the effects of high fluorine concentrations, which would include a successive use of detoxification, immunomodulation and organ protection.
