This study aims to investigate of implementation of Steller application to improve students’ writing Descriptive text and students’ responses about Steller application in writing Descriptive text. This study employed Classroom Action Research (CAR) method proposed by Kemmis and McTaggart (1998, cited in Burns, 2009). This research consisted of two cycles and each cycle consisted of four steps, they were: planning, actin, observation, and reflection. Each cycle was conducted in two meetings. To collect and analyze the data, the researcher used observation, questionnaire, and test. The result of this research shows that using Steller application in learning writing Descriptive text can improve students’ writing Descriptive text. The improvement of students’ writing Descriptive text also supported by the achievement of students’ test score. The students’ mean score of pre cycle test was 63.32, the mean score of test in cycle 1 was 73.58 and the mean score of test in cycle 2 was 79.19. it means that score test of cycle 1 was higher than pre cycle test and score test of cycle 2 was higher than mean score of test in cycle 1. The students’ responses showed that they were interested in learning writing Descriptive txt, because it was easier for them to write, it increased their motivation in learning, and Steller application game the students easy steps to write Descriptive text. Therefore it can be concluded that the implantation of Steller application improves students’ writing Descriptive text significantly at tenth grade of SMA Pasundan Cikalongkulon Cianjur.

This study aims to develop learners’ speaking skill at tenth grade of SMK Budi Bakti Utama through Demonstration Technique in procedure text. This research is a Classroom Action Research based on Kurt Lewin’ design. This CAR done in two cycle. Every cycle consist of four phases (planning, acting, observing and reflecting). The data were gathered through qualitative and quantitative, namely interview, observation, pretest, posttest and questionnaire. The researcher found that demonstration Technique in teaching procedural text was succes to increase the learners’ speaking ability. It is concluded from the learners score. Where, before implementing CAR the mean score was 53.48 and only 6 learners from 33 learners passed the KKM. Then, after implementing CAR the mean score was better became 75.21 and there are 27 learners passed the KKM.

This research aims to improve students’ memory in learning geometry using Macromedia Flash Animation of grade X at SMA Negeri 3 Banda Aceh. It is classroom action research consisted of 2 cycles and using the worksheets. Geometry test was given after formative test and students’ responses questionnaire in learning. At the end of the research, it shows that (1) in first cycle that the average post-test score is 76.5 and at the second cycle is 80.1;(2) The Formative score test is 73.4; (3) students attitudes and responses towards learningmathematics by using Macromedia Flash are: (a) It was easy to memorize Mathematics instructional in first cycle is 80.77% and at the second cycle is 86, 15%, (b). Students could easily understand Mathematics instructional in first cycle is 65.38% and second cycle is 80.77% and (c) Students were active in group learning activities is 92.31% in first cycle and 100% in the second cycle.

AbstractAs a foreign language, English language is not easy to study by students in every grade. Many students cannot understand their materials because they have perception that studying English is very difficult for them. Writing is one of important components in language skills. On the other hand, it is considered difficult by learners including the students of SMA N 1 Sedayu especially class X IIS 3. The students’ writing achievement was still low. To solve this problem, the researcher did the classroom action research. The objectives of this research are describing the improvement of students’ writing skill through recount text using picture series, analyzing the students’ interests in writing skill through recount text using picture series, and finding out how far the improvement of the students using picture series in writing skill through recount text. This research involved 32 students from tenth grade of SMA N 1 Sedayu. In this research, to get the data researcher gave questionnaires, did observation, interview and tests. A classroom action research was used in this research to overcome student’s problem in writing skill. The mean in pre-test and post-test showed a different number. The mean of the pre-test was 61.7 which was still low score because the KKM is 75. Afterwards, the researcher conducted the next treatment, then did post-test and the mean of the students’ score was increased into 77,7. Besides, students also showed different interest in their learning English especially English writing skill.

The purpose of this study is to measure the improvement of the students' writing skills on poetry by implementing quantum learning strategy at tenth-grade of MAN 1 Kota Serang. The research question is stated as follows: (1) can quantum learning strategy improve students’ writing skill on poetry at tenth-grade of MAN I Kota Serang? (2) how it can be implemented to improve students’ writing skills on poetry at tenth-grade of MAN I Kota Serang. The researcher used classroom action research as its method. The pre-activity result shows that the average scores of students writing is 57.44. This result, then, tried to be improved by using quantum learning strategy. Since quantum learning is implemented, the mean of students’ scores in cycle 1 improves 13.38% into 66.32. Since the score is still lower than ideal score, which is 75, the research is continued to cycle 2. The result in cycle 2 shows the improvement of students’ score into 77.74, or improves 14.68% from cycle 1. This result proves that quantum learning strategy can improve students’ writing skill on poetry.

<p>This research was conducted to find out whether structural analysis can improve the students’ vocabulary and how significant the use of structural analysis improves the students’ vocabulary of class A first semester students of Business English and Management Concentration. This research was classroom action research which was done in two cycles. Field note and test were used as the instrument of data collecting. The data of the students’ pre-test and progress-test score were analyzed by using mean score and the data of observation was analyzed descriptively. The finding of this research was the students’ vocabulary was improved from the pre-test and the progress test of the first and second cycle. The mean score of the pre-test is 44.0. Then, the mean score of the first students’ progress test was 62.8, and 70.5 for the second progress test. And the result from the field note supported the finding of the test that was the students’ vocabulary improved from the first cycle to the second cycle after giving the treatment by the researcher.<br />Key words: improving, vocabulary, structural analysis, classroom action research.</p>

This Collaborative Classroom Action Research aimed at enhancing students’ speaking skill through the application of Circle Game. It was conducted in one cycle consisting of two meetings. The subject was the seventh of C class of SMPN 2 Alas Barat consisting of 22 students. The types of data were qualitative (acquiring observation during the learning process) and quantitative (speaking tests). The results qualitatively showed that the implementation of Circle Game enhanced the students’ speaking skills. Such improvement could be seen from their enthusiasm, their interesting feeling in various materials presented by the teacher, their active involvement. In the quantitative findings, the result also showed a higher value of the mean score of the post-test (77.34) rather than the pre-test (75.75). In conclusion, the use of Circle Game can improve students’ speaking skill.

This study presents a research report on improving students’ Learning results on IPA through Video. The objective was to find out whether students’ learning result improved when they are taught by using Video. It was conducted using classroom action research method. The subject of the study was the Grade IV students of SDN 187/IV Kota Jambi which is located on Jln. Adi Sucipto RT 05 Kecamatan Jambi Selatan, and the number of the students were 21 persons. The instruments used were test. In analyzing the data, the mean of the students’ score for the on fisrt sycle was 65,4 (42,85%) and the mean on cycle two was 68,5 (37,15%) and the mean of the third cycle was 81,4 (100%). Then it can be concluded that the use of video on learning IPA can improve the students’ learning result. It is suggested that teachers should use video as one of the media to improve students’ learning result on IPA.Keywords : IPA, students’ learning result, video

This study attempts to Improving Students’ Achievement Through the Process GenreApproach. The objective of the study is to discover whether the use of the ProcessGenre approach could significantly improve students’ writing achievement. This studyconduct by applying Classroom Action Research which was carried out in two cycles inten meetings. The subject of this study of SMA Panca Budi Medan which consisted of39 students of class X – 2 reguler.. Orientation test was done in the first meeting, test IIwas done in the fourth meeting, and test III was done in the last meeting. The mean ofstudents’ score test III (76,242) was higher than the test II (66,878) and test I (57,606).Besides, the qualitative data was taken from observation sheet, interview, questionnaire,and diary notes. It was found that teaching learning process ran well. By applying theProcess Genre Approach in the classroom, the students understood the content ofdescriptive text easily. They also were active and enthusiastic during the teachinglearning process. The result of the research showed that the application of the ProcessGenre approach significantly improved students’ achievement in writing descriptive text

This study deals with the way to improve students’ achievement in speaking particularly through Two Stay Two Stray Strategy. This study was conducted by using classroom action research. The subject of of the research was class X-AP SMK Swasta Harapan Danau Sijabut in Asahan Regency that consisted of 34 students. The research was conducted in two cycles consisted of three meetings in each cycle. The instruments of collecting data for quantitative data used Speaking Test and instrument for analysis of qualitative data used observation, interview and questionnaire sheet. Based on the speaking test score, students’ score kept improving in every test. In the test I the mean was 61,47, in the test II the mean was 67,41 and the test III the mean was 78,52. Based on observation sheet and questionnaire sheet, it was found that teaching learning process run well and lively. Students were active and interest in speaking. The using of Two Stay Two Stray Strategy is significantly improved students’ achievement in speaking.

This study attempts to increase students’ vocabulary achievement by using flash cards. The objective of the study is to investigate whether the using of flash card can improve students’ vocabulary achievement. This study conduct by applying Classroom Action Research which was carried out in two cycles in six meetings. The subject of this study of SD Negeri 174559 Siraituruk, Porsea which consisted of 34 students. For collecting data, the instruments used were quantitative (vocabulary test) and qualitative data (interview sheet, observation sheet, and diary notes. Based on the data, it was found that the mean of the second cycle (80, 44) is higher than the mean of first cycle (64, 85) and pre-test (44, 41).  Based on interview sheet, observation sheet and diary notes, it was found thee students were more active and more enthusiastic during the teaching learning process in the second cycle than the first one. It was concluded that teaching vocabulary by using  flash cards can improve the students’ vocabulary achievement.
