With China’s entry into WTO, China’s trade in higher education services has developed rapidly. In addition to the highly developed economy, the broad market prospect has attracted more and more foreign students. However, China’s current trade in higher education services is still at the initial stage of development, showing an obvious trade deficit. From the perspective of international comparison, this study combs the development process of education service trade in major developed countries, summarizes the general rules and basic modes of its development, discusses various factors that affect the competitiveness of its national education service trade, thus analyzing the development characteristics and international competitiveness of education service trade in major developed countries, and summarizing the relevant experience and enlightenment of the development of education service trade in major developed countries. On this basis, the current situation of China’s higher education service trade is comprehensively combed, the main problems existing in China’s higher education service trade are analyzed, and reasonable ways to improve the competitiveness of China’s higher education service trade are put forward from aspects of perfecting the legislative content of higher education service trade, formulating development plans and policies, and strengthening the construction of education service institutions themselves.

The article presents the status of trade activities between Vietnam and ASEAN. Based on se on ry t olle te from ASEAN’s St tisti s and the General Statistics Office of Vietnam, the article aims to highlight the current practice of goods export and import between Vietnam and ASEAN in the period 1995-2015, such as trade turnover, main import/export commodities and trade market between Vietnam and ASEAN. Results show that Vietnam and ASEAN have made remarkable achievements in the period 1995-2015. However, Vietnam has been experiencing trade deficit with ASEAN. On this basis, the article proposes a number of recommendations to improve the efficiency of trade activities between Vietnam and ASEAN.

Politicians frequently issue public threats to manipulate tariffs but only sometimes follow through. This behavior theoretically ought to generate audience costs. We therefore test the validity of audience costs in trade war settings through a vignette-based survey experiment. The vignettes describe a hypothetical situation involving the U.S. and a second country (China, Canada, or unspecified) with whom the U.S. has a trade deficit. The president (Democrat, Republican, or unspecified) either maintains the status quo, threatens to impose tariffs and backs down, or threatens to impose tariffs and follows through. Our findings highlight differences between security and trade conflict when it comes to audience costs and presidential approval. While Americans sanction the president for issuing a threat to raise tariffs, they generally support backing down. Regression modeling and text analysis of a free response question from our surveys suggest this is because consumers are wary of paying the costs of tariffs.

The Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) of Gresik Regency in 2019 stated that some villages in the Driyorejo District, Gresik Regency experienced drought, this condition is in contrast to the availability of water in 2012. The purpose of this study is to determine the spatial pattern of the carrying capacity of water resources. and direction of control policies for the carrying capacity of water resources. The research method used quantitative and qualitative descriptive analysis with the analysis technique of Water Bearing Capacity (DDA), Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) and spatial analysis using Arcgis 10.1 Software. Data collection techniques in the form of observation, documentation, questionnaires and agency surveys. The results showed that the water carrying capacity in Driyorejo District was 99.7% surplus and 0.3% deficit. The status of deficit water carrying capacity is in Petiken and Mojosarirejo Villages, especially in the industrial and service trade sectors. The main priority for the direction of the water carrying capacity control policy based on AHP is to improve land rehabilitation, development of infrastructure and improve the quality and quantity of water sources with scores of 161.4, 98 and 40.6, respectively.

After sustained pressure from the United States and the United Nations, Nepal enacted the Narcotics Drugs (Control) Act of 1976, banning licensing of cannabis dealers and farmers, and declaring cultivation of cannabis unconstitutional. The United States has now legalized cannabis for recreational use in 15 states and two territories, while >40 countries have legalized cannabis for medical use. Nevertheless, Nepal still legally bans cannabis, which has symbolic cultural value as well as economic and medical benefits. Farmers would likely benefit from its legalization. Employment opportunities, tourism, and government revenue would increase. The trade deficit of the country can be reduced by exporting cannabis. The rising public support for the legalization of cannabis has resulted in the recent submission of a bill for its consideration in the Nepal parliament. This study provides a comprehensive analysis of the status of cannabis in Nepal, including its history and potential positive impacts if it is made legal.

With the continuous development of the macro-economy and the Internet of transportation and trade worldwide, the status of trade in tourism services is getting higher and higher. Henan has a long history and rich and colorful culture. As the birthplace of Central Plains Civilization, Henan has rich tourism resources. This paper analyzes the export status of the tourism service trade in Henan Province by using relevant data and analyzes the factors influencing the competitiveness of the tourism service trade in Henan Province by using the diamond model; this paper puts forward some suggestions to improve the export competitiveness of tourism service trade in Henan Province.

One measure of the maturity of a device technology is the ease and reliability of applying contact metallurgy. Compared to metal contact of silicon, the status of GaAs metallization is still at its primitive stage. With the advent of GaAs MESFET and integrated circuits, very stringent requirements were placed on their metal contacts. During the past few years, extensive researches have been conducted in the area of Au-Ge-Ni in order to lower contact resistances and improve uniformity. In this paper, we report the results of TEM study of interfacial reactions between Ni and GaAs as part of the attempt to understand the role of nickel in Au-Ge-Ni contact of GaAs.N-type, Si-doped, (001) oriented GaAs wafers, 15 mil in thickness, were grown by gradient-freeze method. Nickel thin films, 300Å in thickness, were e-gun deposited on GaAs wafers. The samples were then annealed in dry N2 in a 3-zone diffusion furnace at temperatures 200°C - 600°C for 5-180 minutes. Thin foils for TEM examinations were prepared by chemical polishing from the GaA.s side. TEM investigations were performed with JE0L- 100B and JE0L-200CX electron microscopes.

Measurement of the egg's electrical activity, the fertilization potential or the activation current (in voltage clamped eggs), provides a means of detecting the earliest perceivable response of the egg to the fertilizing sperm. By using the electrical physiological record as a “real time” indicator of the instant of electrical continuity between the gametes, eggs can be inseminated with sperm at lower, more physiological densities, thereby assuring that only one sperm interacts with the egg. Integrating techniques of intracellular electrophysiological recording, video-imaging, and electron microscopy, we are able to identify the fertilizing sperm precisely and correlate the status of gamete organelles with the first indication (fertilization potential/activation current) of the egg's response to the attached sperm. Hence, this integrated system provides improved temporal and spatial resolution of morphological changes at the site of gamete interaction, under a variety of experimental conditions. Using these integrated techniques, we have investigated when sperm-egg plasma membrane fusion occurs in sea urchins with respect to the onset of the egg's change in electrical activity.
