<div>English is the dominant international language in communications, science, aviation, entertainment, radio and diplomacy. The global spread of English becomes a serious economic and political disadvantage to those who do not possess a reasonable command of the language since English remains the primary language used in schools and universities and majority of educational materials and references are printed in English. Learning to use English is of great importance today because academic communication tasks relate primarily in the use of English in international context. The purpose of this study was to investigate the relationship between the academic self-concept and the competencies in English among English learners in the University of Immaculate Conception. This study made use of the descriptive correlation method to determine the relationship of academic self-concept and the English competencies among the English learners in UIC. Stratified random sampling was used to determine the appropriate sample size per program. Based on the results of this study, self-confidence in academics as one of the indicators of the academic self-concept has a significant relationship with one of the competencies in English among the respondents. Abstract This study aims to determine the relationship between self-confidence and learning independence. This research was conducted on 233 students of Cahaya Medan High School who were selected using the disproportionate stratified random sampling method and the scale used was a scale to measure self-confidence and learning independence. The calculation is done through an analysis prerequisite test (assumption test) which consists of a normality test and a linearity test. The data analysis used is Product Moment correlation through SPSS 17 for Windows. Besides self-confidence, learning independence is influenced by other factors such as learning motivation, self-concept and democratic parenting of parents. So it can be concluded that the hypothesis is accepted, namely, there is a positive relationship between self-confidence and learning independence.Keywords: Self-confidence; Learning independence Abstrak Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara kepercayaan diri dengan kemandirian belajar. Penelitian ini dilakukan terhadap 233 orang siswa-siswi SMA Cahaya Medan yang dipilih dengan menggunakan metode disproportionate stratified random sampling dan skala yang digunakan yaitu skala untuk mengukur kepercayaan diri dan kemandirian belajar. Perhitungan dilakukan dengan melalui uji prasyarat analisis (uji asumsi) yang terdiri dari uji normalitas dan uji linieritas. Adapun analisis data yang dipakai yakni dengan korelasi Product Moment melalui bantuan SPSS 17 for Windows. Selain kepercayaan diri, variabel kemandirian belajar dipengaruhi oleh faktor lain seperti motivasi belajar, konsep diri dan pola asuh demokratis orang tua. Maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa hipotesis dapat diterima yakni ada hubungan positif antara kepercayaan diri dengan kemandirian belajar.Kata Kunci: Kepercayaan diri; Kemandirian belajar

This study aims to determine whether there is a relationship between age experiencing of menarche (first menstruation) with the student’s confidence in a high school in Padang. The population of the study was all students at Senior High School 6 Padang. The sampling technique used was proportionate stratified random sampling. The number of samples used was 186 people using a questionnaire that had been tested for its validity and reliability before. The results of this study indicate that the age of menarche has a significant relationship to the confidence of these students. Besides that, the correlation coefficient is negative hence thefaster a person experiences menarche, the lower confidence she will has. The relationship between age of experiencing menarche with self-confidence is significant because the physical and psychological changes that occur after a person experiences menarche can affect one's confidence. Even so, it is not only the age of menarche that is associated with self-confidence, but there are other factors such as the learning process of the environment, family, friends or the community. It is because self-confidence is not a hereditary factor, so that everyone can increase their self-confidence in order to optimize their potential for success

A confidence and an attitude toward a persons ability to accept both positive and negative that are shaped and learned through the process of studying with a view to his own happiness. While self concept is an idea, mind, feeling, belief and position known by the individual in relating to others. The purpose of this study is to know a self concept relationship with a self confident. The hypothesis of this study is there's a self concept relationship with a self confidence. In the study, researchers used a quantitative approach in an attempt to test hypotheses that had been drafted. The subject in this study is a teenager sitting in class 7 and 8 MTS miftahul ulum pandaan. The sampling technique used was staggerate stratified random sampling. The analysis of data in this study uses the scale of self concept and self confidence. Data analysis was calculated by using product moment Pearson and acquired rxy by 0.657 with an r-tab 1% of 0.254. Thus there is a highly significant correlation between self concept and a self confidence.

The population of study was the students of class X students of SMAN East Jakarta, amounting to 8 schools and the total number of students was 295. Random sampling technique of test sample was used and obtained by 40 students and the study sample as many as 60 students. In order to answer the problems, the writer used a survey and correlation methods. What is meant by the correlation method is to find the relationship between the variables X into Y and independent variables being the dependent variable. Based on the results of hypothesis testing is known that there is a positive and significant relationship between the effects of self-concept to problem solving for. With a correlation coefficient (R) of 0.707 which indicates that the correlation between the two variables was strong, and the coefficient of determination (R Square) of 0.499. This means that the variable self-concept affects students' problem-solving of 49.9%, while the remaining 50.1% is influenced by other factors.Keywords : Self-Concept, Problem-Solving

Remaja merupakan masa peralihan dari anak-anak menuju dewasa, pada masa ini terjadi berbagai perkembangan fisik maupun non fisik yang dapat meningkatkan hasrat seksual pada remaja. Permasalah yang sering terjadi pada remaja yaitu perilaku seksual. Konsep diri dapat mempengaruhi perilaku seseorang termasuk perilaku seksual beresiko. Remaja dengan konsep diri rendah rentan melakukan perilaku seksual beresiko tinggi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara konsep diri dengan perilaku seksual beresiko pada remaja. Rancangan penelitian menggunakan deskriptif korelasi dengan pendekatan cross sectional. Populasi pada penelitian ini adalah 449 siswa di SMA “X” Kota Bandung, dengan teknik stratified random sampling didapatkan sampel sebanyak 212 siswa. Instrumen penelitian terdiri dari kuesioner Tennesse Self Concept Scale dan kuesioner perilaku seksual beresiko. Penelitian ini menggunakan analisa data univariat dan bivariat dengan uji spearman rank. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa 100% responden memiliki konsep diri yang tinggi, kemudian sebanyak 50,5% responden berperilaku seksual beresiko tinggi. Terdapat hubungan antara konsep diri dengan perilaku seksual beresiko (p=0,018). Disarankan kepada institusi pelayanan kesehatan untuk meningkatkan pendidikan kesehatan mengenai perilaku seksual beresiko pada remaja.   Kata kunci: konsep diri, perilaku seksual beresiko, remaja   THE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN SELF CONCEPT WITH SEXUAL RISK BEHAVIOR IN ADOLESCENCE   ABSTRACT Adolescence is a period of transition from children to adults, during this time various physical and non-physical developments occur that can increase sexual desire in adolescents. Problem that often occurs in adolescents is sexual behavior. Self-concept can affect a person's behavior including risky sexual behavior. Teenagers with low self-concept are prone to high-risk sexual behavior. This study was descriptive correlative, design with cross sectional approach with aims to know the relationship between self concept with sexual risk behavior in adolescence at one of the high school in Bandung.  The population was 449 students, and used stratified random sampling and obtained samples as many as 212 students. This study used two instruments, Tennesse Self Concept Scale questionnaire and sexual risk behavior questionnaire. This study used univariate dan bivariate with spearman rank data analysis. The results showed that 100% of the respondents have high self concept. Then, 50.5% of respondents behave sexually at high risk. The results of bivariate analysis showed p value <0.05 (0.018) which means there was a correlation between self concept with sexual risk behavior. It is recommended to health service institutions to improve health education regarding risky sexual behavior inadolescents.   Keywords: self-concept, sexual risk behaviour,adolescence

The study aimed at exploring the relationship of Academic self-concept and Test Anxiety of students and to find out the differences in these two variables with respect to some selected categorical variables. The objectives included (i) to find out the differences in Test anxiety and Academic Self-concept with respect to gender, stream of study and academic self-appraisal; and (2) to find out the relationship between Test anxiety and Academic Self-concept. For this purpose, 200 students studying various streams from a university were selected through stratified random sampling keeping gender and stream of study as strata. Academic Self Concept Scale by Liu, Wang &Parkins (2005) and Fried-Ben Test anxiety Scale (FTAS) by Friedman &Bendas Jacob (1997) were utilized to collect data. The data analysis revealed significant differences in test anxiety and academic self-concept of students with respect to their gender, course of study and academic self-appraisal. Also, significant inverse correlation was found between test anxiety and academic self-concept. Thus the study aligned with the existing literature. Implications and suggestions are posed as how the findings can be utilized for school consultation and in which direction the further research can be executed.

<p><em>Good weaning time is done at the age of the child reaches 2 years. Weaning at less</em><em> </em><em>than 2 years of age can cause problems in children such as incidence of infectious diseases, especially increased diarrhea, nutritional effects that lead to malnutrition in children and cause the relationship of children and mothers is reduced </em><em>closeness </em><em>because bounding attachment process is disrupted. This study aims to determine the relationship between knowledge  and  attitude  of  the  mother  with  the  decision  of  weaning  time  in</em><em> </em><em>Tangkerang Timur Work Area Puskesmas Tenayan Raya. This research was conducted in </em><em>Mei</em><em>-</em><em>J</em><em>uni 2017 and this research using research type is quantitative data with research design  using  cross  sectional.  Sampling  technique  using  Stratified  random  sampling, population in this study amounted to 368 people and samples 18</em><em>4</em><em> p</em><em>e</em><em>ople in East Tangkerang Village. The analysis used is univariate and bivariate. The result of this research is can be concluded that there is significant relation between knowledge with time weaning (p-value 0,000 &lt;0,05), there is significant relation between attitude with time weaning (p-value 0,000 &lt;0,05). Mothers exclusively breastfeed to their babies until 6 months of age and and continue with breastfeeding until 24 months of age.</em><em></em></p><p> </p><p>Waktu penyapihan yang baik dilakukan pada usia anak mencapai 2 tahun. Penyapihan yang dilakukan pada usia kurang dari 2 tahun dapat menyebabkan masalah pada anak seperti insiden penyakit infeksi terutama diare meningkat, pengaruh gizi yang mengakibatkan malnutrisi  pada  anak  dan  menyebabkan  hubungan  anak  dan  ibu  berkurang  keeratannya karena proses bounding attachment terganggu. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara pengetahuan dan sikap ibu dengan keputusan waktu penyapihan di Keluraan Tangkerang Timur Wilayah Kerja Puskesmas Tenayan Raya. Penelitian ini dilakukan pada bulan Mei-Juni tahum 2017 dan penelitian ini menggunakan jenis penelitian adalah data kuantitatif dengan  desain penelitian menggunakan  cross sectional. Teknik sampling menggunakan Stratified random sampling, Populasi dalam penelitian ini berjumlah 368 orang dan sampel 184 orang di Kelurahan Tangkerang Timur. Analisa yang diunakan adalah univariat dan bivariat. Hasil penelitian didapatkan bahwa ada hubungan bermakna antara pengetahuan dengan waktu penyapihan (p-value 0,000&lt; 0,05), ada   hubungan   bermakna   antara   sikap   dengan   waktu   penyapihan   (p-value   0,000   &lt;0,05). Diharapkan ibu memberikan ASI eksklusif pada bayinya sampai usia 6 bulan dan dan dilanjutkan dengan MPASI sampai usia 24 bulan.</p>

The objective of the present study is to investigate the relationship between managers’ professionalism and (technical, human, and perceptual) skills in managers of Iran Poly Akril Company. The research is an applied one in terms of objectives, and a descriptive-correlational in terms of method. The population includes all experts working in the company in 2012 as 240 individuals among who 144 participants were selected using the stratified random sampling method proportionate to the population size as the sample size. The data collection instruments were two researcher-made questionnaires of Managers’ skills containing 22 items and with the reliability coefficient as 0.96, and Professionalism containing 28 items and the reliability coefficient as 0.95. Their validity was investigated and confirmed by professors and experts of management. Analyzing data was conducted at the two level of descriptive statistics (frequency, mean, SD, and presentation of tables and charts) and inferential statistics (one sample t-test, correlation coefficient, regression coefficient, ANOVA, and F-test).

The objective of the present empirical piece of research work is to examine the moderation effect of gender on the relationship between occupational aspiration and career maturity. Following the stratified random sampling technique 1000 students were drawn from different schools at Durg city, to serve as participants in the present research work. Career maturity was measured by Career Maturity Inventory (Gupta, 1989). Occupational aspiration was measured by Grewal (1975). Moderation effect was worked out through hierarchical multiple regression analysis. Result of the study indicated that, gender was significant moderator on the relationship between occupational aspiration and career maturity. It is concluded that there is sufficient empirical and statistical evidence of the moderation effect of gender on the relationship between relationship between occupational aspiration and career maturity.

Abstract. In February 2019 KPID West Java issued a circular containing restrictions on the hours of broadcast of some English-language songs that were vulgar in content, both in the form of songs or video clips. There are 17 English songs contained in circular attachments issued by KPID West of Java. Dozens of songs can only be aired starting at 22:00 WIB until 03.00 WIB. The broadcast limitation starts from public complaints and KPID supervision of the broadcast content. A number of online media rollicking to preach this event, one of which is online media Detik.com which is a news site that is widely accessed by various groups. This study uses a quantitative method with a correlational approach that aims to find out the relationship of truth, relevance, balance and neutrality between the coverage of 17 western songs by KPID West of Java towards the interests of listeners of western songs on Radio as aspects of cognitive, evaluative and the interests of listeners of western songs on the radio The students of Faculty of Communication Sciences Unisba as the dependent variable, this study uses the objectivity theory of Westerstahl. From this study using the stratified random sampling technique, it was concluded that there was a significant and very strong relationship between Factuality, Impartiality and Western Song Listeners' Interests on Radio at the Faculty of Communication Sciences Unisba. Abstrak. Pada bulan Februari 2019 KPID Jawa Barat mengeluarkan surat edaran yang berisi tentang pembatasan jam penyiaran beberapa lagu berbahasa Inggris yang berkonten vulgar, baik dalam bentuk lagu atau pun video klip. Terdapat 17 lagu berbahasa Inggris yang terdapat dalam lampiran surat edaran yang dikeluarkan KPID Jawa Barat. Belasan lagu itu hanya boleh tayang mulai pukul 22.00 WIB hingga 03.00 WIB. Pembatasan penyiaran berawal dari aduan masyarakat dan pengawasan KPID terhadap isi siaran. Sejumlah media online beramai-ramai memberitakan peristiwa ini salah satunya media online Detik.com yang merupakan situs berita yang banyak diakses oleh berbagai kalangan. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif dengan pendekatan korelasional yang bertujuan mengetahui adanya hubungan kebenaran, relevansi, keberimbangan dan netralitas antara pemberitaan pembatasan 17 lagu barat oleh KPID Jawa Barat terhadap minat pendengar lagu barat di Radio sebagai aspek dalam kognitif, evaluatif dengan minat pendengar lagu barat di radio pada Mahasiswa Fikom Unisba sebagai variabel terikat, penelitian ini menggunakan teori Objektivitas dari Westerstahl. Dari penelitian ini yang menggunakan teknik penarikan sampel stratified random sampling ini ditemukan kesimpulan, bahwa terdapat hubungan yang signifikan dan sangat kuat antara Faktualitas, Imparsialitas dengan Minat Pendengar Lagu Barat di Radio pada Mahasiswa Fikom Unisba.
