The correlations between longevity, functional longevity, stayability and selected milk, reproductive and type traits were estimated; it was done on the basis of estimated breeding values for longevity, functional longevity, dairy traits, reproductive traits and stayability rates at the age of 60, 72, 84, and 96 months. The correlation between breeding values for longevity and functional longevity was 0.69. The correlations between longevity and stayability at 60, 72, 84, and 96 months of age were around 0.75 (from 0.73 to 0.76) whereas the correlation with stayability at 48 months was considerably lower (0.64). The breeding values for dairy traits showed a positive relationship with longevity (from 0.37 to 0.46) and a slightly negative correlation with breeding values for functional longevity (from –0.10 to –0.20). A low relationship was found between longevity and reproductive traits. Between the type traits and longevity traits only the conformation score for the form (0.18) and for the udder showed a positive correlation (0.24). The correlation between the form and functional longevity remained approximately on the same level whereas the correlation with the main udder score decreased to 0.08, which indicated a positive relationship between milk traits and udder scores.

ABSTRACT Objective. Analyze the structure and genetic differentiation of a population of Antioquia Holstein cows from the polymorphisms A192G of INHA and A-320T of FSHR, and explore the association of the genotypic combinations with milk traits. Materials and methods. 1240 lactations of 356 animals from 9 herds in 6 municipalities of Antioquia were analyzed. Genotyping was performed by PCR-RFLP. Structure and genetic diversity parameters were determined using GenAlex software. The association of genotypes combinations with productive and reproductive traits was explored through a linear mixed model. Results. SNP A192G showed a frequency of 0.534 and 0.466 for A and G alleles respectively and SNP A-320T had a frequency of 0.660 far A allele and 0.339 for T allele, this way the population is in HWE. The FST, FIS and FIT values were 0.059, 0.285 and 0.328 respectively indicating a moderate genetic differentiation between subpopulations. The A-320T SNP showed significant effect on milk yield. Fat and protein percentage, calving interval and services per conception were not affected by these polymorphisms or their interaction. Conclusions. Phenotypic selection made on this population has not been strong enough to generate noticeable changes in allele frequencies of these polymorphisms or deviations from Hardy-Weinberg equilibrium. The interaction of these polymorphisms has no significant effect on the characteristics of zootechnical interest, so its use in programs of molecular marker assisted selection is not recommended.

Spotted cattle breed is the most common breed in Austria. Austrian Spotted cattle breed is bred as a dual purpose breed for more than 100 years. The breeding objective has changed over the time according to the different economic importance of the traits and according to the different possibilities in using estimated breeding values (EBVs) for selection. Since 1998 the breeding objective is defined as the aggregate genotype of production traits and functional traits. All economically important traits are combined according to their economic weights in the total merit index (TMI). The TMI is calculated by combining the EBVs of all traits using a selection index procedure. The index weights (b-values) are estimated depending on the reliabilities of the EBVs and are therefore different from animal to animal. Considering the intensive international exchange of semen from the best bulls, the cooperation in the breeding programs and the similar economic situation in agriculture the breeding organizations of Germany and Austria decided to make a joint across-country evaluation for all traits. Since November 2002 breeding values for all traits and as a logical conclusion the TMI are evaluated jointly. The result is a high acceptance of the EBVs and the TMI by the farmers because of smaller changes of the breeding values for national and foreign bulls between consecutive evaluations. The realized economic gain in the different traits is very close to the expected economic gain. In the last 10 years on average 88.2 % of the economic gain were realized in the milk traits, 4.2 % in the beef traits and 7.6 % were realized in the fitness traits.

The aim of this study was to estimate the genetic parameters and breeding values for reproduction traits of Landrace sows in the first three parities by Animal model. Records of 2238 first parity; 2125 second parity and 1872 third parity Landrace sows farrowing between 2007 and 2012 were included in the analysis. The traits included in the analyses were total pigs born (TB), number of pigs born alive (NBA), number of pigs weaned (NW) and litter weaning weight (LW) in the parities. The genetic parameters were estimated using a multivariate analyses Animal model using REML procedure. Estimates of heritability for TB were 0.03, 0.05 and 0.18, for NBA were 0.04, 0.02 and 0.17, for NW were 0.08, 0.08 and 0.01 and for LW were 0.09, 0.11 and 0.03 for parities 1 to 3. Genetic and phenotypic variance were increased from the first to the third parity. Between the majorities of studied reproductive traits were the recorded positive genetic and phenotypic correlations, except between LW and other analyzed properties where they recorded a high correlation negative in third parity. Means of estimated breeding values of reproductive traits from first parity to third parity was indecreased.

Abstract. The present analysis compares the estimated breeding values (EBVs), relative breeding values (RBVs), and daughter yield deviations (YDs) of cows with exceptional longevity with their contemporary herdmates. In addition, the relative breeding values of their sires were compared among these two daughter groups; the RBVs of the sires were also compared with the proportion of their daughters with exceptional longevity. Data included 5037 sires born between 1963 and 1996 with a total of 61 988 daughter; of these sires, 486 had sired daughters that completed more than nine lactations (exceptional cows) and 4957 sires had sired the contemporary herdmates. Exceptional cows had on average significantly lower EBVs for milk yield, fat and protein yield, and significantly lower YDs for milk and protein yield in the first three lactations, significantly lower RBVs for milk production and type but significantly higher RBVs for somatic cell score and functional longevity. The sires of exceptional cows had significantly higher RBVs for somatic cell count (RZS), functional longevity (RZN), and fitness (RZFit) in comparison to the sires of contemporary herdmates. Correlations among the proportion of exceptional cows per sire and RZN, RZS as well as RZFit were positive, whereas milk production (RZM) showed a negative correlation. An increase in the number of cows with exceptional longevity may be possible through a relative total breeding value with high positive weights for RZN, RZS, and RZFit but negative weights for RZM and type (RZE).

This study was conducted to determine: (1) the correlation between job satisfaction and turnover intention of employees of PT. X Jambi, (2) the correlation between job stress and turnover intention of employees of PT. X Jambi and (3) the correlation between job satisfaction and job stress on employees of PT. X Jambi. The results of the study are (1) between job satisfaction and turnover intention has a negative correlation was weak and not significant, it is shown by the value of the correlation coefficient of -0.295 and opportunities are not mutually correlated 0.065 greater than the maximum terms are correlated by 0.025. It can be concluded between job satisfaction and turnover intention has not had a meaningful relationship, (2) the correlation between job satisfaction and job stress also has a weak positive correlation was not significant, it is shown by the value of the correlation coefficient of 0.024 and opportunities are not mutually correlation of 0.882 is greater than the maximum terms are correlated 0.025, (3) the correlation between job stress and turnover intention has a significant positive relationship, it is shown by the value of the correlation coefficient of 0.381 and opportunities are not mutually correlated by 0,015 less than the requirement maximum mutual correlation of 0.025. It can be concluded between job stress and turnover intention is to have a meaningful relationship.Kata kunci : korelasi, intensi turnover, kepuasan kerja, stres kerja

Based on the linear type classification of 49 246 young cows of the Czech Fleckvieh breed the overall udder score was proposed. Calculation of the overall udder score is derived from the particular type traits, especially from those traits, where the optimal development is not scored by maximum. Cubic regression coefficients were used for recalculation and obtained a new scale for traits such as udder depth, teat length, teat thickness, teat position and teat placement. These re-calculated traits together with other particular traits described on the udder were combined to the model for overall udder score – model 1. In the model 2 the same proportion of the particular traits was used with restriction by extreme development of the udder dept, where two different levels of penalization (−3 and −6 points) were used. Both models were compared with the current used system, where the x = 77.1, s = 5.22; for model 1 x = 84.94 (s = 2.65); for model 2 x = 84.40, s = 2.74. In both proposed models the distribution of the overall score for udder showed significantly smooth distribution, than in current system.The coefficient of correlation between current system and new proposals reached r = 0.799. Estimated breeding values for new models decreased from x = 0.199, s = 0.946 by the current used system, to x = 0.087 for model 1, x = 0.089 for model 2 respectively. Also the variability of the breeding values decreased. Estimated coefficients of heritability also decreased from 0.22 by the current system to 0.15 by the model 1 and 0.15 by the model 2, respectively.

In this study, the contemporary comparison method (CC) of half-sibs relation was used to estimate the breeding values of Holstein-Friesian sires for 305 -day milk yield (305-DMY) and basic components of milk traits, 409 records of cows that are daughters of ten sires in eight Syrian dairy farms where used. Result of the study showed differences in the estimated breeding values(ccEBVs), where the E Sire achieved the highest value of 305-DMY trait (254.47 kg), while the B Sire achieved the highest value of milk protein percentage (MPP), milk fat percentage (MFP)and milk lactose percentage (MLP) traits (0.822 %, 0.857 %and 1.09% respectively). According to their sires, daughters of E Sire outperformed the counterparts in the 305-DMY (p = 0.001), MPP (p = 0.001) and MFP (p = 0.04) traits (5701.44 kg, 3.55%, and 3.88% respectively). According to source of farm, daughters in Farm 5 achieved the highest value of 305-DMY trait (p=0.04) and daughters in the seventh farm achieved the highest value of MPP trait (p=0.007), the values were 5403.48 kg and 3.54 % respectively. Values of heritability (h2) for the traits of 305-DMY, MPP, MFP and MLP were 0.33,0.54,0.43 and 0.47 respectively. Most of genetic and phenotypic correlations coefficients were approaching to zero except the genetic relation between MLP and MPP and phenotypic relation between MFP and MPP (0.88 and 0.84 respectively).

Abstract Objective was to determine correlations between serum AMH and reproductive traits in ewes. Blood was collected at breeding from Katahdin ewes between 0.7 and 9 yr age in 2015 (n = 158) and 2017 (n = 233) for the analysis of serum AMH concentrations using different immunoassays (Equine and Ovine AMH in 2015 and Ovine AMH in 2017; AnshLab). Relationships between AMH and first exposure pregnancy rate (PR) to spring or fall breeding, number of lambs born to first lambing, age at first lambing (using lifetime records), and estimated breeding values (EBVs) for number of lambs born (NLB), number of lambs weaned (NLW), maternal weaning weight (MWT), weaning weight (WWT), and maternal index were determined. Correlations were determined using PROC CORR (SAS), and PROC GLM used with AMH or AMH quartile as dependent or independent variables, and season in models. Serum AMH or quartiles did not correlate with any reproductive trait. In 2017 but not 2015, AMH concentrations (P = 0.02) and quartiles (P = 0.04) were greater in ewes that became pregnant than nonpregnant ewes to first breeding. Ewes that were pregnant at a younger age had a higher WWT (P = 0.002), NLW (P = 0.04) and Index (P = 0.02), and more prolific ewes at first lambing had a higher NLB (P < 0.001), NLW (P < 0.001), and Index (P < 0.001), regardless of season of first breeding. Mean PR was -4.6 ± 3.8% and 68.4 ± 3.8% for spring and fall breeding (P < 0.001), resulting in older spring compared with fall bred ewes at first lambing (2.04 ± 0.08 vs. 1.52 ± 0.05 yr, P < 0.001). While AMH did not appear to consistently predict fertility in ewes, higher EBVs (NLB, NLW, Index) were associated with younger ewes and greater prolificacy at first lambing.

Abstract Animal behaviours often dependent on age. In many insect species, walking shows an age-dependent decline, and food intake may also be dependent on age. However, few studies have investigated the relationship between age and walking or food intake. In the present study, we compared walking traits and food intake among individuals of different ages in the assassin bug Amphibolus venator (Hemiptera, Reduviidae). The present results showed an age-dependent decline in walking, similar to findings in many animal species. On the other hand, food intake showed a positive correlation with age. Therefore, the decline in walking did not lead to a decline in feeding. The positive relationship between food intake and age may be related to the type of predation, sit-and-wait, used by A. venator via alterations in investment in reproductive traits with age.

The article deals with the interconnection and interdependence of phraseological semantic fields of Russian study of aphorisms in synchronic and in diachronic approaches. The correlation of phraseological semantic fields of Russian study of aphorisms is considered as their interdependence due to various factors (linguistic and extra-linguistic ones). The correlation of the phraseological semantic fields of Russian study of aphorisms is manifested in the existence of many antinomies. The natural linguistic antinomies of life / death / immortality or war / peace, or good / evil, or friend / enemy, or villainy / nobility are reflected in Russian aphorisms and have entered the corresponding phraseological semantic fields. The corpus of Russian study of aphorisms containsnot only antinomic aphorisms, but also antinomic relations that extend to the level of language and speech. Therefore, in Russian study of aphorisms there are phraseological semantic fields that implement these antinomies. In addition to the antinomic phraseological semantic fields in the corpus of classical Russian study of aphorisms there are other types of correlations. The keywords (concepts) of many phraseological semantic fields are closely thematically connected. When the number of units from one field is changed, the number of units in another phraseological semantic field also changes. Most phraseological semantic fields of Russian study of aphorisms do not show a zero correlation in either synchronic or diachronic approaches. This is due to, first of all, the universality of the aphoristic theme, with all the ideological and thematic uniqueness of the sayings used by Russian writers. However, a few phraseological and semantic fields of aphorisms by Russian writers may show a negative correlation, which is due to the diversity of the thematic groups that comprise them. A positive correlation of phraseological semantic fields, the most significant in the number of their constituent components, shows deep internal linguistic systemic connections in Russian classical study of aphorisms.
