Under conditions of intense competition, the creation of new products and their promotion to the market requires marketing support. The central element of marketing innovation management is marketing positioning. In contrast to the methodological aspect, there is almost no procedural component of positioning in scientific works and publications. Moreover, due attention is not paid to the issues of market segmentation and the allocation of the competitive advantage of such high-tech products as civil aircraft. This determines the relevance of the task of developing a procedure for marketing positioning within the framework of managing the product offer of the aircraft industry enterprises. From the standpoint of a systematic approach, the necessity of studying the adjacent air transportation market is reasonable, as well as the analysis of the correlation of its segmentation with the allocation of target segments of the aircraft market. When conducting a competitive analysis, we propose to consider the market position not only of certain types of civil aircraft, but also of aircraft families. Modeling marketing management shows the role of positioning in the processes of creating, manufacturing and operating aircraft. A distinctive feature of the procedure is the proposed stage of evaluating the effectiveness of the selected product position implementation, which allows us to analyze the feasibility of marketing decisions throughout the product life cycle. Special attention is paid to the issues of information support. The research results presented here reflect the specifics of the marketing activities of aviation industry enterprises and contribute to the development of the conceptual foundations of industrial marketing.

The aviation industry for Russia is traditionally one of the important backbone elements of the national economy due to its belonging to knowledge-intensive and high-tech industries, the possibility of embedding in international technical and technological cooperation and cooperation, as well as its impact on innovative development and sustainability of economic growth. Despite the stagnation in the post-Soviet decade and the resulting trend towards lagging behind the leading aircraft-building countries, the development of the industry has always been of strategic importance for Russia, primarily in terms of ensuring the country's transport security. To implement integration tasks in such a huge country, a developed system of air transportation, including a national park of civil aircraft, needs to function.

The features of support for the logistics sphere of production of equipment (products) at Russian high-tech enterprises are examined and the main areas of activity of enterprises are clarified in terms of providing integrated support for the logistics sphere of products at all stages of the life cycle. Based on current trends in the development of the economy of the Russian Federation, the use of the latest logistics technologies in the management of production enterprises is of particular relevance. It has been established that in the implementation of the traditional system of product logistic support, information flows carry information about product requirements, cost, ordering and delivery of finished products to consumers. Currently, certain steps are being taken to introduce CALS-technologies, which are considered as tools for organizing and providing continuous information support to all participants in the creation, production and use of products at all stages of the product life cycle, reducing costs in the production, operation and repair processes. It was revealed that in the traditional support system for the product’s logistics sphere there is no centralized planning, the logistics information system cannot promptly change the parameters of the main elements of the support system depending on the changed operating conditions of the product. A promising system of integrated support for the logistics sector based on CALS-technologies is proposed, which eliminates the shortcomings by analyzing the support of the logistics sector.

Sustainable innovations try to resolve complex challenges related to climate change. Co-creation with diverse stakeholders in innovation networks opens opportunities to successfully develop and implement sustainable innovations. However, collaboration between heterogeneous partners poses challenges at the level of stakeholder relationship management that affect the progress of innovation development. This study’s purpose is to investigate how co-creation processes that develop sustainable and climate-neutral high-tech innovations in the greenhouse horticultural industry should be structured and how stakeholder relationship management affects the progress of innovation development. Design methodology is linked with innovation management literature. A case study observed seven innovation trajectories that developed energy saving and climate-neutral growing techniques in the greenhouse horticultural industry in Flanders (Belgium) and The Netherlands over a period of three years. In-depth interviews (n = 13) were conducted to have the partners reflect on the co-creation process. Results show that co-creation management should focus on team composition, partner alignment and transparent communication about intentions, expectations and role division throughout the process. The initial stages of a co-creation process are crucial for context mapping and creation of team cohesion and do affect the subsequent stages in the process. Besides, in sustainable high-tech contexts, co-creation facilitators are faced with the need for technical knowledge and skills.

The purpose of this study is to analyze standards as one of the main tools of protectionism in global markets of industrial goods. We use standards for modeling of market competition and adapt this approach for civil aviation markets. The role of local noise standards in civil aircraft markets is discussed. Imposition of more stringent aviation noise standards is modelled in the form of a two-person non-zero-sum game. Players are aircraft corporations that conduct research and development to reduce noise and lobby for stricter regulations in their controlled markets. The model can be used to predict that tighter aviation noise standards will be imposed and to justify the strategy of Russian aviation industry and science. The proposed approach can be adapted for other industries with strict regulations (in terms of safety, ecology). Such estimation allows us to assess whether it is in the country’s interests to participate in the standards race or not. It is shown that the equilibrium degree of standards tightening is higher if the players’ market shares are close to equal or individual players have advantages in the cost of production and/or product improvement is highly likely due to the company’s R&D progress.

In the world economic space there is a complex transition from industrial technological system to postindustrial, in which the high tech, informatization and knowledge economy takes on the dominating role of the driving forces of development. Naturally, for such a turn of events, economic science was not well prepared, and today there is a certain gap between the practice of accelerated changes and the scientific provision of these processes. First of all, it concerns the development of a strategy and mechanisms for the development of the country's economy and identifying opportunities for realizing its innovative potential by doing innovative management. The researchers consider innovative management in their work in a number of aspects: science and art of innovative management (I. Dichkivska, P. Zavlin); kind of administrative activity in making decisions on innovations (I. Balabanov, M. Yon, V. Stadnik,); management of innovations (N. Kruglov, A. Porshnev); a system of rules of principles, norms, values orientations that regulate various spheres of innovation activity (V. Vasilenko, L. Oholova). In innovative management, the methods of socio-psychological series, heuristic and collegial (I. Ansoff, B. Gates, L. Karuushkha, A. Morita) prevail. There is a change in the general functions, structure and objectives of management (L. Danilenko, L. Oholova), there are special means and forms of organization of innovation activity (V. Vasilenko, L. Vashchenko). The study of literary sources and their generalization shows the importance of this issue, and requires a more in-depth study and analysis of international experience in implementing innovative measures. The research objective. The main purpose of this study is to analyze measures to stimulate innovation development in the countries of the world, assessment of their effectiveness, as well as consideration of the directions on the basis of their activation of innovation activity in Ukraine. The article reveals the essence of the concept of "innovative management", analyzes the international experience in implementing and stimulating the innovation process. Thus, to summarize, it can be concluded that the experience of leading countries in stimulating innovation usually involves quite similar measures, namely: subsidies, tax cuts or, in some cases, tax holidays, payment of a share of R & D expenditure. The following organizations are created: informational, technical, financial support for business engaged in innovation activities. Stimulates the development of innovations at the level of universities and other scientific institutions.  Keywords: innovative management; innovative activity; innovative measures; R&D; innovation.

Introduction. Small innovative businesses play an important role in the economy of developed countries and are an essential element of the innovation process. Small enterprises are the most flexible, dynamic and widespread form of enterprises. Ukraine’s aspiration to European integration necessitates the introduction of an innovative model of development, one of the components of which is the development of a domestic innovation enterprise, which prompts to seek new approaches to the implementation of scientific, technical and innovative potential of the country’s economy. The purpose of the article is to find out the features and problems of financial support for the development of small innovative enterprises in Ukraine and to substantiate directions for its improvement. Results. According to the data of the State Statistics Service of Ukraine, innovation activity in Ukraine in 2018 was carried out only by every eleventh enterprise. The share of enterprises that introduced innovations in 2017 amounted to 16.2%, and those engaged in innovations 14.3%, respectively. At the same time, the share of innovative products in the total industrial volume was, according to the results of 2017, only 0.7%. In Ukraine, as of January 1, 2018, in the total number of enterprises (338256 units), the share of small business entities amounted to 95.5%. This testifies to the dependence of the level of development of the Ukrainian economy on their innovative activity. Among the range of obstacles to the successful functioning of innovative entrepreneurship, the problem of low efficiency of functioning of the financial mechanism of ensuring their development is the most urgent. Particular attention should be paid to the use of national competitive advantages, avant-garde industries, high-tech industries, such as space technology, aviation industry, biotechnology, tool manufacture, defense and industrial complex. Innovation demand in Ukraine should become not only an economic category but also an essential property of a person’s character. Conclusions. The development of innovative entrepreneurship is not carried out quickly and purposefully. Its potential, as the main tool for commercializing scientific ideas, is practically not implemented in Ukraine. Before small innovative enterprises, there are many barriers and obstacles that prevent them from working effectively. Thus, in order to provide effective financial support for the development of small innovative entrepreneurship, it is necessary, first of all, to improve the financial and tax policy of supporting small businesses, as well as to increase the efficiency of the use of established institutions of market infrastructure for supporting small businesses. The details of the mechanisms for implementing these measures should be the subject of further research, the results of which will be highlighted in the following publications.

PURPOSE/THESIS: The purpose of the study is to examine the relationship among modernization, innovativeness, and information processes in high-technology environments, and provide recommendations on boosting innovativeness, taking the informational dimension of innovation into account. Currently, knowledge and innovations have become the driving force of the world development. It is claimed that innovativeness, as opposed to inventiveness, can be subject to planning and management and as such is usually developed mostly in high-tech organizations and enterprises. APROACH/METHODS: The method enabling high-tech organizations to create favorable conditions in order to boost innovativeness and develop innovations includes, inter alia: (i) encouraging such organizations and companies to build points of bifurcations within their own structures and business processes where free creative thoughts and experiments could happen; (ii) integrating main information systems that support innovativeness (e.g. systems dealing with company products and know-how, human resources, knowledge management, customer relationships management, and crowdsourcing). The corporate portal seems to be the most appropriate place for such integration, (iii) tapping into the model of open innovation and (iv) offering mobile access to corporate resources. RESULTS AND CONCLUSIONS: The outcome of the research is the outline of a methodology for boosting innovativeness in high-tech environments that may help company managers and decision makers to organize innovation projects. ORIGNALITY/VALUE: The value of the research consists in the recognition of the fact that innovation within the high-tech environment needs to be organized, managed and provided with a reliable information support. The latter can be achieved with the integration of various information processes related to the implementation of innovation projects within a corporate portal.

Purpose Building on a business network perspective, the paper addresses the following question: Why do firms move between cooperation and competition in the context of high-tech industry? Hence, the purpose of this study is to contribute to the understanding of the complex cooperation–competition interplay between actors in a business network. Design/methodology/approach A single case study within the information and communication technology industry is undertaken and illustrates the cooperation–competition interplay in projects of technology. Findings The authors discuss the implications of interdependence on relationship dynamics. The main argument is that business relationships survive despite periods of competition if interdependence is high. Thus, firms move between a state of cooperation and a state of competition within business relationships, rather than ending the relationships when starting to compete. Practical implications This study suggests that managers need to pay attention to how different degrees of interdependence lead firms to be embedded in cooperative or competitive forms of relationships. Originality/value The paper contributes to the ongoing debate about cooperation, competition and coopetition within international business and industrial marketing literature. An interesting aspect in the paper is the cooperation–competition interplay, which is associated with positioning. A centrally positioned actor will choose who to bring into the partnership, with positioning concomitantly changing from project to project. The willingness of being a central actor, i.e. a project leader, places traditional buyer–supplier partners in competition. Thus, cooperation and/or competition becomes contextual.
