ABSTRACT: “The Use of Guided Discovery Learning Model to Increase Students’ Activity and Learning Outcomes in the Subject of Agricultural Communication and Extension”. This research is to determine the increase in the learning activities and learning outcomes of Agribusiness Department stundents in the subject of Agricultural Communication and Extension, by implementing the guided discovery method. This is CAR (Clasroom Action Research) conduced to the 3rd semester students and was carried out for 4 months. The research results showed that students’ activity increased from the first cycle to the second cycle in six indicators: debriefing between students; debriefing between students and lecturers; working on and discussing student worksheet; practicing the guided steps of discovery model; presenting the results of group work; and drawing a conclusion of subject matter along with the lecturer. In applying the learning method, lecturers should make planning so that the learning goes systematically; and they should create more varied worksheet.KEY WORD: Learning Activities; Students; Lecturers; Learning Outcomes; Guided Discovery Learning Model. About the Authors: Roza Yulida, M.Si.; Kausar, M.Si.; dan Yulia Andriani, M.Si. adalah Staf Pengajar pada Jurusan Agribisnis, Fakultas Pertanian UNRI (Universitas Riau), Kampus Bina Widya, Jalan H.R. The purpose of this research is to: (1) Improve the learning outcomes of algebraic operation material in grade X students Accounting-2 SMK Negeri I Waingapu in 2018/2019 by implementing the Discovery learning model. (2) To increase the activity of learning Mathematics of algebraic operations in grade X students in Accounting-2 SMK Negeri I Waingapu by implementing the Discovery learning model. This research is a collaborative classroom action (CAR) study implemented in two cycles . The subject in this study was the grade X student Accounting-2 SMK Negeri I Waingapu in 2018/2019 with a total of 36 people. Each cycle consists of two meetings. The data collection techniques used in this study were observations, tests and documentation. The instruments used are observation sheets and tests. Analysis of the data used is the analysis of the implementation of learning, learning outcomes and success criteria. The defined success indicator is when the average class increases from the preset, cycle I and cycle II. The results showed that students’ mathematical learning results were improved. This is evidenced by the increased percentage of the classical, which is from the preview 31%, Cycle I 69% and cycle II 94%. In addition to the observation data obtained before the action, students look less active in learning activities, learning activities are more dominated by teachers. After being given an action, students appear active during a learning activity and at the time of the group discussion

The aim of this action research is increasing the activity and learning through the application of sharing knowledge actively learning model with guided discovery method on statistics courses tutorial at open university (UT) study group in Banjarbaru. The subject of this study were Students of UT at, Pendas S-1 class A of PGSD, who took an educational statistics courses (PEMA - 4210) semesters VII, 2011.1 registered.Action research activities divided students into small groups, and each time of the meeting, the tutor provides the Group Worksheet (LKK), which contains materials summary to be studied by each group. Tutor only facilitated groups who had barriers, with reminded to reread LKK, the tutor was not allowed to give a direct answer.During the research activities carried out by using LKK, it could be concluded that students really learned in groups, and they also helped each other between a group with other groups to discuss the material that was less mastered by them. The results showed the use of sharing knowledge actively learning model with guided discovery method, capable to provide assistance students in learning statistical material, and outcomes indicated that PGSD Pendas S-1 class A, who took education statistics (Pema 4210) semesters VII, period 2011.1 were graduated 100 percent. This type of research is Classroom Action Research, ie research done by teachers in their own class with planned, systematic to improve the quality of classroom learning practice. The subjects of this study are students of class VII SMP Negeri Padangsidimpuan Lesson Year 2017-2018, selected is a class VII-2 with the number of students 31 people. While the object of this study is the application of the STAD type cooperative learning model with a guided discovery method to improve results and student learning activities that are not good math and need to be improved. The research instrument in this research will use test and non-test technique. The conclusion that can be drawn from this research is 1) the increase of mathematics learning outcomes through the application of STAD type cooperative learning model with guided discovery method of 0.65 with medium criteria, 2) Increased student learning activity through the application of STAD type cooperative learning model with guided discovery method equal to 0.46 with medium criterion, 3) also increase student response to STAD type cooperative learning with guided discovery method. The improvement of teachers' ability to manage the learning is 0.78 with high criteria.

research was motivated by the problem of the low learning outcomes of fourth grade mathematics. This is because mathematics learning is still teacher centered or still dominated by teachers, teachers tend to still teach mathematics in an abstract/symbolic way where the learning method is contrary to the cognitive development of students. This study aims to determine whether there is an increase in mathematics learning outcomes using the Guided Discovery Learning method in fourth grade students of SD 4 Adiwarno. The research was conducted in March-April 2020 in the fourth grade of SD 4 Adiwarno, Mejobo District, Kudus Regency as the research subject. The results of the study showed that the results of learning mathematics in the initial conditions were only 33.33% of students who reached the KKM. There was an increase in the first cycle of learning outcomes to 50% of students and in the second cycle increased to 94.4% of students who reached the KKM. The author suggests elementary school teachers to apply the Guided Discovery Learning method in learning mathematics in order to improve student achievement.

This research discusses the application of the SSCS type problem based learning model to improve student learning outcomes in class X1 AK1 SMKN 1 Sungailiat. The research method used in this study is PTK that is done with the type of search, solve, create, and share (SCSS) in the subject of Accounting material about closing journal. The findings show: 1) the SSCS type problem based learning model can improve student learning outcomes, this can be proven by comparing the test scores in each cycle. 2) this learning model is also able to overcome miss-matches, especially on social concepts that are abstract and require real evidence from real life to brought into the learning process. 3) obstacles encountered related to the application of this learning method namely: a) the teacher involved was not accustomed to using PBL learning models with this type of SSCS before, so that it had a little difficulty in applying it. After several meetings, the teacher is accustomed to adapt in optimizing their use for learning activities of students in the classroom. b) students want the learning phase and the experiments they do are designed to be more interesting and interactive, and contain examples of real activities that are more related to the material discussed.
