The article is about identification of statistical patterns in the field of trademarks and service marksregistration. To identify patterns, official statistical data provided in the relevant state collections were used. The analysis of dynamic changes in the certificates and the filled applications allowed us to indicate positive conclusions about the intellectual property registration in Russia. The article also provided the hypothesis of the dependency between the number of organizations in a certain region and the number of registered trademarks and service marks. It was concluded that the hypothesis put forward about the presence of a possible dependence between the number of organizations in a certain region and the number of registered trademarks and service marks was partially confirmed. There really is a pattern, that is, with an increase in the number of organizations in a certain region, the number of registered trademarks and service marks increased, but it was not possible to build a clear mathematical model of dependence.

The problem of influence of sinter production technological factors on silicon content and particularly variations of Si (ΔSi) in hot metal is actual for the up-to-date metallurgy.Traditional methods and plans of studies of BF heat running at present are considered less precise and effective comparing with up-to-date methods of mathematical and computer simulation, since the last provide an ability to forecast and optimize numerous parameters of BF process.A complex mathematical analysis of dependence between hot blast temperature and ΔSi by application of the universal mathematical model, specially elaborated and adapted for industrial conditions of sinter plant operation of Alchevsk steel-works was the task of the study.Influence of hot blast temperature (X-Factory) on minimization of ΔSi (Y-Factory) studied. Complex mathematical analysis was carried out using statistical data collected during 65 months of Alchevsk steel-works blast furnace of 3000 m3 operation. Results of calculation of influence of hot blast temperature on ΔSi by application of the universal mathematical model presented. Minimization of ΔSi when optimizing hot blast temperature reached. Accuracy of calculation using the elaborated model was more 99% of actual operational statistic.

The article reflects the main aspects that should be taken into account in developing and changing the regulation of intellectual property sphere. Being harmful in some aspects, piracy also has a number of properties that can be useful for copyright owners: information, network and indirect effects. The paper presents a mathematical model showing the case where the protection of intellection activity result can cause more damage to public welfare than piracy itself. The findings show a need for tools more flexible than the intellectual property system so that every copyright owner can choose the required level of protection.

Statistical data on traffic accidents in 2008 in Lithuania is presented. Referring to statistical data, grounding on an obstacle’ makes one‐tenth of all registered traffic accidents ‐ 9.4% (an obstacle may be a road guardrail, a lamp post, a tree, a bar, a gate, etc.). Road guardrails of various types are installed on the shoulders and dividing strips of urban and suburban roads. They are as follows: reinforced concrete guardrails, cable guardrails and metal guardrails. Metal guardrails, consisting of S‐shape metal posts and a protective W‐shape horizontal beam, are most popular. The authors of the present paper examine the deformation processes of the elements of the above mentioned guardrail. A mathematical model of metal road guardrail was developed. Metal road guardrail was modelled using one‐dimensional first‐order finite elements, taking into account only elastic deformations, as well as the effect of soil on the buried post section of the guardrail. Based on the developed mathematical model of metal road guardrail, the deflections of its elements caused by the impact of a vehicle moving at varying speed were determined. The obtained values of deflections of guardrail elements (a protective W‐shape horizontal beam and a S‐shape post) presented in paper do not exceed the admissible values (of beam deflections).

A mathematical model for calculating contact mass loss resulting from bridge disintegration in vacuum The paper presents descriptions of bridge disintegration types and contact mass loss in the bridge stage. There is presented Matlab solvers to solve equation describing dynamic changes of temperature in the bridge region. The final result of program calculations is the mass loss and the volume of the metal of contacts which was lost during the bridge stage.

Trademark is one of the component of Intellectual Property (IP). It is a mark, name, sign, smell or a sound which distinguishes goods and services of one undertaking from goods and services of other undertakings. It is required to be distinctive and non-descriptive. It losses its distinctiveness when registered owner of trademark does not take prompt action against its infringement. Trademark enforcement procedures including administrative procedure must be expedient, adequate, fair, equitable, and must not be complicated, costly and time consuming. Administrative procedure starts when application for trademark registration is opposed by the registered trademark owner before the concerned administrative authority. Trademark registration authorities are: (i) Trademark Registry under Intellectual Property Organization of Pakistan (IPO-Pakistan) in Pakistan, (ii) Intellectual Property Corporation of Malaysia (MyIPO) in Malaysia, and (iii) United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) in United States of America (USA). The registered owner of trademark may apply before the concerned administrative authority against the registration of identical trademark by adopting administrative procedure of trademark enforcement. This study is qualitative method of research a comparative analysis of administrative procedure of trademark enforcement in Pakistan, Malaysia and USA. After a comparative analysis of administrative procedure of trademark enforcement in Pakistan, Malaysia and USA, it is found that there are only three IP Tribunals in Pakistan and there is a need of more IP Tribunals which is required to give its decision within 90 days resultantly saves time and money of the people. It is also found that there is Trademark Trial and Appeal Board at USPTO, where appeal against decision of the Registrar may be filed by the aggrieved party thus a similar kind of body is required to be established at Trademark Registry in Pakistan. Furthermore, IP experts should be hired at IP Tribunal and at Trademark Registry for smooth implementation of administrative procedure of trademark enforcement in Pakistan.

This article considers the trunk lines, connected with the feeder region as the external environment for the system - feeder lines (its subsystems are container flows, ports and container ships). Hub ports are considered to be the boundary of the system and the external environment. Thus, mathematical models were simulated for the two levels. At the first level, container flows are determined (based on statistical data), which enter and exit the hub. At the second level, the mathematical model allows to find for the feeder line: volumes of container flows, the total capacity of the ships which serves the cargo, and parts of the distribution of this capacity between feeder ports.

AbstractA mathematical model is a reflection of knowledge on the real object studied. The paper shows how the accumulation of data (statistical data and knowledge) about the COVID-19 pandemic lead to gradual refinement of mathematical models, to the expansion of the scope of their use. The resulting model satisfactorily describes the dynamics of COVID-19 in Moscow from 19.03.2020 to 01.09.2021 and can be used for forecasting with a horizon of several months. The dynamics of the model is mainly determined by herd immunity. Monitoring the situation in Moscow has not yet (as of 01.09.2021) revealed noticeable seasonality of the disease nor an increase in infectivity (due to the Delta strain). The results of using balanced identification technology to monitor the COVID-19 pandemic are:models corresponding to the data available at different points in time (from March 2020 to August 2021);new knowledge (dependencies) acquired;forecasts for the third and fourth waves in Moscow.Discrepancies that manifested after 01.09.2021 and possible further modifications of the model are discussed

Reproducible pattern is a key characteristic of organisms. Many developmental patterns are known that it is orchestrated by diffusion of the factors. Herein, we reported a novel patterning that seems to be controlled by diffusion factors. Although it looks like the prickles randomly emerge on the stem of rose, we deciphered patterns for the position of prickles with statistical data and proposed a mathematical model to explain the process via which the pattern emerged. By changing the model parameters, we reproduce another pattern on other plant species. This finding indicates that the patterns between many species are organized by similar systems. Moreover, although the pattern of organisms is often linked to its function, we consider the spatial pattern of prickles may have a function to play the role of prickles effectively. Further studies will clarify the role of prickles and reveal the entity of diffusive factors.
