The article presents a new development of method and algorithm for performing secret separation in a threshold cryptomodule with masking transformation of the decoding operation. To solve this problem a recursive binary exponent division scheme and computational technology on the ranges of large numbers of the table-adder type, based on minimally redundant modular arithmetic (MRMA) are applied. A distinctive feature of the developed approach is usage the secret-original domain of finite residue rings for modules that have the form of powers of the number 2. This significantly reduces the complexity of the resulting decoding MRMA-procedure. Decomposition of scalable residues into large modules allows you to efficiently map the computational process being implemented to sets of easily implemented data extraction operations from table memory and their summation, providing a high level of performance, uniformity, and unification of basic structures. In terms of speed, the created MIMA decoding algorithm surpasses non-redundant analogues by at least l(19l-3)/(22l-6) times (l is the number of subscribers restoring the secret original). When l = 7...40 a (6.15...34.65)-fold increase in productivity is achieved.

The article describes a number of little-known methods for translating natural numbers from one number system to another. The first is a method for converting large numbers from the decimal system to the binary system, based on multiple divisions of a given number and all intermediate quotients by 64 (or another number equal to 2n ), followed by writing the last quotient and the resulting remainders in binary form. Then two methods of mutual translation of decimal and binary numbers are described, based on the so-called «Horner scheme». An optimal variant of converting numbers into the binary number system by the method of division by 2 is also given. In conclusion, a fragment of a manuscript from the beginning of the late 16th — early 17th centuries is published with translation into the binary system by the method of highlighting the maximum degree of number 2. Assignments for independent work of students are offered.

Much of what takes place in auditor-client management negotiations occurs in unobservable settings and normally does not result in publicly available archival records. Recent research has increasingly attempted to probe issues relating to accounting negotiations in part due to recent events in the financial world. In this paper, we compare recalls from the two sides of such negotiations, audit partners, and chief financial officers (CFOs), collected in two field questionnaires. We examine the congruency of the auditors' and the CFOs' negotiation recalls for all negotiation elements and features that were common across the two questionnaires (detailed analyses of the questionnaires are reported elsewhere). The results show largely congruent recall: only limited divergences in recall of common elements and features. Specifically, we show a high level of congruency across CFOs and audit partners in the type of issues negotiated, parties involved in resolving the issue, and the elements making up the negotiation process, including agreement on the relative importance of various common accounting contextual features. The analysis of the common accounting contextual features suggests that certain contextual features are consistently important across large numbers of negotiations, whether viewed from the audit partner's or the CFO's perspective, and hence may warrant future study. Finally, the comparative analysis allows us to identify certain common elements and contextual features that may influence both audit partners and CFOs to consider the accounting negotiation setting as mainly distributive (win-lose).

In the late 1950's and early 1960's, it became evident that some glaucoma patients developed elevations of intraocular pressure, which were difficult to control, following prolonged use of systemic or ocular medications containing corticosteroids (Chandler, 1955, Alfano, 1963; Armaly, 1963). In addition, some patients without glaucoma, when treated with steroids for long periods of time, developed clinical signs of chronic simple glaucoma (McLean, 1950; François, 1954; Covell, 1958; Linner, 1959; Goldman, 1962). Fortunately, the elevation of intraocular pressure was reversible if the drug was discontinued.Over the past decade, extensive investigation of the “steroid response” has been undertaken. For this presentation, the steroid response may be considered as a gradual elevation of intraocular pressure, occurring over several weeks, in an eye being medicated with corticosteroid drops several times a day. The elevation in pressure is usually accompanied by a reduction in the facility of aqueous outflow. When relatively large numbers of subjects were tested with topical steroids, so that a wide range of responsiveness could be observed, a variation in individual sensitivity was demonstrated. Frequency distributions of intraocular pressure or change in pressure following steroids showed a skew toward the high side. On the basis of trimodal characteristics which they observed in such frequency distributions, Becker and Hahn (1964), Becker (1965) and Armaly (1965, 1966) considered the possible existence of several genetically determined subpopulations. These investigators distinguished three subpopulations on the basis of low, intermediate, and high levels of pressure response. It was hypothesized that these levels of response characterized three phenotypes, corresponding to the three possible genotypes of an allele pair, wherein one member of the pair determined a low level of response, and the other member determined a high level of response (Armaly, 1967).

During the last decades under the enthusiastic and competent guidance of Mr Chiarmetta SSM processes attained in Italy at Stampal Spa (Torino) an unquestionable high level of industrial development with the production of large numbers of high performance automotive parts, like variety of suspension support, engine suspension mounts, steering knuckle, front suspension wheel, arm and rear axle. Among the most highlighted findings SSM processes demonstrated their capability to reduce the existing gap between casting and forging, moreover during such a processes there are the opportunity to better control the defect level.Purpose of this paper is to highlight the research work and the SSM industrial production attained and developed by Mr G.L. Chiarmetta, as well as to give an overview concerning some alternative methods for the production of enhanced performance light alloys components for critical industrial applications and to present an analysis of a new rheocasting process suitable for the manufacturing of high performance industrial components.

7526 Background: Cardiovascular side effects (CVSEs: atrial fibrillation, hypertension, etc.) are common in patients with chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL) treated with ibrutinib and often lead to dose reductions or discontinuation. However, the etiology of ibrutinib related CVSEs has not been elucidated. This study sought to interrogate the association between ibrutinib related CVSEs and polymorphisms in genes of the Bruton Tyrosine Kinase (BTK) signaling pathway (identified through Ingenuity Pathway Analysis) Methods: Newly diagnosed and relapsed patients with CLL who underwent treatment with ibrutinib between December 2019 and November 2020 at Levine Cancer Institute were identified. Buccal swabs were collected through an IRB approved specimen collection protocol. Data extraction included: demographics, CLL stage, cytogenetics, previous treatments, ibrutinib start dates and dose, drug related SEs, and other medications. DNA isolated from buccal swabs was genotyped for 40 single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs) in GATA4, SGK1, KCNQ1, KCNA4, NPPA and SCN5A genes using a custom NGS panel. Logistic regression analysis evaluated the association between SNPs and CVSEs. Results: In 50 evaluable patients, the median age was 71 years (range:48-90) and 50% received frontline ibrutinib monotherapy. CVSEs occurred in 20% of patients (n=10). In univariate analysis, 4 SNPs in 3 genes were significantly associated with CVSEs (Table). Because the genes were in the same pathway, a genetic risk score was developed which indicated that patients with at least 2 SNPs had a 12-fold increase in risk of CVSEs (Table). Conclusions: Our findings provide insights into the genetic determinants of ibrutinib related CVSEs. If replicated in a larger study, this will facilitate utility of pharmacogenetic testing (for GATA4, KCNQ1 and KCNA5 polymorphisms ) as a clinical tool to individualize ibrutinib treatment.[Table: see text]

The mycobacterial embCAB operon encodes arabinosyl transferases, putative targets of the antimycobacterial agent ethambutol (EMB). Mutations in embB lead to resistance to EMB in Mycobacterium tuberculosis. The basis for natural, intrinsic resistance to EMB in nontuberculous mycobacteria (NTM) is not known; neither is the practical implication of resistance to EMB in the absence of embB mutations in M. tuberculosis well understood. The conserved embB resistance-determining region (ERDR) of a collection of 13 strains of NTM and 12 EMB-resistant strains of M. tuberculosis was investigated. Genotypes were correlated with drug susceptibility phenotypes. High-level natural resistance to EMB (MIC, . or =64 microg/ml) was associated with a variant amino acid motif in the ERDR of M. abscessus, M. chelonae, and M. leprae. Transfer of the M. abscessus emb allele to M. smegmatis resulted in a 500-fold increase in the MICs. In M. tuberculosis, embB mutations were associated with MICs of > or =20 microg/ml while resistance not associated with an ERDR mutation generally resulted in MICs of < or =10 microg/ml. These data further support the notion that the emb region determines intrinsic and acquired resistance to EMB and might help in the reassessment of the current recommendations for the screening and treatment of infections with EMB-resistant M. tuberculosis and NTM.

Image restoration manages conveying back the bended image to its original domain. It re-establishes the corrupted image into keener image. This paper centers around evacuation of noise strategies in medical images with denoising a point by point overview has been completed on various image denoising methods and their exhibitions were evaluated and it is an activity to examine and evaluate various variations of denoising methods to enhance their execution and visual standard.

The article is devoted to the problem of creation of high-speed neural networks (NN) for calculation of interval-index characteristics of a minimally redundant modular code. The functional base of the proposed solution is an advanced class of neural networks of a final ring. These neural networks perform position-modular code transformations of scalable numbers using a modified reduction technology. A developed neural network has a uniform parallel structure, easy to implement and requires the time expenditures of the order (3[log2b]+ [log2k]+6tsum  close to the lower theoretical estimate. Here b and k is the average bit capacity and the number of modules respectively; t sum is the duration of the two-place operation of adding integers. The refusal from a normalization of the numbers of the modular code leads to a reduction of the required set of NN of the finite ring on the (k – 1) component. At the same time, the abnormal configuration of minimally redundant modular coding requires an average k-fold increase in the interval index module (relative to the rest of the bases of the modular number system). It leads to an adequate increase in hardware expenses on this module. Besides, the transition from normalized to unregulated coding reduces the level of homogeneity of the structure of the NN for calculating intervalindex characteristics. The possibility of reducing the structural complexity of the proposed NN by using abnormal intervalindex characteristics is investigated.

Mobile traffic volumes have grown exponentially because of the increase in services and applications. Traditional networks are complex to manage because the forwarding, control, and management planes are all bundled together and, thus, administrators are supposed to deploy high-level policies, as each vendor has its own configuration methods. Software-Defined Networking (SDN) is considered the future paradigm of communication networks. It decouples control logic from its underlying hardware, thereby promoting logically centralized network control and making the network more programmable and easy to configure. Low-power wireless technologies are moving toward a multitenant and multiapplication Internet of Things (IoT), which requires an architecture with scalable, reliable, and configured solutions. However, employing an SDN-based centralized architecture in the environment of a low-power wireless IoT network introduces significant challenges, such as difficult-to-control traffic, unreliable links, network contention, and high associated overheads that can significantly affect the performance of the network. This paper is a contribution toward a performance evaluation for the use of SDN in wireless networking by evaluating the latency, packet drop ratio (PDR), data extraction rate (DER), and overheads. The results show that SDN adds a high percentage of overheads to the network, which is about 43% of the 57% user packets, and the DER drops when the number of mesh nodes are increased, in addition to the high loss that was observed for packets that traveled over more hops.

Like many midwestern cities in the nineteenth century, Cincinnati, Ohio, was home to large numbers of German immigrant musicians, among them the founders of the Cincinnati Grand Orchestra in 1872. Their model of musician-based organization eventually ran counter to the prestige-building potential of Western art music, which made it attractive to local civic leaders determined to earn respect for their city at a national level. The successful Cincinnati May festivals beginning in 1873 under the artistic leadership of conductor Theodore Thomas brought the city the desired renown. But the musical monumentality needed for large festival performances could not be obtained locally, leaving Cincinnati's players with opportunities to perform at a high level but without a way to define their performance as a significant achievement in the world of high art. Although their orchestra was ultimately unsuccessful, however, these musicians demonstrated an agency that transcends their historical obscurity and helps incorporate aesthetic and practical aspects of institution-building into the social arguments common to discussions of Western art music in the United States.
