<p class="IATED-Affiliation">Pupils should be more involved in their own education, allowed to ask questions, to express their own views and to creatively think and create. The creative process is essential for motivation based on interest, pleasure and a challenge gained in the process. To develop these skills alongside the theory and exercises practical research tasks and other creative activities have been introduced in Physics to the pupils of 8th grade. As pupils from interest in the subject they will want to participate, and the next task will probably involve more children. In order to encourage students to think in physics lessons and work creatively, propose them to make their own musical instruments, allow to prepare their own ideas and initiatives such as the shadow theater in the form of fairy tales, choose the number comprehensible experiments.<strong> </strong></p><p> </p>

This article investigates how the traditional attire and religious iconography of Cristóbal Balenciaga's (1895–1972) country of origin inspired his designs. The arguments presented here build on what has already been established on the subject, provide new data regarding the cultural context that informed the couturier's creative process (with which the Anglo-Saxon world is less familiar) and conclude by investigating the reasons and timing of his exploration of these fields. They suggest why this Spanish influence is present in his innovations in the 1950s and 1960s and go beyond clichéd interpretations of the ruffles of flamenco dress and bullfighters’ jackets. The findings derive from research for the author's doctoral thesis and her curatorial contribution to the exhibition Coal and Velvet. Balenciaga and Ortiz Echagüe. Views on the Popular Costume (Balenciaga Museum, Getaria, Spain, 7 October 2016–7 May 2017).

This study was aimed at identifying new effective forms that could facilitate the achievement of a practice-oriented result, i.e. students’ ability to communicate in any speech situation, as well as their readiness for various kinds of oral and written examination tests, including the public defence of projects in the 10th grade and writing December essays in the 11th grade. The article considers rhetorical competitions as a means of developing communicative and linguistic competencies among 10th–11th grade students of a polycultural school. The article provides recommendations on organizing such competitions, criteria for evaluating presentations, examples of oral presentations. A textual analysis of the folklore material of Dagestanian and Russian fairy tales and proverbs allowed the authors to conclude that an inexhaustible set of universal themes that have become the subject of reflection in different nations, can teach students to respect other cultures and extend their knowledge of the world and other people. The experience of a rhetorical competition in high school on the basis of fairy tales and proverbs of different nations is expected to help students form such core competencies as critical thinking, creativity, communication and cooperation (ability to work in a team).

The article presents some research approaches to the fairy-tale folklore of Bulgarians from the Republic of Moldova. According to the author, the fairy-tales texts of Bulgarians from the Republic of Moldova, their semantic, symbolic, and structural features should be researched as a local (regional) variant of Bulgarian folklore. Identification of ethnocultural markers in the fairy-tales of local Bulgarians on some different levels (such as on the subject, ethno-social and spiritual (church-religious) level) will allow to identify some peculiarities in the adaptation process of Bulgarians that migrated to a new ethnocultural zone, as well as to identify the level of preservation of basic ethnic mentality under the conditions of new “mental environment”. Thus, the study of regional ethnic culture is an interdisciplinary research, which allows discovering how localization in time and space affects ethnic culture, in general, and oral folk art, in particular.

AbstractThis paper is an attempt to analyze the necessity of defining and extending the protection of the child’s creative process. The starting point for consideration is the key role of artistic instruction in the child’s education and development which justifies providing appropriate framework for that process. The present text defines artistic output as a personal good covered by legal protection and specifies relevant legal regulations underlying the subject. It also reveals the position of the child as a creator with his/her specific characteristics and possible dangers arising from those characteristics. Another issue discussed here is the creative process and its components. In a further part, legal aspects of the child’s situation in the context of creative activity are analyzed with references to the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child (1989), the (Polish) Family and Guardianship Code (1964), the UN Declaration on Rights of the Child (1959) and other legal acts. Finally, the paper addresses objectives of arts education in the light of the discussed issues. Conclusions include an indication of certain similarity between some areas of interest in pedagogy and in law. The main conclusion comes down to a statement that in the education process we should take into consideration so-called creative integrity which constitutes a personal good of both the adult and the child, and which is covered by legal protection.

This study aimed to carry out an analysis of the scientific production on the sustainable innovation theme in the automotive sector in the last 10 years. The research was classified as literature, descriptive and exploratory. The process presented 31 articles aligned with the research topic in the Scopus database. The bibliometric analysis identified the most relevant articles, authors, keywords, countries, research center and periodicals that published about the subject from 2004 to 2016 in the Production Engineering domain. We concluded, through the systemic analysis, that the automotive sector is well structured on the issue of sustainability and process innovation. The innovations that this sector performs in its processes are incremental, because they are less risky, lower cost and less complex operations. However, some authors explain that radical innovations are needed in order to fit the prevailing environmental standards. The selected studies show that environmental practices employed in the automotive sector are: the minimization of greenhouse gas emissions, life-cycle assessment, cleaner production, reverse logistics and eco-innovation. Thus, it displays the need for practical research studies in automotive companies about the environmental practices employed and how these practices impact innovation.

This is a new year’s letter written by the founder of the Centre for Ecological Learning Luxembourg (CELL) to the executive board on the occasion of a journey to India. CELL is an independent, volunteer-led grassroots nonprofit organization founded in 2010 and based in Beckerich. CELL’s scope of action is the Greater Region of Luxembourg, hence its mode of operating through decentralized action groups in order to establish and maintain community gardens, food co-ops, and other social-ecological projects in different parts of Luxembourg. CELL also develops and organizes various courses, provides consultancy services for ecological living, participates in relevant civil society campaigns, and does some practical research on low-impact living. The broad objective of CELL is to provide an experimental space for thinking, researching, disseminating, and practicing lifestyles with a low impact on the environment, and learning the skills for creating resilient post-carbon communities. CELL is inspired by the work of the permaculture and Transition Towns social movements in its aims to relocalize culture and economy and, in that creative process, improve resilience to the consequences of peak oil and climate change.

The terms ‘creative’ and ‘aging’ are antithetical according to dictionary usage-‘create’ being explicitly described as an active process and ‘aging’ implicitly defined as a passive reactive one. This paper first briefly explores some divergent attitudes toward aging-negative as well as positive. A neurophysiological framework is then presented to support the belief that aging is an active and creative process. Physical, psychological and sociological aspects are explored in the context of neurophysiological data as it relates to the subject of aging. Finally, three factors which emerge from the discussion as essential to assuring a creative aging process are identified and examined.

The article is devoted to the problem of assessing the individual educational results of students in the process of additional education. This assessment in the concept of the authors is considered as the most important condition for the independent progress of the student along the individual educational trajectory. In this case, the student is the subject of its design. A model for assessing the individual educational results of students in the format of an educational event is proposed. The basic principle is formulated, which consists in fixing activity manifestations in a given situation, which testify to the student's ability to independently solve a creative task. These manifestations include: adequate understanding of the meaning of the problem being solved, competent determination of means and methods for solving it, competent access to various resources, and implementation of productive communications, ability to present and defend the solutions obtained. It is shown that the main components of such an educational event should be: joint solution of original creative tasks by students, expert-analytical support of this activity and free creative communication of different participants. A methodological scheme for the preparation and conduct of such an educational event is described. Its structural elements are: a preliminary analysis of data monitoring the development of students' creative activities; development and testing of a package of creative tasks; preparing a team of experts and equipping it with the necessary tools; development of the Festival program using a variety of creative communication formats of the participants; organization of information and analytical support of the Festival. Recommendations on the preparation of local working spaces for various types of activities of the Festival participants are given.
