The great curiosity of adolescents to explore things is often not accompanied by careful consideration so that sometimes the actions are risky for themselves, others, and the surrounding environment. One problem that can arise is reproductive health problems. This training took place at the Muhammadiyah Health Vocational School in Palangkaraya and State High School 1 Palangka Raya with the reason that based on the results of interviews and questionnaires about knowledge of adolescent reproductive health which was still in the low category, no similar training had been carried out at the school. Students at the Vocational School are still teenagers too because they are engaged in health, which will go into the community and can then educate on Adolescent Reproductive Health. Peer groups can be used as a substitute for family, can function to stabilize the influence during the transition as a source of self-esteem, protection from adult coercion. Counselors who use peer counseling services can identify themselves with their peers, and the counselees assume that peer counselors have a willingness to build communication bridges. The results of this activity indicate that there is an increase in the average value of peer counseling skills in the field of adolescent reproductive health. The mean pre-test was 40.8, and the post-test mean was 67.4.

As a result of risky sexual behavior that can be exposed to sexually transmitted diseases such as HIV / AIDS and others. In controlling their reproductive health, adolescents have never been examined by health services. The view of teenagers regarding deviant sexual behavior is that it is illegal which if done is a big sin and can interfere with brain health.

This brief is based on a background paper prepared for the WHO/UNFPA/Population Council Technical Consultation on Married Adolescents, held in Geneva, Switzerland, December 9–12, 2003. The final paper is entitled “Including married adolescents in adolescent reproductive health and HIV/AIDS policy.” The consultation brought together experts from the United Nations, donors, and nongovernmental agencies to consider the evidence regarding married adolescent girls’ reproductive health, vulnerability to HIV infection, social and economic disadvantage, and rights. The relationships to major policy initiatives—including safe motherhood, HIV, adolescent sexual and reproductive health, and reproductive rights—were explored, and emerging findings from the still relatively rare programs that are directed at this population were discussed. Married adolescent girls are outside the conventionally defined research interests, policy diagnosis, and basic interventions that have underpinned adolescent reproductive health programming and many HIV/AIDS prevention activities. They are an isolated, often numerically large, and extremely vulnerable segment of the population, largely untouched by current intervention strategies. As stated in this brief, promoting later marriage, to at least age 18, and shoring up protection options within marriage may be essential means of stemming the epidemic.

Adolescent reproductive and sexuality health in Indonesia is still low, this can be seen from the many cases of pregnancy out of wedlock, violence during courtship and abortion with high-risk drugs. The understanding of adolescents about reproductive health is the provision of adolescents in healthy and responsible behavior. But not all teenagers get information about reproductive health. This limitation of knowledge and understanding can bring teenagers towards risky behavior. This is a lack of information about sexuality and reproduction. Cadres health has a big role in realizing the optimal level of community health. Community service is carried out in two (2) junior high schools, namely Dharma Pancasila Private Junior High School (260 students and 21 cadres trained) and Al-Fhatiyan Private Middle School Medan (199 students and cadres trained by 16 students). The method used is by: 1. counseling with material on adolescent reproductive health; 2. cadre training; 3. Cadre mentoring. Evaluation of program success: pre test and post test cadres and student participants. Based on the results of the questionnaires distributed to students, the majority of data was 13 years old (47.5%), male sex (54%), high school parents education (62%) and entrepreneurial work (96.6%). The results of the dependent test obtained data, average knowledge before health education 26.23 and after health education39.58. The mean difference is 13,349 and the standard deviation is 3,911 and 95% CI 13,707-12,990. Based on the results of statistical tests obtained P = 0.001, it can be concluded that there is an influence of adolescent reproductive health cadres on student knowledge. For attitudes obtained data on average attitudes before counseling 27.57 and after counseling 39.58. The mean difference is 13,349 and the standard deviation is 3,802 and 95% CI 12,362 - 11,664. P value = 0.001 it can be concluded that there is an influence of adolescent reproductive health cadres on student attitudes. This PKM activity is useful in increasing knowledge and attitudes towards adolescent reproductive health. With increased knowledge of the behavior of adolescents to risky sexual behavior, and if the attitudes of adolescents towards sexual behavior are good, it is expected that sexually well and adolescents are expected to be responsible for their reproductive healthKeywords: cadres, education, health, reproduction, adolescents
