Our previous research into this topic has proved that technical developments significantly affect processes and effectiveness of social innovation. The current process of this development is called Industry 4.0. The first part of the study deals with industrial evolutions and the process of Industry 4.0 is interpreted. The second part of the study presents national and international examples and good practices in order to examine the relationship between digitalisation and social innovation. The results of Industry 4.0 reveal that there is an increasing number of solutions for social innovation that are based on digitalisation and automation. The current digital revolution is radically changing societies and opening up new opportunities for social innovation. Industry 4.0 results in social innovation solutions that use artificial intelligence to improve and optimise processes.

Industry 4.0 or Digital Revolution ischanging the way we live, changing interactions withclients and companies, which inevitably implies thatboth existing business methods and financial servicesare not exempt from this change. In the bankingworld, accelerated digitalization has made banks intensivelyre-examine traditional business models,which means that they have to respond quickly andefficiently to the demands of their clients while offeringsafe and simple services for use. Security and trust arestill key determinants, and banks have developed innovativebanking services and products over the pastfew years, including secured systems that reliably protectdata and money of clients. However, just like anyindustrial revolution, both Industry 4.0 and its impacton the transformation of the banking sector carrywith themselves both positive and negative consequencesof this transformation. Digitalization of thebanking sector is in full capacity, with the fact that thisprocess also includes other component parts of the Industry4.0, such as blockchain networks, artificial intelligence,IoT, biometrics, cooperation of banks withFinTech companies, preparation of the platform andother services for the Generation Z and other.In this paper, we explore how increased competition,new legislation, and all the changes that camewith digitalization, will affect the banking sector inthe upcoming period, will the banking sector look significantlydifferent in the upcoming years, and will, despiteall technological changes, human factor, trustand security still be the key determinants.

<p>The relationship between women, technology manifestation, and likely prospects in the developing world is discussed in this manuscript. Using India as a case study, the paper goes on to discuss how ontology and epistemology views utilised in AI (Artificial Intelligence) and robotics will affect women's prospects in developing countries. Women in developing countries, notably in South Asia, are perceived as doing domestic work and are underrepresented in high-level professions. They are disproportionately underemployed and face prejudice in the workplace. The purpose of this study is to determine if the introduction of AI would exacerbate the already precarious situation of women in the developing world or if it would serve as a liberating force. While studies on the impact of AI on women have been undertaken in developed countries, there has been less research in developing countries. This manuscript attempts to fill that need.</p>

The quadruple helix models are widely used when you want to have an integrating vision of the strategies used to combat poverty in emerging countries, including Mexico. The objective of this chapter is to propose a novel model of quadruple helix based on ethics and CSR 2.0 that can lay the foundations to develop the Industry 4.0 in emerging countries. To achieve this objective, the author distinguishes between CSR 1.0 and 2.0. Second, these concepts are united with the economy of the common good and the economy of solidarity. These conceptual bases will allow us to develop the relationship between business ethics and the Industry 4.0 to reach some conclusions.

Digital transformation is the core value of the 4th industrial revolution or Industry 4.0. Although the efforts are focused on utilization and usage of technologies like artificial intelligence, internet of things, cloud computing, and many other technologies. We should focus in parallel on regulating the technologies to provide the proper road map and put the proper regulatory frameworks to remove uncertainties in development, investment, or implementation of technologies. Regulatory effectiveness is very important in saving time and rolling out technologies. In one initiative, regulatory technology (RegTech) will utilize the technology to enhance the regulatory process in financial sector; Regulation 4.0 is another; however, plenty of work is still ahead. Some regulators are keen to facilitate the emerging technologies and to see the consequences immediately, thus they use sandbox thinking in evaluating the impact at a small scale. In summary, this chapter will highlight the different practices and methodologies to regulate the digital transformation in the best way.

Digital transformation is one of the critical drivers of change in aviation as in many areas. Aviation operations are always aimed to be carried out with a high degree of safety and security standards. Efficient aircraft maintenance management makes a significant contribution to meeting these standards. The digital revolution offers excellent opportunities for safety, reliability, and efficiency advancement for aviation continuing airworthiness. This chapter provides a basic overview of aircraft maintenance processes and highlights some of the maintenance management issues. This chapter addresses some of the industry 4.0 technologies that have been tested for use or currently used in aircraft maintenance operations and discusses the impact of these technologies on current management problems. Consequently, this chapter is expected to present useful information and comments for the aircraft maintenance community, including managers and professionals, and encourage them to think about other possible innovations beneficial to their processes.

In this chapter, we draw a range of overall conclusions from our case-study based investigation of how local social innovations operate as vehicles of welfare reform. We reflect on the impact of the increased interest of policy-makers in social innovation and on the relationship between social innovation and other social policy paradigms, notably the established paradigm of social protection and its main contender, the social investment paradigm. We also discuss our main findings with regard to the mix of actors, resources and instruments supporting localized social innovations, the multi-scalar nature social innovations, its empowerment dimension and relationship with knowledge. Finally, we look at the consolidation of social innovation in specific welfare-institutional contexts.

Additive manufacturing technologies play an important role in Industry 4.0. One of the most prevalent processes is fused deposition modelling (FDM) due to its versatility and low cost. However, there is still a lack of standardization of materials and procedures within this technology. This work aims to study the relationship of certain operating parameters and the conditions of poly(lactic acid) (PLA) polymer with the results of the manufactured parts in dimensional terms, surface quality, and mechanical strength. In this way, the impact of some material characteristics is analyzed, such as the pigmentation of the material and the environmental humidity where it has been stored. The manufacturing parameter that relates to these properties has been the extrusion temperature since it is the most influential in this technology. The results are quite affected especially by humidity, being a parameter little studied in the literature.

The goal of this study is to investigate the direct and indirect relationships that exist between artificial intelligence (AI), social innovation (SI), and smart decision-making (SDM). This study used a survey design and collected cross-sectional data from South Korea and Pakistan using survey questionnaires. Four hundred sixty respondents from the public and private sectors were obtained and empirically analyzed using SPSS multiple regression. The study discovered a strong and positive mediating effect of SI between the relationship of AI and SDM, as predicted. Previous researchers have investigated some of the factors that influence the decision-making process. This study adds to the social science literature by examining the impact of a mediating factor on decision-making. The findings of this study will contribute to the local government in building smart cities such that the factor of social innovations should be involved in the decision-making process because smart decision-making would share such collected data with entrepreneurs, businesses, and industries and would benefit society and all relevant stakeholders, including such social innovators.

This study aims to investigate the influence of e-quality and online trust on customer engagement and e-word of mouth. In particular, this study explored and analyzed a relatively new relationship, the impact of customer engagement on e-word of mouth. The measurement model and conceptual model describing the relationships hypothesized in the study was evaluated, based on responses from 370 online purchasing customers who are students or office workers in Ho Chi Minh City. E-quality has a direct impact on online trust, which impacts online customer engagement of customers and e-word of mouth. Online trust has a direct effect on customer engagement and e-word-of-mouth. In particular, online engagement impacts on e-word of mouth. This study provides not only theoretical and practical meaning, and enables companies to realize the importance of customer engagement and e-word of mouth but also a number of solutions to help businesses build and increase their customer engagement and positive e-word of mouth.
