Creative thinking ability of students is still low and less attention in the implementation of the learning of mathematics. Some efforts are needed to foster creative thinking ability because of lack of creative thinking ability in the learning of mathematics. One of effort is applying Problem Based Learning (PBL) Model. The purpose of this research was (1) to describe the creative thinking ability of students during the learning process with PBL Model, and (2) to determine the increase of the creative thinking ability of students after implementation of PBL model. This research used mixed methods with concurrent triangulation strategy. Samples were selected by random sampling from all grade 8 students from one of junior high school at Banda Aceh, those were 28 students in class VIII-3. The instrument used to obtain data of the creative thinking ability of students after learning with PBL Model was test and observation. The instrument used to obtain data to determine the increase of the students’ creative thinking ability after learning with the PBL model were pretest and posttest. Test and observations were analyzed by using an assessment rubric of creative thinking abilities with descriptive qualitative method. The result of pretest and posttest were analyzed by statistical tests using t-test. The results showed that the students were creative in solving problems during the learning process with model of PBL. There was increasing creative thinking abilities of students after learning with PBL Model. The implication of this research indicates that creative thinking abilities of students increase through PBL model.

This study aims to reveal students' mathematical creative thinking skills which include indicators of fluency, flexibility, and originality by describing students' answers in solving cube and block problems. This research was conducted on the superior grade VIII students of MTsN 1 Makassar, totaling 39 students. The research subjects were taken as many as 6 people using the criteria for high, medium, and low group levels, every 2 students at each level. The instrument used is a creative thinking ability test, which consists of 4 items of description with qualitative descriptive analysis. The results showed that the students' mathematical creative thinking skills including the three indicators were very good based on the percentage value of each indicator being above 50%. In the fluency indicator, the percentage value is 100% for item number 1 and 95.83% for question number 2, the percentage value of the flexibility indicator for item number 2 and 4 is 95.83% and 91.67%, respectively, and the percentage value of the novelty indicator is questions number 2 and 4 are 75% and 70.83%, respectively. From the three indicators above, the percentage value of students' creative thinking ability is low when compared to the other two indicators, this shows that students are less able to produce unusual answers/ideas and the suitability of the answers given is very irrelevant to the problem.

Abstract: This study aims to improve students' creative thinking skills in science lessons by applying learning models using Problem Based Learning. The research subjects were 32 students in class VII G. The classroom action research was conducted in three cycles. Each cycle consists of four stages of activity, including planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. Written tests and questionnaires are used to measure creative thinking skills of cognitive and affective aspects. The results of the study were analyzed using descriptive percentage analysis and n-gain test to determine the increase in research results. Based on the results of the analysis, it is known that students' creative thinking abilities increased accompanied by an increase in classical learning completeness. The average percentage of creative thinking ability in the first cycle was 74.4%, the second cycle was 77.7%, and the third cycle was 81.5%. The percentage of completeness in the second cycle increased 9.4% and the third cycle increased 3.1% with the criteria of a low increase. It can be concluded that the Problem Based Learning model is able to improve the creative thinking skills of class VII G students in MTsN 5 Kediri. Keywords: Problem Based Learning, the increase of creative thinking skill, science lessons. This study aimed at determining the effectiveness of the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model in empowering the creative thinking skills of elementary school students in Pagergunung Ulujami Pemalang in social studies (IPS) learning. The research population was all fifth graders of the elementary school in Pagergunung Ulujami, Pemalang Regency, the sample of this study was taken using quasi-experimental, while data collection technique used pre-test and post-test techniques on students' creative thinking abilities. Meanwhile, the statistical test analysis technique used the proportion test and the difference between the two proportions. The results showed a significance level of 5%. The conclusions of the study are: (1) PBL model is effective in the aspect of students' creative thinking abilities, but less effective in the aspect of problem-solving abilities in IPS learning, (2) PBL model is more effective than conventional learning in both students' creative thinking and problem-solving ability.

The phenomenon in the classroom where teachers are still limited space to train and to improve students' creative thinking skills (CTS) on the topic of material elasticity is the main reason for this research. Information on improving students' creative thinking skills in material elasticity topics by implementing problem based learning model (PBL) in learning is also limited. Previous research has not revealed any effort related to improving students' creative thinking skills on material elasticity topics by comparing two different learning models. Therefore this study aims to reveal differences in student learning outcomes on material elasticity materials in PBL and conventional models. Based on the research results obtained information that students 'creative thinking skills scores using PBL model is higher compared with that of conventional learning. It also revealed at each meeting that the CTS indicator of students are always improve. It can be concluded that PBL is very effective in training and improving students' creative thinking skill in physics learning. Thus PBL can be recommended in improving students' creative thinking skills.

The aims of the research are to increase creative thinking skills and creative action through the implementation of Problem-Based Learning (PBL) model with green chemistry insight. The research design of mixed method experimental models embedded with a pretest-posttest control group was applied to measure the effectiveness of the application of the of Problem-Based Learning (PBL) model with green chemistry insight at the end of the learning activities to increase creative thinking skills and creative action of students in solving various environmental problems. The results showed that creative thinking before and after implementation of the experimental class is 82.42 and N-Gain 0.73 (high category), while that in the control class is 69.85 and N-Gain 0.32 (medium category). The assessment of the creative action begins from investigating groups of problem-solving ideas written on the outcome of the discussion groups. The consultation with the lecturer is carried out for the implementation of tasks, exhibit, communication (presentation), and rewriting in the form of reports in more detail results/ products of the creative activity that has been done and also the sustainability of the action. The application of the Problem-Based Learning (PBL) model with green chemistry insight is able to increase creative thinking skills and creative action of the students.

This study aims to determine the ability of creative thinking high school students in physics learning, know the form of assessment of creative thinking abilities. The study was conducted at SMAN 6 Yogyakrata. This type of research is a survey with a cross-sectional method that is a survey conducted once and at a time. The subjects were the principals, teachers of physics from SMAN 6 Yogyakrata and 30 grade XI students. observations, interviews, and questionnaires were used as data collection techniques. The data analysis method used was the quantitative-qualitative descriptive analysis. The results showed that the creative thinking ability of class XI MIA 1 students at SMAN 6 Yogyakarta can be said to be in the average and quite good category, although there are some students whose level of creative thinking ability is low. In addition, the form of assessment used by physics teachers has not been effective and accurate enough in assessing students 'creative thinking abilities. So it is recommended to use The Torrance Tests of Creative Thinking (TTCT) in physics learning because it has been proven to be accurate in assessing students' creative thinking abilities.
