This classroom action research was aimed at improving students’ learning activities and students’ English dialog skills in the state senior high school 3 Salatiga. The research was carried out in the state senior high school 3 Salatiga from January to June 2012. The subject of the research was 38 students of grade XI natural science 2. While the objects of research were  rummy game method, students’ learning activities and students’ English dialog skills. This action research was conducted in two cycles. Each consisted of planning, acting, observing, and reflecting. In cycle 1, the researcher implemented  rummy game method with big groups and ready made cards while in cycle 2, the researcher applied  rummy game method with small groups and student designed cards. To collect the data the researcher gave self-assessment test and performance test before the first cycle, after the first cycle, and after the second cycle. The data analysis was done by descriptive comparison namely by comparing scores in the previous condition with those of the first cycle and the second cycle. The research findings revealed that there was significant improvement of average scores in students’ learning activities namely 13.8 % from 56.8 % in the previous condition to 70.6 % in cycle 2 and in students’ English dialog skill namely 5.8 from 72.7 in the previous condition to 78.5 in cycle 2. Hence, hypothesis stating that using  rummy game method is able to improve students’ learning activities and English dialog skill in the state senior high school 3 Salatiga grade XI natural science 2 even semester year 2011/2012 is proven right.Keywords:  Rummy Game Method; Learning Activities; English Dialog Skill

This study aims to find out: (1) learning activities of students in economic learning using a type of cooperative learning model Two Stay Two Stray, (2) knowing the improvement of students' financial learning outcomes after using the Two Stay Two Stray type learning model. Subject in this study was the X grade social studies at the Madrasah Aliyah Miftahul Jannah Palangka Raya as many as 20 students. The method used by researchers is using the Class Action Research (CAR) design. Based on the results of the study It was concluded that: (1) learning activities of students of class X IPS in Islamic Senior High School Miftahul Jannah Palangka Raya are more active during economic learning using the Two Stay Two Stray type cooperative learning model. (2) Learning outcomes students experience improvement, in the first cycle completeness classically reaches 55% (11 people) of students complete. In cycle II the percentage of learning outcomes increases namely completeness in classics reaches 95% (19 people) students who complete

This study aims to determine the implementation of process and activity learning used chemical poster elements to improve students learning activities in senior high school 1 in Pekanbaru in chemical elements subject. The method used an action research that consists of four stages: planning, implementation, observation and reflection. Responden were students of class XII MIA 7 Senior high school 1 in Pekanbaru. The indicators research was the implementation of chemical elements according to the poster as syntax, student activities during the learning process was able to achieve both categories. The research instrument used question for post test and student activity observation sheet. The results showed that the learning activities using chemical poster elements are at a good stage with achievement, in the first cycle was 60.67% and the second cycle was 68.08%.

Aims: The objective of this research was to investigate and analyze a programme model called Snake’s Singer to improve the ensemble skills of 10th grade matriculation-class students of SMA Taruna Nusantara. Study Design:  The design of this research is classroom action research. Place and Duration of Study: This research was conducted at Taruna Nusantara Senior High School, Magelang, Indonesia on November 16 - December 5, 2020. This research was conducted at Taruna Nusantara Senior High School. The implementation of activities is 60 minutes in 6 meetings on November - December 2020. Methodology: This type of classroom action research is carried out in two cycles; each cycle consists of 4 stages (planning, implementing the action, observing and reflecting). The data collection technique used the performance test by assessing the TIPPS (Tone, Intonation, Phrasing, Precision, and Style) aspects. Descriptive statistics is used to analyze the data. Results: The result shows that there is an improvement in students' musical instrument playing skills. This is proven by the increase of the average score achieved by students as followed 64.3 for pre-cycle, 73.8 for cycle I, and 81.1 for cycle II.

AbstractThis research was instigated by Chemistry subject at State Senior High School 1 Siak Hulu that was dominated by Lecturing method, and the low of student scores on Atomic Structure lesson in the Academic Year of 2016/2017.  This research aimed at knowing the effect of Joyful Learning model with Recitation method using Physical Self-Assessment learning strategy toward student learning achievement on Atomic Structure lesson.  Experimental method was used in this research with True experimental pretest posttest control group design.  Purposive sampling technique was used in this research.  The samples were the tenth-grade students of Natural Science 1 as the experimental group and the students of Natural Science 2 as the control group.  The used instruments were learning achievement test that was supported by observation sheet and documentation.  The research findings showed that tobserved score 2.74 and ttable was 2.00.  It showed that tobserved was higher than ttable, there was an effect on learning achievement, and the effect was 11.5%.  So, it could be concluded that there was an effect of Joyful Learning model with Recitation method using Physical Self-Assessment learning strategy at State Senior High School 1 Siak.Keywords:     Joyful Learning Model, Recitation Method, Physical Self-Assessment Learning Strategy, Learning Achievement, Atomic Structure

The objectives of the study are (1) to produce student worksheets based on APOS Theory for Math lessons in Class X Senior High School which is in line with the 2013 Curriculum; (2) to evaluate the effectivity of the student worksheets based on APOS Theory, in terms of the activity and result of learning Matrix. The results of the study are (1) the development of the worksheets (according to APOS Theory) were carried out through five stages, namely, analysis, design, development, implementation and evaluation; (2) the assessments performed by media experts, material specialists and subject teachers showed that the worksheets developed are feasible and could be used for students of Class X Senior High School; (3) the responses given by the students towards the worksheets were good; (4) the effectivity of the learning was elevated; it was shown by the increased learning activities of the students and the higher average score of the test (87.14), compared to the minimum criterion of completeness of 75.

This study focused on the anxiety and performance of the students in learning English specifically in speaking. It sought to find out anxieties and its causes that affect their English performance in terms of inter-language phonology, grammar and meaning system. The study covered the use of Foreign Language Classroom Anxiety Scale (FLCAS) developed by Horwitz et al. (1986) that measure the English learners’ anxiety levels while learning English in the classroom. The respondents of the study were the selected Grade 12 senior high school students from the selected public schools in Maguindanao Division, Philippines. Descriptive-correlational survey method was used in the study. The findings show that English language speaking anxiety does exist among Senior High School students in Maguindanao Division and their level of anxiety in learning English is high. It is further concluded that students’ anxiety levels in speaking English in terms of inter-language phonology, inter-language grammar and inter-language meaning system contributed to students’ performance in learning in English.

Activity-based method in English reading teaching in senior high school is put forward in the new National English Curriculum Standards for Senior High School (NECS). With the development of the times, the demand for hundreds of thousands of senior high school English teachers is changing, because educators stress a great attention to the application of the modern information technology and activity-based method. Therefore, around how to apply English activity-based method in the reading teaching in high school, this paper designs three learning activities to address the problems of the traditional teacher-centered teaching and the knowledge-orientated leaning. The result of this study can penetrate the consciousness of practical meaning into the frontline teachers by fully understanding the new conception and implementing it based on their own teaching needs.

AbstractThis research was instigated by the low of students creative thinking ability at State Senior High School 1 Perhentian Raja. This research aimed at knowing the effect of implementing Guided Inquiry learning model with student workbook toward student creative thinking ability on Colloid lesson at State Senior High School 1 Perhentian Raja.  It was Quasi Experimental research.  Simple Random Sampling technique was used in this research.  The samples comprised two classes, the eleventh-grade students of Natural Science 1 that were 33 students as the Control group and the students of Natural Science 2 that were 32 studentsas the Experimental group. The techniques of collecting the data were tests in the form of homogeneity test as the preliminary data, pretest and posttest as the final data, observation, and documentation. The instrument of this research was creative thinking ability test in the form of essay with the indicators of fluency, flexibility, originality, and elaboration. The pretest and posttest data were analyzed by using t test at 5% significant level.  The research findings showed that there was a significant effect of implementing Guided Inquiry learning model with student workbook toward student creative thinking ability on Colloid lesson that t was 4.268 and the score of Sig.
