The objective of this study was to analyze the relationship between antisocial behavior and academic achievement of high school students in Jimma town. Participants were 524 students 14-19 years old from government and private secondary schools. Cross sectional research designed was employed. Primary and secondary data were sources of this study. Results indicate that academic achievement was negatively associated with antisocial behavior. The result also shows that there is no significant difference between government and private schools in correlation of academic performance and antisocial behavior.The result also showed that there is a significant difference between male and female students’ academic achievement and antisocial behavior engagement, which is strong in male participants than female participants. To conclude the result showed there is a significant negative correlation between academic achievement and antisocial behavior. Therefore, the researchers recommends further studies to be conducted in the area, teachers also have to implement behavioral monitoring and modification strategies in secondary schools to minimize behavioral problem among students. Teachers, parents and other parties work together for better improvement of students’ academic and behavioral improvement.

The study aims to investigate the levels of teaching planning problems in the secondary schools, in Salt City in Jordan, in its three stages; planning problems of lesson’s preparation, planning problems of teaching implementation, and planning problems of teaching evaluation. To achieve this aim, descriptive analytical approach was used with a questionnaire which was used as the study instrument. The study sample was calculated to be (152) teachers who were selected randomly. The study results found that teaching planning levels in salt secondary schools were found in the medium level. Moreover, it was found that there is not significant difference between means of the sample’s responses about the problems of teaching planning due to the gender variable of the secondary schools ‘teachers. Finally, based on the study results, a set of recommendations were provided.

Many countries have incorporated computational thinking (CT) and programming languages into their science and technology courses. Students can improve their CT ability by learning programming languages. Moreover, situated learning enables students to generate knowledge and master problem-solving skills through interaction with situations. This study incorporated Webduino learning and the situated learning strategy into a programming course and analyzed its impact on high school students’ CT ability, learning motivation, and course satisfaction. A quasi-experimental research method was adopted, wherein the experimental group was subjected to the situated learning strategy and the control group was subjected to a traditional teaching method. The study results revealed that integrating Webduino programming with situated learning could effectively improve five categories of CT skills; moreover, the activity models of situated learning enhanced the value and expectation dimensions of learning motivation. In addition, satisfaction with the course content and self-identity slightly improved. However, because teachers were required to elaborate on stories to promote learner engagement with life situations, the time available for programming was limited. Thus, no significant difference was observed in teaching satisfaction.

The study aimed to examine the levels of aggression and violence of students and other professional groups who are Düzcespor football fans. For the research model, the survey model, one of the quantitative research types, was chosen. The study's data collection process was carried out during the 2019-2020 season of the Turkey Football Federation, and the population of the study consisted of Düzcespor fans between the ages of 12-68. The sample of the study, on the other hand, consists of 498 people who voluntarily participated in the study using the random sample selection technique. As a result of normality tests (Kolmogorov-Smirnov and Shapiro Wilk), it was determined that the scores obtained from the scales did not show a normal distribution. For this reason, non-parametric tests Mann Whitney-U Test, Kruskal Wallis Test, and Bonferroni Test, one of the Post Hoc tests, were used to determine which group caused the significant difference between the groups as a result of the analysis. Frequency, percentage, minimum, maximum, average, and standard deviation values were also used to analyze the data. The level of significance was determined as p < 0.05. The study's findings showed that Düzcespor supporters had moderate aggression and violent behaviors. There was a significant difference between the variables of gender, age, education level, occupation and income, and aggression and violent behavior. The study results revealed that aggression and tendency to violence are higher in males, younger people, high school students and people with low income.

The health benefits of physical activity are empirically supported and well accepted. However, the relationship between physical activity, physical fitness, and academic performance remains to be clearly established. The purpose of this study was to identify the relationship between physical fitness and academic achievement among a sample of Illinois high school students. Analyses were based on the 2016–2017 school year Archival Fitnessgram physical fitness test scores and cumulative GPAs of ninth- through twelfth-grade students (N = 371). Pearson correlation assessed the relationship between physical fitness and academic performance. Multiple linear regression predicted students’ academic achievement. There was a positive association between total fitness and academic achievement, although not statistically significant, r (369) = .002, p = .49. The regression prediction model was statistically significant (p < .001) and accounted for approximately 25% of the variance in academic achievement (R2 = .256, adjusted R2 = .246). Academic achievement was predicted by total number of absences and gender, and to a lesser extent by socio­economic status, the curl-up, and ethnicity. The findings of this study suggest a positive association between physical fitness and academic achievement. These results are potentially relevant to the development of future education policies. Thus, policy makers, school administrators, and educators must use the knowledge gained in this study, along with existing research, as evidence to emphasize the importance of the fitness–academic link, to further support the need for quality physical education curriculum and mandated physical fitness testing.

Classroom climate is a comprehensive set of educational, psychological, social, cognitive, organizational, and physical variables that may affect the academic achievement of learners. Perceptions of students in their learning environment affect the way they perform in the classroom. However, classroom climate is a less explored construct creating much dearth on the local literature. Hence, the paper aimed to determine the degree of classroom climate in terms of discipline, learning, assessment, student interactions, attitude, and culture. Moreover, it also assessed if a significant difference exists when assessors are grouped according to the designation. Likewise, it determines the correlation between classroom climate and academic performance of junior high school students in a public school in Antique.

This descriptive-comparative research explored the level of grammar proficiency and sequencing skills in narrative writing of the Grade 7 students. Specifically, it sought to determine the significant difference in the level of grammar proficiency and sequencing skills. The 308 Grade 7 students selected through stratified proportional sampling answered the researcher-made instrument. The findings revealed that the students have a low level of grammar proficiency and average level in sequencing skills as a whole. Moreover, a significant difference exists in the level of grammar proficiency and the level of sequencing skills of students when grouped according to academic performance in English and track, while no significant difference exists when the students are classified according to sex. The results imply that students can sequence events in a narrative. However, they find difficulty in writing grammatically correct sentences. With this, instructional materials may be designed to develop the students’ proficiency in writing.

This study describes the academic achievement level in Algebra of the public secondary school students in the new normal as a whole and when grouped according to sex and parent's highest educational attainment. Utilizing descriptive-comparative and correlational designs, the academic achievement level, significant differences and relationships among the variables, and the perceived learning difficulties in Quadratic Functions were determined using mean, Mann-Whitney, Kruskal Wallis, Chi-square test of association, Spearman rank correlation, and frequency and percentage distribution. Results showed that the academic achievement level was low; no significant difference and relationship between sex and academic achievement level; there was a significant difference and relationship between parent's highest educational attainment and achievement level, and students' top difficulty is transforming quadratic functions into the form f(x)=[a(x-h)^2]+k. Therefore, Algebra teachers, school heads, and parents should take necessary interventions to address the problem.

The purpose of the study was to investigate how feedbacks from teachers affect the academic achievement of New Edubiase Senior High School students in the Adansi South District of Ghana. The descriptive survey design was employed for this study. The researcher used questionnaire as the main instruments for data collection. The target population for the study was all the teachers and students of New Edubiase Senior High School. In all, 60 teachers and 60 students were used for the study. Simple random and purposive sampling strategy was employed to select respondents for the study. Percentages were used for the analysis of the response and presented in tables and charts. Findings showed that students of New Edubiase Senior High School are aware of the importance of teachers’ feedback, both formal and informal type of formative assessment is used in assessing students of New Edubiase Senior High School by their teachers but the type of formative assessment that is mostly used in assessing students is formal. The study also found out that feedback help students to know the benefit of learning, encourages students to be more active and participate in class activities, help students to internalize and process the demands of task given to them by their teachers, increases self-esteem of students, guides students in on their performance, feedback deepen the understanding of students on their performance and also clarify what students should do. The study concluded that feedback can be used as an effective teaching tool by teachers in improving students’ academic achievement. Based on the findings, it was recommended that teachers of New Edubiase Senior High School should use formative feedback effectively as an effective tool on student learning and achievement and must also see the importance of assessment and clearly show how feedback can have a positive impact on student learning. The study sought to establish the relationship between teachers’ workload, class size and students’ academic performance from five selected secondary schools in Singida urban. The study was guided by  three objectives and three research hypotheses. The study employed correlational cross-sectional design. A sample size of two hundred nighty four respondents was randomly chosen from five secondary schools. A self-administered questionnaire was used to collect information from respondents. The collected data were analysed by Statistical Package for Social Scientists (SPSS) using Karl Pearson’s Linear Correlation Coefficient and Multiple Regression Analysis to assess the correlation between teachers’ workload and class size and students’ academic performance. The study results indicated that, there was no significant relationship between teachers’ workload and students’ academic performance in surveying secondary schools in Singida Urban at the five percent level of significance. Further, the findings show that class size was positively correlated with  students’ academic performance in secondary schools in Singida urban. Also,  there is a significant difference between teachers’ work load and class size in relation to students of academic performance in selected secondary schools in Singida urban.  Based on the study findings, it is recommended  that, emphasis should be directed at improving class size if teachers and education stakeholders in Singida urban have to increase students’ academic performance. The study concluded class size is found to be the best predictor of students’ academic performance in the surveyed secondary schools in Singida Urban.

Self-discipline in academics is the firmness of students in training themselves to be better in their learning. E-learning is now a growing learning method in every corner of the globe. It is able to speed up teaching and make the learning process last a lifetime. In Malaysia, the effectiveness of e-learning among school students may differ from IPT students where e-learning has a positive impact on IPT students. It was found that not many studies have been done on high school students related to distance education using e-learning methods. This quantitative descriptive study was conducted to find out the level of self-discipline of secondary school students in the world of e-learning during the period of the Covid-19 Movement Control Order in Malaysia as well as its relationship with gender and academic performance. The sample of this study was randomly selected consisting of 165 respondents of upper secondary students in Form Four and Five at SMK Syed Sirajuddin, Perlis. To achieve the objectives of this study, a questionnaire was used to collect research information and data was analysed with the help of Statistical Packages for Social Science (SPSS version 26). Overall, the results of the mean calculation found that the level of self- discipline of students is at a moderate level. The results of the t-test found out that there was no significant difference between the levels of students’ self-discipline based on gender. Meanwhile, Pearson correlation test proves that students' level of self-discipline also affects their academic performance. At the end of this writing, some suggestions have been put forward. Finally, this study has an impact not only on the world of education where teaching and learning are in new norms but also on the world of information technology to further develop interactive learning.
