Food is anything that comes from biological sources and water, either processed or unprocessed, which is intended as food or drink for human consumption. This includes food additives, food raw materials, and other materials used in the preparation, processing and or manufacture of food or beverages. This food is very attached to the theme we are currently taking, namely "Sustainable Food Homes. Just like the theme we took, we finally built a sustainable food house in Midang Hamlet, Midang Village, Gunung Sari District. In making sustainable food houses, we are also assisted by local residents ranging from men or women, both young and old. We obtained land in Midang Hamlet which is also one of the lands leased by the village to be managed by POKDARWIS (Tourism Awareness Group). The purpose of making this sustainable food house is to optimize the existing land as a place for providing food for the local community. So that people can consume vegetables and some other food for free, easy and close. In addition to the POKDARWIS area, we also socialize with local people to take advantage of their respective yards. Besides being able to optimize their house yards, they can also save more for certain costs. Sambal builds a sustainable food house and does not forget that we also do counseling or presentations on plant care, nurseries and so on. So that local residents have knowledge about plant care and do not forget we also invite residents to carry out joint planting and distribution of planting seeds that they shared previously so that they can be taken home and cared for privately in their respective homes.

The birth of the Sirajuththalibin book was motivated by the emergence of malaise in the Javanese intellectual tradition, which had recently been penetrated by all forms of Western elements, so that what was said to be a treasure trove of Javanese knowledge or kejawen, was considered to be contrary to Islamic teachings. The author will try to explore the background of the writing of this book, which is lifted from the intellectual inclination of Kyai Ihsan Jampes. This article will discuss the content of Sirajuththalibin and the background for the birth of this text. The research method used is by reading critically from the Sirajuththalibin book. Disasters are inevitable.  The island resorts in Malapascua Island, Daan Bantayan, Cebu, Philippines are vulnerable to natural risks such as typhoons and earthquake. This article focuses on the participatory rights of local people living in the areas of extensive oil industry operations in the Izhemskii district of the Komi Republic in Russia. The district has long been suffering from oil leaks and resulting negative environmental impacts. Lukoil-Komi bought the business directly after the Soviet era and inherited the ecological threats related to old and rusty pipelines. Lukoil-Komi has promised to put things in order, but a great deal remains to be done. This article scrutinizes how statutory law and private governance interact in protecting the participatory rights of local people living in the vicinity of oil production in Komi. First, we evaluate what participatory rights Russian legislation guarantees to local people when oil production arrives in a new area or when new wells are being explored or opened. Second, we elaborate how the major oil company in the region – Lukoil-Komi – fulfills its corporate social responsibility (CSR) in the area of participatory rights and how local people feel about their possibility to exercise their participatory rights. As participatory rights, we discuss both procedural justice with public hearings and distributive justice in the form of benefit-sharing between the company and local community. The wider perspective on participation is due to Russian CSR practices. In Russia, companies tend to earn their Social License to Operate (SLO) through benefit-sharing, often within private governance. This practice is based on the social partnership agreements between authorities and companies. These contracts have path-dependent features resembling earlier Soviet solutions. The same can be claimed to apply to a wider SLO with more focus on local communities. We argue that Lukoil-Komi has not yet been able to achieve an SLO (local acceptance) due to the lack of participatory rights and continuing environmental problems. Most local people are not willing to trade a clean environment and participatory rights for the social benefits the company offers. However, the social partnership agreement concluded between Lukoil-Komi and a local NGO, Izvatas, could be a step forward in achieving a local SLO.

This article offers an account of two local options for healing available in contemporary rural Sichuan. Since the recent economic reforms, available healthcare options have multiplied due to social, economic and cultural changes. Yet, rising costs have entailed a narrowing of resources accessible to rural peasantry. In this context, research on the use of local alternatives becomes paramount. The barefoot doctor and bone manipulator discussed below offer accessible healthcare without conspicuously compromising its quality. Their position as members of the local community and experienced healers, who have been practising for over 30 years, enhances faith in their healing powers. A study of these practitioners offers insights into how local people evaluate their services, and highlights the importance of assessing their practice in the terms used by the locals themselves. Case studies drawn from fifteen months of research and experience of living in rural China illustrate that medical choices are situational, strategic and performative. Apparent inconsistencies between villagers' claims and daily practices become intelligible in light of the wider challenges they face. Indeed, evaluation of local healers cannot be divorced from peasants' experience of the cultural, social and economic setting. Focusing on the sufferers' own understanding, feelings and practices surrounding illness and health allows us to appreciate how efficacy is discussed, evaluated and established. In turn it highlights the continuing importance of local healing alternatives.

Understanding determinant factors in community participation is essential in encouraging community participation in tourism activities. However, community participation studies mainly focused on identifying community participation issues and reasons to advocate community participation. This research aims at 1) exploring factors that affect community participation in tourism, and 2) proposing strategies to encourage active participation by the local community. This paper employs a qualitative methodology conducted in 2019. The research reveals that community participation around Dutungan Island has three categories: supportive participation, micro business-based creation participation and passive participation. The determinant factors for community participation include; 1) private management of tourism attraction; 2) lack of collective awareness by the local community, and 3) lack of skills and knowledge in tourism. This paper proposes the importance of implementing communitybased tourism village; strengthening cooperation between the owner or manager of Dutungan Island and the local community; and optimising Dutungan Island management’s role to help the local people who reside the village. Dutungan Island’s manager should be able to share profit to help the local people through social programs that may include training for the local people and providing investment for micro business. This paper provides insight into how to encourage community participation through the role of different stakeholders, including the island and the local community.
