Background: Musculoskeletal disorders are common consequences of inappropriate computer work conditions. Employees are job groups who spend many office hours working on computers. The present study was conducted to investigate the prevalence of musculoskeletal disorders among computer users of the health network of Lordegan city and its impact on their daily activities. Methods: This research was applied in terms of purpose and was determined as one of the quantitative researches.  This descriptive-analytical study was performed with the use of systematic random sampling, and the samples were picked from the statistical population of 500 employees of Lordegan Health Network. A sample size of 217 persons was selected, which had at least one year of work experience and at least 3 hours a day working in front of a computer. The Cornell questionnaire was applied in order to specify the rate of pain and discomfort and its effect on the employees' daily activities. Then, the ROSA method was utilized to assess the ergonomics of the office strain rate of users. The results were analyzed with the use of the chi-square test and SPSS v.25 software. Results: A significant difference was seen between the rate of pain and discomfort and the effect of pain on daily activities in different body parts of computer users based on age, work experience (P<0.05). Also, there was a significant difference between ROSA final score and age variables and work experience (P<0.05). The results of the ROSA evaluation declared that 53.9% of persons were exposed at medium to high-risk levels. Conclusion: The ROSA method was appropriate for detecting risk factors for office work and was able to identify deficiencies existed in workstations. Concerning the postures and jobs in the office department, the ROSA method was able to identify musculoskeletal disorders of the office employees in health care. The CMDQ questionnaire could determine the rate and effect of pain and discomfort on different body parts for these employees.

The study on work conditions, lifestyle, psychosocial factors and health was carried out in three different urban motor transport companies. 788 workers of the main occupations were interviewed using a questionnaire. The main occupational hazards are low air temperature, draughts, exposure to diesel fuel, cooling oil, noise, vibration, musculoskeletal exertion. Workers do not lead a healthy lifestyle: 46,0 %-are smokers, 83,0%-use alcohol, 53,0% are physically inactive, 82,0% lead a malnutrition regimen, 27,0% experience stressful situations at work every day. Musculoskeletal disorders make up 46,2 %, respiratory 22,2 %, gastrointestinal 17,3 % and central nervous system dysfunction 32,2 %. Musculoskeletal disorders are related to poor ergonomic and workplace design, long working hours, senior age and long professional work experience (p<0,05-0,002).

Computerization and digitization are effects and the engines of development at the same time. Computers surround both work activities and beyond. There are several benefits available, including the faster, easier, and cheaper way of managing our tasks. However, there are undesirable health impacts to consider, but these are less pronounced. Exploring these impacts and preventing the occurrence is essential for improving the efficiency of computerization. The study focuses on the effects of computer work by analyzing its exhausting characteristics and the tiredness or pain in different body parts. The research method uses a survey of full-time and parttime higher education students. The sample consists of 200 randomly selected responses collected between 2018 and 2019. It allows analyzing the differences of perceptions between respondents with and without job experience. Beyond descriptive statistics, ANOVA and correlation analysis was conducted for exploring the relations. Data analysis was supported by IBM SPSS version 25. The results show that the perceived undesirable health impacts are timeless and ageless. Eye-related problems, as well as back and shoulder, are considered the most critical by the respondents. The main implication of the study is that more attention must be paid to the field, appearing in regulations and developing training programs for computer users. The results presented in this paper aim to highlight the importance of the prevention of harmful symptoms of computer work, which are not in the mainstream right now.

Introduction: Musculoskeletal disorder can result from extreme physical demands at work. It has risen, mainly due to high muscle demands and static postures and generates a significant economic burden to the companies. This short review aims to point out the statistics of the most affected body parts by work-related musculoskeletal disorders, assess absenteeism and presenteeism costs, and evaluate the effectiveness of the interventions. Methodology: According to the PRISMA Statement, the search was performed in 5 electronic databases (Scopus, Web of Science, Science Direct, Pubmed). Articles selection was made by the title and abstract analysis, especially those aiming to explain and validate the subject. If the abstract fulfils the objective, the articles were read, and studies were considered that met the defined eligibility criteria. Were chosen articles that realised measurements or considered interventions in healthy human beings, especially in the working population, dated from 2015 to 2020. Results and Discussion: The scrutinised articles were conclusive that the most affected part of the body are the upper limbs, the neck and the upper back. The statistics ofthe affected workers varied according to the country and analysed tasks, but they converge concerning the most affected body parts. It could be noted that women are more affected by musculoskeletal disorders than men, especially older women; the reason, however, is not clearly explained. Muscle injury can lead high economic burden, mostly due to absenteeism and presenteeism. It was noted that the expenditure due to presenteeism is higher comparing to absenteeism in both developed and emergent countries. Conclusions: Due to high costs, companies are deploying strategies to improve work conditions and aware the workers about health and safety. Interventions have shown to be effective in reducing the risk of injuries. Work-related musculoskeletal disorders canbe extremely damaging to the workers’ health and are costly to the companies. Support supervisor interventions effectively improve work conditions and reduce the risk of damaging outcomes, increasing workers’ health, work ability, and, consequently, productivity.

Introduction. Working in dental practice requires clear working field and easy access to all parts of oral cavity. For this reason, dentists often take non-physiological positions during treatment increasing the risk for musculoskeletal disorders. The aim of this study was to determine the prevalence of musculoskeletal disorders in dentists with different work experience in Novi Sad. Material and Methods. The study included 89 dentists. Data related to musculoskeletal disorders was collected using a questionnaire. Potential risk factors for musculoskeletal disorders were detected and analyzed. Results. Out of 89 dentists, 32 (36%) were male and 57 (64%) were female. Musculoskeletal disorders were detected in 62 dentists (69.7%). 50% of dentists reported pain during first three years of work in the office, while others noted these problems later. 49 dentists (77.8%) reported increasing pain during the day. Of the total respondents, 76.2% had pain in neck, 71.4% reported discomfort in the upper part of their back, 68.3% in the region of shoulder, and 65.1% complained for pain in lower back. Lower prevalence of pain was found in the region of wrists and hands, hips, knees, ankles and elbows. Statistical analysis did not show significant difference between observed risk factors. Conclusion. The prevalence of musculoskeletal disorders in examined dentists in Novi Sad was 69.7%. It was higher in male compared to female respondents. Most dentists had musculoskeletal disturbances in the region of neck, shoulders and upper back.

Abstract Objective The objective of the study was to evaluate the computer workstation settings and the prevalence of musculoskeletal (MSK) related problems in computer users of bank. Methods A cross-sectional study was conducted among100 computer users of State Bank of Pakistan, Faisalabad and National Bank of Pakistan, Faisalabad from March to December 2017. Inclusion criteria of the study were male and female bank workers, age between 25–60 years who use desktop computers for at least 3 h a day and had at least 6 months working experience. Cornell Musculoskeletal Discomfort Questionnaire (CMDQ) was used to determine prevalence of MSK problems while Rapid Office Strain Assessment (ROSA) tool was used to evaluate Computer Work-Station (CWS) ergonomic parameters. The data was analyzed by descriptive statistics and variant correlation using SPSS version 20. Results The mean CMDQ was higher (43.0 ±33.6) in female than male (16.9±20.8) and there was significant association between gender and total discomfort (P=0.001). The discomfort was higher among females then males. The body parts reported to have the most significant levels of discomfort was the neck and head (mean 3.595±7.49), lower back (2.75±5.39) and right shoulder (mean 2.15±4.32).About 40% subjects suffered from neck pain while the remaining body parts having discomfort were right shoulder (39%), left shoulder (37%), and low back (36%).Almost 90% of the participants had ROSA score greater than 5 that shows that most individuals were at higher risk of ergonomics hazardous. Conclusion The results of the present study demonstrated that MSK discomfort is common among computer users of bank employees and neck, shoulder and lower back region were at greater risk. MSK discomfort was higher in females. Workers are exposed to ergonomic hazards and need immediate improvement.

Abstract The study is based on the National Science Program 'eHealth in Bulgaria (e-Health)', funded by the Ministry of Education and Science. Partnership Contract No. D-01-200/16.11.2018. Background The focus of the European Health and Safety Agency's 2020-2022 campaign is on the prevention of work-related musculoskeletal disorders (MSD). In the employment of medical professionals, they are common. The introduction of eHealth in Bulgaria supports the processes of information, monitoring and prevention. Methods An adapted Neck Injury Index (NII) questionnaire was developed by: Vernon, H. & Mior, S. (1991) to determine specific injuries in the cervical spine, administered to 251 healthcare professionals from a large medical establishment. Results A study of the relationship between gender and the answers given in the ten sections of the questionnaire revealed a statistically significant difference in the answers for 'headache', 'driving' and 'sleeping' with p = 0.005, p &lt; 0.001 and p = 0.020 respectively. 74.6% of men and 63.7% of women gave negative answers for headache, no driving pain, with men leading by 92.3% and a lower proportion of women than 56.1%, and without any sleep disturbances. 94.9% of men and 68.9% of women surveyed. The relationship between the profession and the medical profession indicating symptoms of neck damage, statistical significance was confirmed except in the above sections and also in 'lifting weights' (p = 0.009) and 'reading' with p = 0.002. As 65.3% of physicians, 51.9% of healthcare professionals and 56.5% of paramedics have no complaints of additional neck pain when lifting weights. A significant correlation was also found between mild injury rate (10 to 28%) and work experience over 10 years in 53.5% of those working in the hospital (p = 0.031). Conclusions The multifactorial influence of gender, position, and special length of service in the surveyed health care professionals did not cause symptoms indicating specific changes in the neck. Key messages It is important to establish a database through the introduction of eHealth with an information system. Identification changes in health and the presence of MSD in working nurses.

Abstract: This paper aims to investigate the important factors affecting job satisfaction and motivation of teachers in college. The statistical population of this study includes 67 teachers at Zhejiang University of Science and Technology who have answered the questionnaire. The results of the study show the group of people whose age is above 46 show greater levels of job satisfaction and factors such as work experience have an impact on job satisfaction. Furthermore, we figure out the most essential factor is an increase in the teachers and professors salary. The study also showed that teachers are satisfied with work conditions and have identified that they need to raise their teaching level by further studies. According to the further analysis, a strict evaluation system does not give a suitable result in improving motivation.

Introduction: Prevalence of musculoskeletal disorders (MSDs) is high among office workers. One of the most important risk factors of these disorders is awkward posture and inappropriate environmental conditions. So, this study was carried out to determine frequency of MSDS and its related risk factors among the office workers of Minab city healthcare centers in 2018. Materials and Methods: This cross-sectional study was conducted on 104 staff in Minab city health care centers. Nordic musculoskeletal disorders questionnaire was applied to determine the prevalence of MSDs and Rapid Office Strain Assessment (ROSA) method was used for posture analysis. The data were analyzed by SPSS version 21 using descriptive statistics and chi-square test. Excel software was used to plot the graph. Results: The highest prevalence rates of MSDs were reported in low back (63.5%), neck (51.9%) and upper back (50%). There was no significant difference between MSDs and age, sex and BMI (P˃0.05) but there was a significant relationship with work experience (P˂0.05). Totally, 36.6% of employees were placed in the first priority of corrective actions (i.e. the need for ergonomic interventions as soon as possible). There was a significant correlation between awkward posture and neck pain (P <0.05). Conclusion: The frequency of MSDS in health center office workers was high and neck pain was related to awkward posture.

Introduction: The basic determinant of healthy behaviour—among other human behaviours—is the fact that it consistently affects health. Nowadays, health behaviour studies are considered to be an important method of measuring the health of a population. Objective: To assess the health behaviours and value-based health analysis of people aged 50+ who were hospitalized due to cardiovascular disease, depending on the selected descriptive variables. Materials and methods: The study was conducted between April 2018 and December 2018 among 411 subjects aged 50+ who were hospitalized due to cardiovascular disease at the Independent Public Health Care Unit in Sanok (Podkarpackie voivodship in Poland). The method used in the study was a diagnostic survey. The study used the authors’ survey questionnaire and two standardized tests: Inventory of Health-Related Behaviour (IHB) and List of Health Criteria (LHC). A statistical analysis was carried out in the R program, version 3.5.1. The obtained results were subjected to thorough statistical analysis using the following tests: Student’s t, Mann–Whitney U, ANOVA, Kruskal–Wallis, Fisher’s Least Significant Difference (LSD), Pearson, and Spearman. Results: The strongest correlation between health status and health behaviours (according to the IHB questionnaire) was in the area of ‘health practices’, while the lowest correlation was found in the areas of ‘correct eating habits’ and ‘preventive behaviours’. Based on the LHC questionnaire, the most important health criteria according to the subjects were ‘not feeling any physical ailments’; ‘having all body parts functional’; ‘feeling well’; ‘eating properly’; and ‘infrequent need of going to the doctor’. A positive correlation was found in the group of respondents where the ‘preventive health behaviours’ were more intense; herein, the more important criterion for the respondents was ‘eating properly’. Conclusions: Respondents aged 50+ and hospitalized for cardiovascular diseases indicated (based on the IHB questionnaire) that health behaviours in the area of ‘health practices’ had the strongest correlation with their health, while the lowest correlation was found in the areas of ‘correct eating habits’ and ‘preventive behaviours’. According to the respondents, the most important criteria determining health (according to the LHC questionnaire) included ’not feeling any physical ailments’; ‘having all body parts functional’; ‘feeling well’; ‘eating properly’; and ‘infrequent need of going to the doctor’. Based on the information collected from the respondents, it was found that the most important criteria determining health depended on selected descriptive variables, such as age, gender, place of residence, education, and marital status.

Work–family conflicts (WFCs) are common in the healthcare sector and pose significant health risks to healthcare workers. This study examined the effect of WFCs on the health status and nurses’ leaving intentions in Taiwan. A self-administered questionnaire was used to survey 200 female nurses’ experiences of WFC from a regional hospital. Data on psychosocial work conditions, including work shifts, job control, psychological job demands, and workplace justice, were collected. Health conditions were measured using the Beck Depression Inventory-II and self-rated health. Leaving intentions were measured using a self-developed questionnaire. The participants’ average work experience was 6.79 (Standard Deviation (SD) = 5.26) years, their highest educational level was university, and work shifts were mostly night and rotating shifts. Approximately 75.5% of nurses perceived high levels of WFCs. Leaving intentions were correlated with WFCs (r = 0.350, p < 0.01) and psychological work demands (r = 0.377, p < 0.01). After adjusting for age, educational level, and work characteristics, high levels of WFCs were associated with poor self-rated health, and depression, but not associated with high leaving intentions. Nurses’ experiences of high levels of WFCs greatly affected their health status.
