The study aimed to know The Level of Performance of Science Teachers in the Sultanate of Oman in Light of NSTA Standards from their Point of View. The study sample consisted of (126) science male and female teachers in the al-dakhliah governorate in the Sultanate of Oman for the academic year 2016/2017. The researchers developed a questionnaire to determine the level of performance of science teachers in light of NSTA standards, which consisted of 83 paragraphs divided into five standards. The results of the study indicate that the level of performance of science teachers was moderate. The results indicated that the highest level performance of science teachers was in teachers' knowledge and understanding of content, followed by the standard of understanding how students learn and use different methods to develop their knowledge. While the lowest level of performance of science teachers in the effective planning of educational units standard. The results also showed no significant differences in the performance of science teachers attributed to the gender variable or specialization variable, while there are differences of statistical significance attributed to the variable qualification scientific and for the benefit of Masters, and the existence of differences of statistical significance attributed to the variable number of years of service and for teachers who have years of experience more than ten years.

The study aimed at identifying the effectiveness of educational supervision in public schools in the Sultanate of Oman. To achieve the aim of the study, a questionnaire was designed. It consisted of 49 items distributed into five domains. The domains are: enhancement of instructional and learning processes; school's activities and media; implementation, assessment, and development of curriculum; assessment of instructional and learning process; and teachers’ professional development. The validity and reliability of the questionnaire were examined. The sample of the study consisted of 592 male and female teachers. The results showed that educational supervision in Oman had high effectiveness on enhancement of instructional and learning processes, school's activities and media, whereas, it had medium effectiveness on the other three domains. Based on the results, few recommendations have been suggested.

The study aimed at identifying the degree of effectiveness of educational supervisors in improving the educational practices of the post-basic education school teachers in the Governorate of Dakhlya in the Sultanate of Oman. To achieve the objectives of the study, a questionnaire composed of 34 items was designed. After checking the validity and reliability of the questionnaire, it was administered to 63 male and female teachers. The degree of educational supervisors' effectiveness in improving the educational practices of the post-basic education school teachers was at the average level. The study also indicated the absence of statistically significant differences (p. > 0.0 5) of the perception of effectiveness of supervisors in improving the educational practices of the teachers due to academic qualification, gender and experience. The researchers recommend that teachers should have training sessions to enhance their professional capabilities, specially, in the effective use of educational aids, preparation of teaching plans, production of educational aids, assessment, and strategies of teaching.

The study aims to reveal the level of professional development in basic education schools from the male and female teachers’ viewpoint in the Sultanate of Oman. It further aims to examine its relationship with some variables in light of Sullivan theory, and the differences in the level of professional development (teachers’ skills, professional participation, professional development problems) according to the gender variable, and the educational stage (first cycle/ second cycle). The study sample consisted of (93) teachers distributed as such: (46) male teachers, and (47) female teachers. A questionnaire was prepared and applied to measure the level of the professional development of the male and female teachers. The questionnaire consisted of (45) paragraphs. The researcher analyzed the means, standard deviations, and (T) test. Results have shown that that there is a high level of professional development among male and female teachers in the basic education schools in the Sultanate of Oman. Moreover, the dimensional levels have come first after teachers’ skills, second after professional participation, and third after professional development problems. Further, there are no statistically significant differences attributed to the gender and the educational stage variables (first cycle/ second cycle). The study has recommended the importance of benefiting from the applications of psychology and its theories in building, and developing the personalities of male and female teachers and in education sector’s professionals professionally, scientifically, socially, psychologically and academically. It has also recommended to encourage male and female teachers to pursue postgraduate studies and employ procedural research in electronic training and professional development operations.

This study aimed at defining the role of educational media in promoting the values of citizenship among students of secondary schools in Zarqa Education Directorate II from viewpoint of their teachers.The study used a descriptive approach. A questionnaire was developed, consisting of 30 paragraphs, which evaluated the role of educational media in promoting the values of citizenship among students of secondary schoolsin Zarqa Education Directorate II from viewpoint of their teachers. The validity and reliability of the study's tool have been verified. The sample of the study consisted of the schools' teachers of Zarqa Education Directorate II.They were 250 male and female teachers for the academic year 2016-2017 selected from among the schools of Zarqa Education Directorate II.The results of the study were as follows:-          The role of educational media in promoting the values of citizenship among the students of secondary schools in Zarqa Education Directorate II from the viewpoint of their teachers.-          In favor of females, there were statistically significance differences in the role of educational media in promoting the values of citizenship among the students of secondary schools from the viewpoint of their teachers due to gender variable.-          In favor of females, there were statistically significant differences in promoting of the values of citizenship among students of secondary schools in Zarqa Education Directorate II from the viewpoint of their teachers attributed to specialization variable.-          There were no statistically significant differences due to experience variable.The study recommended achieving the goal of education through the institutions of the Ministry of Education by educational media, and activating the role of educational media to develop the values of citizenship among the students of secondary schools.

<p>The present study was aimed to examine the relationship between psychological empowerment and spiritual intelligence with marital satisfaction in male and female teachers in Ahvaz from 2014 to 2015. Hence, 350 teachers were selected using random-stratified sampling method. Research tools were Spriters' psychological empowerment questionnaire (1995), Badie's et al. spiritual intelligence questionnaire (2010), Enrich's marital satisfaction questionnaire (1997); in order to do analysis, a Pearson Correlation Coefficient method and a regression method was used. Results showed that there is a relationship between psychological empowerment and spiritual intelligence with marital satisfaction in male and female teachers in Ahvaz. The results obtained from multi-fold regression analysis, using step-by-step method, showed that effectiveness, spiritual intelligence, and significance are able to predict marital satisfaction significantly. In addition, psychological empowerment has a closer relationship with spiritual intelligence, and spiritual intelligence has a closer relationship with marital satisfaction. </p>

The study aimed at investigating the level of the social intelligence among the male and female principals in TafilaGovernorate from the teachers views and its relationship with creative behavior.The sample consisted of 190 male and female teachers chosen randomly. For achieving the goals of the study, theresearchers developed two instruments, the first one was for social intelligence including 29 items, and the secondone was for creative behavior including 22 items distributed on five domains: flexibility, originality, fluency,sensitivity to problems, and risk acceptance.The results indicated that the level of social intelligence of principals was mid, and for creative behavior as well. Theresults also showed that there is a statistically significance positive correlative relationship between socialintelligence and creative behavior.

This study investigates the perceptions of teachers at the secondary schools in Bani Obaid district at Irbid city for their schools by considering the schools as learning organizations. This study discovers the differences in participant responses that are related to their perceptions by considering the schools as educated organizations based on the following factors: gender, qualifications, and years of experience. To achieve the objectives of the study, the researcher follows the descriptive methodology by preparing a questionnaire which includes (35) parts. The sample of the study consists of (250) male and female teachers in the secondary schools at Bani Obaid district. They were collected randomly from the total number of teachers in that district which is (413). They represent (60%) of the teachers in the district. The perceptions of the teachers of the secondary schools at Bani Obaid district at Irbid city for their schools as educated organizations got (5,64) for the highest average based on the general performance using the tool. The results based on the scopes of the study are as the following: working as a team got the highest average (3.91). The followed scope is the mental models (3.66). The third one is related to the personal ability with average (3.91) then the collective vision with average (3.50) and lastly, the critical thinking with average (3.49). There were not much significant statistical differences in level (α≤0.05) in the sample responses which are related to the study scopes and tool based on the sex and years of experience in addition to (collective vision and personal ability) dimensions based on the qualification. There were significant statistical differences in level (α≤0.05) in the sample responses which are related to the scopes of (collective vision, mental models and teamwork) based on the qualification dimension specially the bachelor degree. Based on the results of the research, the researcher recommends providing financial and moral incentives for the distinguished secondary schools to apply the principles of the educated schools.
