In the present article there is a short presentation of the historical backdrop of the social partner calling globally and in our nation. Accentuation is set on network social help and the improvement of this arrangement of social assurance in the interwar period, the socialist time frame, and after the upheaval of December 1989. The phases of the improvement of the advanced education of social help with the area of Arad after the unrest are stamped. The paper presents the cause exercises completed by understudies at the UAV Arad under the direction of their educators and the media inclusion of these activities (by press and TV). Media inclusion has prompted a superior information on the calling and an expansion in the quantity of understudies who wish to take up this calling.

The article is devoted to the issue of communication strategy in the mass media and PR-departments in organizations of various orientations. The authors draw attention to the existing practice of similar, repetitive messages that fill the information space. This complicates the perception of information by the public and makes this process boring and uninteresting. As one way of solving the problem, it is proposed to focus on unique information offers in communications. The authors believe that a wide potential audience is not aware of truly unique information offers of the mass media or PR departments of companies and organizations. A unique information offer is lost in the conditions of the growing tradition to consume news information from the social media feed, subscribing to a large number of public pages, unless these offers are made by popular and well-known companies. For instance, the authors of the article study unique information offers made by the media service of a football club in March-June 2020 in the context of the coronavirus crisis and the absence of matches. This is one of the most popular Russian clubs, well-known even to those Russians who are not football fans. Moreover, the authors also examine the unique information offers of a beauty company, with some of them not directly related to their products. As a result, theauthors suggest that it is worth advertising not only products on external resources, but also unique information offers directly.

Resumo: O presente artigo buscou discorrer sobre o trabalho do assistente social frente a demandas de pessoas com deficiência num ambulatório de saúde. Para tanto, foi realizada pesquisa em documentos de registro de atendimentos do assistente social no respectivo ambulatório. O material foi analisado de forma quantitativa e também qualitativamente, e dentre os principais resultados temos que a maioria dos atendimentos decorreu por busca ativa do assistente social, e a maioria das demandas apresentadas pelos usuários são relativas a orientações sociais, previdenciárias e assistenciais. Na primeira parte do artigo trazemos reflexões, à luz de revisão bibliográfica, sobre o conceito de deficiência e as principais políticas públicas brasileiras para esta população, além de alguns dados estatísticos extraídos do Censo 2010 sobre pessoas com deficiência. Demands of persons with disabilities and intervention of the social worker in the outpatient clinic of HU-UFJF Abstract: The present article sought to discuss the work of the social worker regarding the demands of people with disabilities in a health clinic. To do so, a study was carried out on records of the social worker's attendance at the respective outpatient clinic. The material was analysed quantitatively and also qualitatively, and among the main results we have that most of the attendance was due to the active search of the social worker, and most of the demands presented by the users are related to social, welfare and welfare guidelines. In the first part of the article, we present reflections, in the light of a bibliographical review, on the concept of disability and the main Brazilian public legislation for this population, as well as some statistical data extracted from the 2010 Census on persons with disabilities.

Can contemporary democratic governments tackle climate crisis? Some say that democracy has to be a central part of a strategy to deal with climate change. Others say that experience shows it not to be up to the challenge in the time frame available—that it will require a stronger hand, even a form of eco-authoritarianism. This work seeks to sort out and assess the competing answers to a question that is not easily resolved. While the book supports the case for environmental democracy, it argues that establishing and sustaining democratic practices will be difficult during the global climate turmoil ahead, especially if confronted with permanent states of emergency. This inquiry undertakes a search for an appropriate political-ecological strategy capable of preserving a measure of democratic governance during hard times. Without ignoring the global dimensions of the crisis, the analysis finds an alternative path in the theory and practices of participatory environmental governance embodied in a growing relocalization movement, and a form of global eco-localism. Although these movements largely operate under the radar of the social sciences, the media, and the political realm generally, such vibrant socio-ecological movements not only speak to the crisis ahead, but are already well established and thriving on the ground, including ecovillages, eco-communes, eco-neighborhoods, and local transition initiatives. With the help of these ideas and projects, the task is to shift the discourse of environmental political theory in ways that can assist those who will face the climate crisis in its full magnitude in real terms.

This article examines the Scandinavian countries’ response to extreme political movements in the interwar period. Historians have considered the crisis agreements of the 1930s as pivotal to Scandinavian resistance to fascism. The present article revises this explanation by conducting a comparative empirical study of political practice and rhetoric. The comparison makes it clear that the socio-economic measures were primarily aimed at combating the economic crisis. However, the social democratic labour parties conceptualised their social and economic policy as a defence of democracy after Hitler seized power in Germany. The findings indicate that the social democratic solution to the depression in Scandinavia left no political space for either communism or fascism.

Abstract: In the days that followed the Montréal Massacre at the École Polytechnique, December 6, 1989, the Canadian mass media became a discursive battleground regarding violence against women. In response to this phenomenon, I released a half-hour documentary in 1995 entitled Reframing the Montreal Massacre: A Media Interrogation. Designed as a feminist tool for media literacy, the tape deconstructs six key moments in the media coverage of the Massacre. This paper serves as an extended artist’s statement to accompany the project’s re-release on the Internet, while simultaneously exploring aesthetic and representational strategies that shape the documentary. This article is supported by several videos.Résumé : Dans les jours qui suivirent le massacre de l’École Polytechnique de Montréal, le 6 décembre 1989, la presse canadienne devint un champ de bataille discursif relativement à la violence orientée contre les femmes. En réponse à ce phénomène, j’ai réalisé en 1995 un documentaire d’une demi-heure intitulé Reframing the Montreal Massacre: A Media Interrogation. Conçu comme un outil féministe en faveur de l’information médiatique, le documentaire déconstruit six moments clés de la couverture médiatique du massacre. A l’occasion de la rediffusion du projet sur Internet, le présent article réitère dans sa continuité ma prise de position en tant qu’artiste, explorant simultanément les stratégies esthétiques et représentationnelles qui modèlent le documentaire. ABSTRACTThis article argues for the central role of publicity and propaganda in the Labour party's 1945 landslide election victory. While the ‘swing to the left’ in the first years of the war provided an opportunity for Labour, popular radicalism did not automatically translate into support for the party. The following discussion shows how the national party leadership made use of the BBC, print media, and visual propaganda to associate itself in the popular mind with the successes of the coalition government and the promises of the Beveridge report. While the Conservatives' propaganda machinery fell into abeyance during the war, Labour deftly exploited new means of mass communication which had grown up during the interwar period to build a broad national constituency in favour of its return to power. In order properly to understand the link between ‘high politics’ and popular opinion, political historians need to consider not only the languages through which elite policies were translated and communicated to the public, but also the media of communication. This article argues that, contrary to common perceptions, Labour was successful in 1945 in part because of its ability to embrace and exploit the new mass media to its political advantage.

Presentation of talk show host program has been known to be intelligent, smart, and is able to direct the conversation in the program well. The presentation is in line with the view of talk show programs packed seriously as a journalistic genre program with emphasis on the truth of the facts or information conveyed. However, in recent years there are different representations associated with the talk show host of the program. The representation shows that a talk show host is not such intelligent and smart, and is not able to direct the conversation in the program properly. The existence of this representation is consistent with the theory of social construction assuming that mass media play a major role in shaping the social reality in the society. As of this writing, the audience receives social reality as a representation. Like the previous presentation, as the television has broadcasted for a long time, people feel that the reality is normative and ideal conditions for them. Public realize that the social reality was only the reconstruction of the television when TV presents a representation of another social reality. Nevertheless, whatever the social reality that is deliberately made or reconstructed by the media, including television, in fact everything is a reality that is deliberately created just for the sake of the manager or owner of the television station.

Due to the economic crisis in 2008, processes of restructuring and dissolution of the social welfare state have been accelerated in the European Union, especially in the context of severe austerity measures imposed in countries with sovereign debt problems such as Greece. These neoliberal policies have increasingly sought their ‘legitimizing basis’ in discourses concerning a corrupt, ineffective and oversized public realm, while simultaneously promoting the notion of ‘welfare dependency’, insinuating an absence of moral values and proper ‘work ethic’ for the poor and disadvantaged, who are the most affected by the social state's withdrawal. Additionally, such narratives seem to have benefitted from the creation of ‘moral panic’ and the associated cultural representations of underprivileged social groups through mainstream mass media. The current article focuses on the nuances of this phenomenon in Greece, arguing that the catalyst has been the popularity of the extremist, nationalistic and anti-immigrant party of ‘Golden Dawn’. It contends that the representation of Golden Dawn's rhetoric and activism by the media, triggered processes of disidentification with poverty and the underprivileged in the mind of the average Greek; processes rooted in highly emotive sentiments of patriotism, religion and national identity, while linking such groups with the supposed deviant behaviour and ‘inferior’ traits of immigrants. Furthermore, it argues that this discourse enabled the government to ‘assault’ the ideological stance and arguments of the advocates of robust public social interventions from an advantageous position, enhancing the acceptance of its neoliberal agenda regarding public social policy in the Greek populace.

ABSTRACTThe proliferation of infotainment shows on television media for current decades is considered quite disturbing for broadcasting stakeholders in this country. The mass media through its four functions should be able to perform these functions in sequence and the four should run proporsonally, either the functions of educating, providing information, entertaining and influencing. But along with the disowning of conscience by media owners who are very oriented to the political economic of the liberal media, the main purpose of broadcasting is merely pursuing for ratings to be able to reap a lot of advertisements, with the reason people as the owner of the sovereign broadcasting like it. The orientation of media owners through infotainment shows that sold well consumed by society, on one hand, potentially damage the morality of the society into an opportunistic, apathy and hedonist nation. The situation of upheaval domestic political is also considered to foster infotainment shows in the midst of people's worries about the increasingly uncertain political situation, especially the corruption news that has filled the labyrinth of society, more saturated, so that people seek entertainment on television through infotainment shows.The lack of favor towards the conscience and the morality of society, thereby crashing into the corridor of mass media function, encourages media owners to tend to display something of added value in society, by denying the educational function, providing useful information and influencing the society with more cosmopolitan thinking. This is the serious problem faced by this nation, and has not obtained law enforcement as regulated in legislation. In this case, the Indonesian Broadcasting Commission which has repeatedly reprimanded and gave strong warnings against television stations that broadcast infotainment shows inappropriately, merely to rebuke and commemorate, without being able to bring it into the realm of justice. The inherent strength of capital accompanied by the social political power of the media owners, have made all violations and crimes in the mass media unfolded without ever being touched by the law. The mass media are often accused of discriminatory. Too often considered as one of the factors that influence the rise of violence against children. The truth of the social reality or displayed by the media in reporting crimes against children tend to be partial, because the media actually has a reciprocal relationship with reality itself. On one side of the media is regarded as a mirror of reality and how its operation showing the reality, but the media also do his own interpretation and creates its own reality anyway.Through analysis techniques framing Zhongdang Pan and Gerald M. Kosicki, the study was about to answer the research questions; How does Koran Tempo framing incidence of violence against children and to communicate to the reader in the form of news.
