Due to the fact that there is a huge technological progress and automation trend in the working world in this 21st century, Artificial Intelligence (AI) is not only considered as a new innovative product of technological advancement for humankind but it also perceived as a new serious threat for workers during new industrial revolution in the computer-age. The main purpose of this article is to study on the effects of AI on working conditions, environments and skills at workplaces. Because of this study is considered as an exploratory research or qualitative research, data is collected by interviewing some workers in industrial sectors in South Korea and interview videos which provide some critical opinions on Industrial Revolutions, robotic trend and AI. And then the arguments are discussed and supported by the results of other academic studies. As the result of the mentioned process, it is possible to say that AI has a great influence on employment condition in the computer-age and this study can identify four significant effects on working place. One of those effects is that AI directly and indirectly hinders human-being relations in the workplace. Another effect is to destroy our working knowledge and skills which are needed for a job in the traditional working world. Additionally, AI gradually demolishes workplace engagement and organizational identity. Apart from these unexpected effects, AI is commonly perceived as a main cause leading to such a serious unemployment growth in our society. In order to cope with these new challenges which might be caused by AI and rapidly technological development at workplaces, some significant solutions are introduced including AI is created for increasing the capacity of workers rather than replacing human workers, putting obligations and responsibilities on AI which is intentionally created and used to replace human workers and law enforcement on the areas which should be fully support for developing Artificial Intelligences and which sectors cannot be allowed to be dominated by AI is necessary. The article conclusion, limitations and suggestions for the future research will be discussed in the next parts respectively.

Technological development has changed the way users relate to products, they are no longer passive receivers of functions to interact with increasingly complex systems. This research addresses the problem of consumer interaction with public electronic technology products. There are several studies dealing with the disciplines that study the interaction between the user and the electronic product (Preece, 2005; Johnson-Laird, 1983; Helander, 1997, Sutcliffe, 1995; Norman, 1990; Moraes, 2001), making it possible to obtain knowledge about human beings, technology and the way they operate. This research aims to identify the areas of interaction design that involve the human-machine system, in particular the disciplines that contribute to good usability. Six typologies are proposed that describe specific interface characteristics studied according to the model of complexity defined by Gomes Filho (2003). Exploratory research in Portugal identified twenty-six interactive systems. To characterize the public electronic systems, the study presents a structured analysis of the variables mentioned previously, in relation to both reliability and validity, as well as functionality. Human beings for their self-centeredness, warmth, and leisure in their life, have chosen the avenue of globalization, technological advancement, and industrialization. The price that they are paying for this avenue is the catastrophe of biodiversity, climatic changes, global warming, depleting resources, melting of glaciers, and the catastrophe of greenery. Hence environmental sustainability and sustainable development have turned into a crucial agenda in the global association. India is a rapidly flourishing nation which is backed by the industrial sectors, yet it is exposed terribly to climatic change and global warming. Due to this alarming plight, the banking sectors who are the chief financial supporter of industries that cause pollution have taken a small start: Going Green. This has given push up to the conception of green banking and it has given birth to green banking products. The green banking products target cutback of carbon impression, resource-efficient economies, and ward off wastage of the accessible limited resources. It is focused upon moving towards banking practices that are non-hazardous to the environment and aids to conserve it. These green banking products initiatives have recently kick-started in a handful of banks across the country. Fueling of green products is required at a quick pace than anticipated, as they have a close association with other sectors that forms the country’s economy. This paper skates through the Need of the Hour and the awareness on Green Banking Products.

Craniopharyngioma is a congenital brain tumor with clinical characteristics of hypothalamic-pituitary dysfunction, increased intracranial pressure, and visual field disorder, among other injuries. Its clinical diagnosis mainly depends on radiological examinations (such as Computed Tomography, Magnetic Resonance Imaging). However, assessing numerous radiological images manually is a challenging task, and the experience of doctors has a great influence on the diagnosis result. The development of artificial intelligence has brought about a great transformation in the clinical diagnosis of craniopharyngioma. This study reviewed the application of artificial intelligence technology in the clinical diagnosis of craniopharyngioma from the aspects of differential classification, prediction of tissue invasion and gene mutation, prognosis prediction, and so on. Based on the reviews, the technical route of intelligent diagnosis based on the traditional machine learning model and deep learning model were further proposed. Additionally, in terms of the limitations and possibilities of the development of artificial intelligence in craniopharyngioma diagnosis, this study discussed the attentions required in future research, including few-shot learning, imbalanced data set, semi-supervised models, and multi-omics fusion.

The chapter identifies the opportunities of neuromarketing with the latest technological development to understand the customer mindset so that it would be easy to formulate neurostrategy for an organization. This chapter gives a future research direction with strategic management, so that it will be helpful for a professional to create a more accurate strategy in a VUCA (volatility, uncertainty, complexity, ambiguity) environment, predict, and fulfill the “institution void” situation with more accuracy in an emerging developing market.

The introduction of technological innovations is often associated with suboptimal decisions and actions during cycles of inflated expectations, disappointment, and unintended negative consequences. For brevity, these can be referred to as hype cycles. Hitherto, studies have reported hype cycles for many different technologies, and studies have proposed different methods for improving the introduction of technological innovations. Yet hype cycles persist, despite suboptimal outcomes being widely reported and despite methods being available to improve outcomes. In this communication paper, findings from exploratory research are reported, which introduce new directions for addressing hype cycles. Through reference to neuroscience studies, it is explained that the behavior of some adults in hype cycles can be analogous to that of irresponsible behavior among adolescents. In particular, there is heightened responsiveness to peer presence and potential rewards. Accordingly, it is argued that methods applied successfully to reduce irresponsible behavior among adolescents are relevant to addressing hype cycles, and to facilitating more responsible research and innovation. The unsustainability of hype cycles is considered in relation to hype about artificial intelligence (AI). In particular, the potential for human-beneficial AI to have the unintended negative consequence of being fatally unbeneficial to everything else in the geosphere other than human beings.

AbstractThe recent advances in artificial intelligence have already begun to penetrate our daily lives. Even though the development is still in its infancy, it has been shown that it can outperform human beings even in terms of intelligence (e.g., AlphaGo by DeepMind), implying a massive potential for its broader application in various industrial sectors. In particular, the growing public interest in industry 4.0, which focuses on revolutionizing the traditional manufacturing scene, has stimulated a deeper investigation of its possible applications in the related industries. Since it has several limitations that hinder its direct usage, research on the convergence of artificial intelligence with other engineering fields, including precision engineering and manufacturing, is ongoing. This overview looks to summarize some of the important achievements made using artificial intelligence in some of the most influential and lucrative manufacturing industries in hopes of transforming the manufacturing sites.

Purpose This paper aims to examine the feasibility of artificial intelligence (AI) performing as chief executive officer (CEO) in organizations. Design/methodology/approach The authors followed an explorative research design – classic grounded theory methodology. The authors conducted face-to-face interviews with 27 participants that were selected according to theoretical sampling. The sample consisted of academics from the fields of AI, philosophy and management; experts and artists performing in the field of AI and professionals from the business world. Findings As a result of the grounded theory process “The Vizier-Shah Theory” emerged. The theory consisted of five theoretical categories: narrow AI, hard problems, debates, solutions and AI-CEO. The category “AI as a CEO” introduces four futuristic AI-CEO models. Originality/value This study introduces an original theory that explains the evolution process of narrow AI to AI-CEO. The theory handles the issue from an interdisciplinary perspective by following an exploratory research design – classic grounded theory and provides insights for future research.

It is considered as a mother of all the sciences. In fact it is at the root of all knowledge. Education has also drawn its material from different philosophical bases. Education, like philosophy is also closely related to human life. Therefore, being an important life activity education is also greatly influenced by philosophy. Various fields of philosophy like the political philosophy, social philosophy and economic philosophy have great influence on the various aspects of education like educational procedures, processes, policies, planning and its implementation, from both the theoretical and practical aspects. The modern business milieu is highly competitive due to vast technological advancement which makes employees a vital source of competitive advantage. Precisely, the recruitment process has become a key determinant of an organization’s success and a logistic capital resource to the human resource; thus, the process should be entirely modern. A conventional recruitment and selection process comprises of job analysis, manpower planning, and recruitment and selection. The current study seeks to explore employee recruitment practices and proposes areas of future research in Indian Railways using secondary data. It also gives recommendations on how to improve the recruitment practices in the government-owned Indian Railways. The trends investigated in the study include the applicant tracking software (ATS), use of video resumes, Chatbots, the utilization of social networks, and increased focus on passive candidates.

Background: Protecting intellectual property rights are important and particularly pertinent for inventions which are an outcome of rigorous research and development. While the grant of patents is subject to establishing novelty and inventive step, it further indicates the technological development and helpful for researchers working in the same technical domain. The aim of the present research work is to map the existing work through analysis of patent literature, in the field of Coronaviruses (CoV), particularly COVID-19 (2019-nCoV). CoV is a large family of viruses known to cause illness in human and animals, particularly known for causing respiratory infections as evidenced in earlier times such as in MERS i.e. Middle East Respiratory Syndrome; SRS i.e. Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome. A recently identified novel-coronavirus has known as COVID-19 which has currently caused pandemic situation across the globe. Objective: To expand analysis of patents related to CoV and 2019-nCoV. Evaluation has been conducted by patenting trends of particular strains of identified CoV diseases by present legal status, main concerned countries via earliest priority years and its assignee types and inventors of identified relevant patents. We analyzed the global patent documents to check the scope of claims along with focuses and trends of the published patent documents for the entire CoV family including 2019- nCoV through the present landscape. Methods: To extract the results, Derwent Innovation database is used by a combination of different key-strings. Approximately 3800 patents were obtained and further scrutinized and analyzed. The present write-up also discusses the recent progress of patent applications in a period of the year 2010 to 2020 (present) along with the recent developments in India for the treatment options for CoV and 2019-nCoV. Results: Present analysis showed that key areas of the inventions have been focused on vaccines and diagnostic kits apart from the composition for treatment of CoV. We also observed that no specific vaccine treatments is available for treatment of 2019-nCov, however, developing novel chemical or biological drugs and kits for early diagnosis, prevention and disease management is the primarily governing topic among the patented inventions. The present study also indicates potential research opportunities for the future, particularly to combat 2019-nCoV. Conclusion: The present paper analyzes the existing patents in the field of Coronaviruses and 2019-nCoV and suggests a way forward for the effective contribution in this upcoming research area. From the trend analysis, it was observed an increase in filing of the overall trend of patent families for a period of 2010 to the current year. This multifaceted analysis of identified patent literature provides an understanding of the focuses on present ongoing research and grey area in terms of the trends of technological innovations in disease management in patients with CoV and 2019-nCoV. Further, the findings and outcome of the present study offer insights for the proposed research and innovation opportunities and provide actionable information in order to facilitate policymakers, academia, research driven institutes and also investors to make better decisions regarding programmed steps for research and development for the diagnosis, treatment and taking preventive measures for CoV and 2019-nCoV. The present article also emphasizes on the need for future development and the role of academia and collaboration with industry for speedy research with a rationale.
