28 men and 32 women were given Vingiano's Hemisphericity Questionnaire and the Coopersmith Self-esteem Inventory. People who reported the greatest numbers of right hemispheric indicators displayed the lowest self-esteem; the correlations were moderately strong ( r>.50) for both men and women. These results support the hypothesis that the sense of self is primarily a linguistic, left-hemispheric phenomenon and that a developmental history of frequent intrusion from right-hemispheric processes can infuse the self-concept with negative affect.

This article reveals the theoretical basis of the self-concept and the Self-identity image study in psychology and emphasizes that the tendency to analyze oneself, the need to generalize and systematize knowledge about oneself, to relate one’s self-image to an ideal one as well as self-education, self-esteem are the most important characteristics for the formation of a future specialist. The article analyzes the works of foreign and domestic psychologists, such as R. Burns, W. James, V. S. Agapov, who give us various approaches to the problem of the self-concept and its structural components. The authors investigate the ideas about ‘self’ and the ideal image of an Orthodox theologian among the students majoring in the Orthodox theology. It is noted that there is very little research on the personal characteristics of the students majoring in theology, and studying the idea of oneself and the ideal image of a future theologian is not only of a theoretical interest, but it is also connected with the increasing efficiency of solving the problems with specialists` formation. The paper presents the results of an empirical study concerning the students majoring in theology from junior to senior years basing on the methods of diagnosing interpersonal relations by T. Leary. The results show us that the efficiency of the professional training and the professional development of a future theologian depends on the meaning and importance of the profession for the given person, and how the future specialist relates themselves to it. The comparative analysis of an one`s self image and an ideal image formation among the students majoring in theology generally indicate the development of subjectivity, a critical attitude toward oneself, and a desire to improve oneself.

The research design used was correlation analysis with cross sectional data collection. The population was all leprosy patients in the outpatient installation of the Daha Husada General Hospital with a total sample of 50 respondents who were selected using the purposive sampling technique. Measurement of disability is developed from the standard provisions of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Indonesia. Stigma measurement uses the Internalized Stigma of Mental Illnes Scale (ISMI) which was developed by The International Federation of Anti-Leprosy Associations (ILEP) in 2011. Meanwhile, the Self-Concept instrument is developed from indicators according to theory. The analysis used was logistic regression starting with the examination of the variables and the results were p value = 0.40 for disability and p value = 0.49 for stigma. It can be interpreted that disability gives potential 5,652 times and stigma gives potential 6,205 times for self-concept

The article reveals the methodology of a comparative study of the tendencies in professional training of specialists in circular economy in some European countries. Since gaining independence by Ukraine, pedagogical research has intensified through studying the experience of the development of education in the world’s leading countries and, in particular, in the countries of the European Union, in order to borrow the best experience for Ukraine, taking into account our mentality, history, cultural and educational traditions. Such a branch of pedagogical science as comparative pedagogy and, in particular, comparative professional pedagogy, has started developing actively. When studying the tendencies of specialists’ professional training in circular economy in the Republic of Finland, the Republic of Poland and Ukraine, understanding of the methodology as a doctrine of organization of activities has been suggested for usage (A. Novikov, D. Novikov). The organization of scientific research in the problem field of comparative pedagogy has been revealed through: the proof of the countries’ equivalence in the study of the phenomenon chosen for the research; determination of the stages of conducting a comparative study; formulation of the research concept and substantiation of the research criteria. It has been shown that for conducting interdisciplinary comparative research it is important to apply a five-level methodology (levels: philosophical and worldview, general scientific, specific scientific (disciplinary), interdisciplinary, technological) and to use scientific approaches which reflect the methodological basis for achieving the research goal and the intermediate goals.
