The Appearance of Computer/Internet Dependency in Turkey

The aim of this study is to reveal the prevalence of computer/Internet dependency in Turkey in the light of the existing research. With the rapid growth of technology, communication technologies have rapidly penetrated everyday life. More and more people express themselves with different types of technology, such as the computer and the Internet [19]. The most important communication tools that have emerged with the rapid development of technology are computers and the Internet. According to the Internet usage statistics of the world (Global Web Index, 2014), in 2014, 34% (Global Web Index, 2015) in 2015, and 34% (Global Web Index, 2015) in 2013 of the world total population in 2013 (IWS 2013) (Global Web Index, 2016) reported using the Internet. Internet users in Turkey increased by 1,225% between 2000 and 2008. Keywords: Dependency, Internet dependency, computer dependency

The purpose of this research is to analyze internet users in the world who are educated in Indonesia by utilizing computer science techniques. The use of the internet in question is the percentage in accessing the internet for ages 5-12 years old, 13-15 years old and 16-18 years old. The data source used is from https://www.bps.go.id/. The method used is kmedoids, while mapping in the form of clusters in this study uses 2 labels namely C1: high cluster for internet use and C2: low cluster for internet use. The results mention that the islands of Sumatra and Java dominate in the use of the internet in all ages. The results state that k-medoids can be applied to the case of mapping internet usage with an accuracy of mentioning above 90% and an error rate below 5%.

This study intends to identify factors that may influence the adoption of WWW (7 usage) for job seeking in Bangladesh Although Bangladesh has a growing number of Internet users, it is still lagging behind other countries in the context of e-recruitment. The three factors–Trust, performance expectancy and facilitating conditions were selected from the available literature. A survey was conducted and questionnaire that includes 25 questions was distributed randomly to a sample of 81 participants. The collected data was analysed by using SPSS software. The result indicates one hypothesis has been accepted and facilitates condition showed significant impact on the Internet usage for job seeking among Bangladeshi people.

The rapid development of information and communication technologies and the development of digital economy and society brings new challenges and opportunities for individuals, companies and the whole society. The huge growth of the Internet, which has contributed to these changes, and causes changes in the living of individuals and households. In addition to new ways of communicating, the Internet brings individuals new opportunities for collaboration, business, but also information retrieval and, last but not least, shopping, contributing to the growth of living standards. In this paper, the authors focus on one aspect of the digital economy – household access to the Internet and its usage for purchasing products and services in the Slovak Republic. The aim of the article is to find out the level and reasons for using the Internet by households of the Slovak Republic. In this paper, the authors use methods: time series analysis, comparison, synthesis. The authors use data from the Statistical Office of the Slovak Republic. The authors have found that the level of Internet usage in the Slovak households is increasing, but it varies depending on gender, age group and type of household. Slovak households buy mainly clothes, sports goods, and households’ goods for the private usage.

Abstract:The internet developed for the first time in Indonesia in the early 1990s. Starting from the pagayuban network, it is now expanding without boundaries anywhere. A survey conducted by the Indonesian Internet Service Providers Association (APJII) said that the number of internet users in Indonesia in 2012 reached 63 million people or 24.23 percent of the country's total population. Next year, that figure is predicted to increase by close to 30 percent to 82 million users and continue to grow to 107 million in 2014 and 139 million or 50 percent of the total population in 2015. million people. This matter also results in political communication with the internet media, or is often said to be cyber politics. Cyber politics in Indonesia has faced growth in recent years. There are many facilities that support the growth of cyber politics, such as Facebook, Twitter, mailing list, YouTube, and others.Keywords: Cyberpolitik, Internet  Abstrak:Internet berkembang pertama kali di Indonesia pada awal tahun 1990-an. In the information society the status of information is changing: this main value of global civilization becomes an important resource of socio- economic, technological and cultural development. The rapid development of virtual technologies and the growing number of Internet users in Ukraine and in the world causes the new challenges to communication of each organization. The book publishers are also obliged to respond to these processes. However, the works devoted directly to publishers’ communication in the modern media space are still lacking in Ukraine. The objective of the article is to clarify peculiarities and conditions of the activities of Ukrainian book publishers in today’s media space which is an important issue today. It is analyzed the literature and sources on this issue and it is ascertained the theoretical and practical possibilities to take into account the trends in the world of modern media in the PR-activity of book publishers. Also the prospects for further scientific study and practical use of PR-communications in the activity of publishers are determined. The analysis of current changes in the modern information space allows us to trace the general tendencies: the new subject and object areas are formed; the number of subjects is expanded; the new formats of interaction within the system of communications of the organization and in society as a whole are created. That means that publishing house’s PR-communications are complicated by the emergence of new elements, such as active audience, social networks as communication channels, promotions on the Internet and others. PR communication in the Internet space is the most effective and inexpensive tool for interaction of publishers with active audiences. Thus, the activation of PR communication in the modern media space is associated with the emergence of the latest information technologies, online media as well as development of Internet. The use of online channels of Internet for communication with the target audience of publishing organizations has certain advantages over traditional media. At the same time, it is necessary to take into account the information saturation of media space, which complicates the way of PR-messages of book publishers to the reader.

The model was modified due to the development of the internet and new access models, on the one hand, and to the fact that previous studies mainly focuses on various individual (non-interactive) influences of certain factors, on the other.</p> <i></i><u></u><sub></sub><sup></sup> <p>The Decision Tree (DT) method, which is used in our study, does not require a pre-defined underlying relationship. In addition, the method allows a great many explanatory variables to be processed and the most important variables are easy to identify. </p><p>Obtained results can serve as to web developers and designers, since by indicating the differences between male and female internet users in terms of their behaviour on the internet it can help in deciding when, where and how to address and appeal to which section of the user base. It is especially important to know their online preferences in order to enable the adequate and targeted placement of information, actions or products and services for the intended target groups.</p><p> <b></b><i></i><u></u><sub></sub><sup></sup><br></p>

Background: Internet is a boon and has certainly helped to bring the world closer. It has been a great medium for students to communicate and get information by transforming the academic landscape. However the excessive and undisciplined use of internet by individuals especially in the last decade, has led to the emergence of the concept of internet addiction. Therefore, a cross sectional study has been conducted to investigate the use of internet facility among undergraduate students from Teerthankar Mahaveer University using a validated questionnaire. There were about 42 million active internet users in urban India in 2008 when compared to 5 million in 2000. India now has the world’s third-largest national digital population, with approximately, 159 million Internet users in 2014, which is projected to reach 314 million by 2017 (IMRB 2014). The aim was to study prevalence and pattern of internet usage among undergraduate students in Moradabad. Methods: A cross sectional study was conducted among medical students (n=382) belonging to all the professionals of medical college, to assess the pattern of internet usage. A semi-structured proforma along with Young’s internet addiction scale was used. Results: Of the 382 adolescents who took part in the study, 150 (39.27%) were female and 232 (60.73%) were males. Their mean age was 16.20 years. Using Young’s original criteria, 22 (5.76%) were found to be addicts, 230 (60.21%) were moderately addicted, 45 (11.78%) were average users while in 85 (22.25%) of student’s internet use was less than average. Most of internet use was for social networking 183(47.9%), downloading media files 125 (32.7%), online gaming 45 (11.8%), academic purposes 10 (2.6%) and others 19 (5%). About 275 (72%) of the students were using smart phones to access the internet. Conclusions: Most of the internet usage was for the purpose of social networking (Facebook, Whats App, Mails, etc). Availability of high speed free wi-fi internet on mobile phones as well as more reliance on virtual friendship than real may be the reason for spending more time on social network websites.

The Internet is definitely the most complex and dynamic technical and cultural phenomenon that humanity ever experienced. Nevertheless, despite its positive impact on the Western world, Web 2.0 has yet to prove its power in the undeveloped regions of the globe, where the Internet Era is still at its dawn. In developing countries, the barriers that women face, such as poverty or social imbalances, establish significant challenges that hinder connectivity and access to modern technologies. In this context, the chapter discusses the evolution of gender speech in relation to new Information and Communication Technologies (ICTs). The authors determine whether the declarations and plans for action that were issued subsequent to the 1995 Fourth World Conference on Women in Beijing enhanced the establishment of gendered policies on ICTs, particularly in the undeveloped regions of the world, and whether, in this way, they empower women, contribute to combating women's poverty, and promote gender equality.

According to Internet World Stats (IWS), the total number of internet users in in Pakistan during October 2018 was 44,608,065, which is 22.2% of the total population. More than 30 million of Pakistan's 212 million people use the internet via mobile devices. The literacy rate of the country is quite low as compared to other countries (i.e., 58%). This research focuses on the common patterns of cyber criminals and the required legislation and enforcement of existing laws along with the need of international cooperation to counter global cyber threat.

With the increased use of the Internet to share confidential information with other users around the world, the demands to protect this information are also increasing. This is why, today, privacy has found its important place in users' lives. However, Internet users have different interpretations of the meaning of privacy. This fact makes it difficult to find the best way to address the privacy issue. In addition, most of the current standard protocols in use over the Internet do not support the level of privacy that most users expect. The purpose of this chapter is to discuss the best balance between users' expectation and the practical level of privacy to address user privacy needs and evaluate the most important protocols from privacy aspects.
