The Qur’an contains about eighteen verses that refer to the architecture of the earth. Nearly two hundred elements (terminologies) of architecture and town planning have been mentioned in the Quran. This paper aims to present examples from the Quran to shed light on the Islamic vision of architecture and art. It uses content analysis method to achieve the objective of the research. The analysis is done by studying and discussing verses of the Holy Quran, which is related to architecture and urbanism. One of the most important results of this research is to give distinct architectural and urban examples, include the following: building materials, environmental architecture, houses of insects, visual illusions in architecture, and the centrality of Mecca to the world. All of them is explained in the Qur’an verses, such as Al-Baqarah, An-Naml, An-Nahl, Al-Kahf, and Al-Fajr.

The Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic affects mental health in communities all over the world. Thus, this paper aims to see the potential of gardening as a therapy for mental health during this COVID-19 pandemic. Through the content analysis method, library research was conducted to examine this intervention. Findings show that gardening can be an alternative approach to prevention and healing in regards to mental health issues. Nature-based intervention such as gardening helps bring the feeling of peace and closeness to Allah which also allows for mental health issues to be curbed and health be restored, which ensures the overall well-being of those affected by COVID-19.

Tom and Jerry has already celebrated its Platinum Jubilee as it was produced firstly in 1940 and bit by bit Tom and Jerry has been dominating the watch-lists of the cartoon lovers from all over the world by retaining itself as one of the most popular cartoons of all time. But it is not only the never-ending rivalry between the cat and the mouse with the slapstick comedy that helps the cartoon to be as one of the talked of the topics in the entertainment and media industry, it has created some controversies regarding its contents; and violence is one those that has made the scholars and critics talk about it and its possible impacts on the audience. Apart from lamenting for the impacts of violence on the juveniles’ mind, this study rather focuses on how Tom and Jerry projects violence alongside with the slapstick comic elements in the name of entertainment since it is significant to discern what violence is and then categorize them into different type as different categories of violence may have impact on the audience in different ways. By defining the term violence, this study shows how Tom and Jerry displays the actions which can be the ribs and stretchers of the umbrella known as violence. Whereas most of the scholars concentrate on the outcome of showing violence among the different programs in media, this study categorizes the actions performed by the characters in the cartoon into different categories through a qualitative content analysis method and defines those actions according to the definitions of violence.

Diamond Shumsher’s masterpiece, Seto Bagh, is a significant historical novel in Nepali literature. The novel made a vibrant debut in depicting historicity in fictional prose in the Nepali context. In particular, the reconsideration of the portrayal of history from a new perspective is relevant. Traditionally, this is considered a historical realist novel. Nevertheless, magical elements are profusely used in the novel. In this study, this niche opens up avenues to re-evaluate the historicity vis-à-vis magical elements. I have adopted Maggie Ann Bowers’ and Wendy B. Faris’s notions and perspectives on the theoretical lens of magical realism to demystify the magic and history in the text. Further, I have adapted the content analysis method to analyze the textual evidences from the selected novel. The main finding exhibits that the novelist has amalgamated historical facts with magical elements like supernatural beings and happenings. Thus, the novel is an example of historical magical realism. This implies that only established beliefs and theories are not sufficient to judge the literary works rightly. Therefore, new lenses should be explored to enter into the world of fictional prose works as such.

The doctrine of God in Islam was built as a supreme tradition, in which infiltrate into mankind souls. For centuries, Islam is deemed as an outsider and a threat for Western Christian followers. Consequently, any actions are taken to devastate Islam from the earth. Philosophically, this study aims to fortify Islamic theology againts political attacks particularly in separating Muslims from the concept of monotheism. This study employs a critical analysis method, a concept of sharp reasoning to obtain truth. The theory used to reduce metanarrative and elements of deconstruction is the Imre Lakatos research program, in which Islam means conformity or compatibility, harmony and logic. In the core of  Islam, monotheism means Allah  is One. It has “protective shields”which are the Holy Quran, hadith[s], and the theory of causality. The results of the study argue that the construction of divinity in Islam is solid and powerful and leads to a failure of criticism.

AbstractWoman’s language is a representation system reflecting woman’s views of the world. Such language can be found in oral and written texts, e.g.: novel. In the novel, female language containing certain ideology is identifiable through the interpretation of its vocabularies and grammar. Woman’s choice of words represents certain ideology and her views of life. In this writing, such ideology in woman’s vocabularies and grammar in the novel is studied using qualitative approach and content analysis method based on Fairclough’s theory developed by Santoso. Generally, woman’slanguage in the novel shows a modern and brave point of view of an Islamic boarding school woman to face every conflict in her life. The novel taught us that only knowledgeable and strongly virtuous woman that can withstand and defend her rights among the dominant and powerful people around her. It is shown in her use of words and choice of grammar.AbstrakBahasa perempuan adalah suatu sistem representasi yang mencerminkan cara pandang perempuan terhadap dunia, yang dapat muncul dalam teks lisan ataupun tulisan. Dalam teks tulisan, misalnya novel, bahasa perempuan yang mengandung ideologi tertentu dapat diidentifikasi dengan menafsirkan kosakata dan gramatikanya. Pilihan bahasa yang digunakan perempuan melambangkan ideologi tertentu dan cara pandangnya terhadap kehidupan di mana pun ia berada. Dengan menggunakanpendekatan kualitatif dengan metode analisis isi, ideologi yang terkandung dalam bahasa perempuan, khususnya di dalam novel, dikaji berdasarkan kosakata dan gramatika menggunakan teori Fairclough yang dikembangkan oleh Santoso. Secara umum, bahasa yang digunakan perempuan dalam novel Bidadari Bermata Bening menunjukkan cara pandang seorang perempuan lulusan pesantren yang berpikiran modern dan berani menghadapi setiap konflik dalam hidupnya. Novel ini mengajarkan bahwa hanya perempuan yang memiliki pengetahuan dan keyakinan agama yang kuatlah yang dapat mempertahankan dan memperjuangkan hak-haknyadi tengah dominasi dan kekuasaan orang-orang di sekitarnya. Caranya tampak dari penggunaan kosakata dan pemilihan gramatikanya.

Este trabalho é resultado de uma parceria entre a biblioteca e o setor de PD&I da Embrapa Meio Ambiente onde, através da aplicação do método de análise de conteúdo em artigos publicados pela Revista Agriculturas, buscou-se entender qual é o lugar e importância das mulheres, a percepção ou visão dos autores sobre a contribuição das mulheres e as principais atividades que elas desenvolvem. A grande parte dos artigos mostra que as mulheres atuam diretamente em atividades produtivas e em particular em atividades especificas, na unidade de produção e no artesanato, além de outras funções igualmente importantes. Elas têm tido sensibilidade para trabalhar respeitando os princípios da Agroecologia, cujas práticas se expressam nas atividades desenvolvidas na unidade de produção. Nos artigos da Revista Agriculturas, as mulheres desempenham o papel de "guardiãs das sementes”, de sua cultura e muitas vezes estão no centro das decisões sobre o que plantar, como plantar e onde vender a produção. Assim, o trabalho em conjunto com a Biblioteca possibilitou o desenvolvimento desta pesquisa destacando a aplicação do método de análise de conteúdo nos artigos da revista Agriculturas para identificar a relação da mulher e a terra.AbstractThis paper is the result of a partnership between the library and the RD&I sector of Embrapa Meio Ambiente through the content analysis method of articles of the journal Agriculturas. The search comprised to understand the role and importance of women, in the view of authors, and the main activities that they develop. The majority of articles show that women act in the productive unity with specific activities, and also, with handcraft, besides other functions equally noteworthy. They have sensibility to work respecting the agroecology principles where the practices are expressed on the developed activities in the production unity. On the articles of the journal Agriculturas, the women perform the role of “seed custodians”, also, the keeper of local culture and many times they are on the center of the decisions about what to plant, how to plant and where to sell the production. Therefore, working in conjunction with the Library has allowed the development of this research, highlighting the method of content analysis to identify articles about the role of women in the field.

This paper aims to study the cognitive background of light and color in the culture and art of Islamic mysticism and architecture analytically. Islamic mysticism and architecture are two separate disciplines that pursue a common goal in light and color about the creation of the universe and its emergence in different realms. Architecture tries to express the delicate mystical aspects of this matter in the material world. The mysticism supposes the universe or the light of all lights begins from God, and this light, which is an aspect of existence, will be darker passing to the lower worlds. As the world of reason, the first universe, is white, and the world of the body, which is the last known universe, is black. The findings show that light and color are two fundamental elements of creation and existence, which, by mixing in Islamic mysticism and architecture, have found a new identity and have created a vast global vision toward Allah. This essay is based on an interpretive analytical method, based on Clifford Geertz's interpretations theories and functionalism of Branislaw Malinowski, based on a library and documentary methodology and a qualitative content analysis method that transforms from descriptive to interpretive.

Racism is a problem that has existed throughout the world since ancient times. Indonesia also does not escape the issue of racism. From the small issues that we did not realize until the big problems involving many parties. This racism makes the atmosphere uncomfortable and conducive if it has to involve many parties. Therefore, many filmmakers who try to raise the theme of racism become a film. This study's problem is how the movie, especially those related to forms of racism. From the formulation of this problem, this study aims to find out the contents of the film The Help, especially those related to forms of acts of racism. This study uses the content analysis method with the data validity technique is reliability testing. Based on the results of the study, it is known that the film The Help contains many acts of racism. In the scene of discrimination and prejudice dominated by actions taken by white figures to blacks. The response to this attitude of racism gave rise to hatred also fear—the scene dominated by black characters' treatment to white people. The scene of the rules made for black characters also appeared. At the same time, violence and prohibition are dominated by actions to fellow race. The act of racism appears more in the middle part of the film.

In achieving learning objectives, one of very important component is the right textbook. The use of appropriate textbooks greatly affects the success of learning. Therefore, the analysis of a textbook, in this case, a textbook for Arabic learning, is very important to do. The purpose of this study is to describe the selection and gradation of material in the Arabic textbook Al-Arabiyyah baina Yadaik. The type of research used in this study is library research, using the content analysis method. The object of this research is Arabic textbooks that are widely used in the world of education, especially universities, namely: Kitab Al-Arabiyyah baina Yadaik volumes I and II. Based on this this study it can be concluded that the material selection in the Al-Arabiyyah baina Yadaik textbook has fulfilled the principles of material selection: frequency, range, availability, coverage, and learnability. The gradation of material in the textbook Al-Arabiyyah baina Yadaik, generally, has fulfilled the principles of gradation. If viewed in terms of type, the book Al-Arabiyyah baina Yadaik uses a rotating gradation pattern, whereas if it is based on language categories, the textbooks uses a national-functional gradation pattern.

يتناول البحث موضوع الإنسان في القرآن الكريم؛ بُغْية تحسين فهمنا للوحي القرآني وتحيينه، عن طريق دراسة نصوص الوحي فكرياً ومنهجياً. فالدراسة الفكرية تستكشف مضامين القرآن الكريم عن الإنسان، بالاستعانة بتحليل الخطاب، وقراءة آي القرآن الحكيم بتدبُّرٍ مُنتظَم يقوم على التلقّي، والإفادة من شبكة المفاهيم الـمُتعلِّقة بالإنسان التي أنتجتها العلوم الإنسانية المعاصرة، والعلوم الشرعية الإسلامية. أما الدراسة المنهجية المستندة إلى المقارنة وتحليل المضمون، فتفيد في المقارنة بين تحليل النص القرآني في اجتهادات الـمُفكِّرين المسلمين، وتصوُّرات الفكر الفلسفي المعاصر. ويرى الباحث أنَّ تصوُّر الإنسان في القرآن الكريم يُمثِّل مشروعاً بحثياً قابلاً للإثراء والاجتهاد المفتوح على المنظورات المعيارية والواقعية والغيبية المنضبطة بالقراءة القرآنية، للكشف عن طبيعة الإنسان ومهمته ومكانته في الوجود، ويُسهِم في بناء مفهومنا عن إنسان القرآن. This paper deals with the topic of Man in the Holy Quran in order to improve and revive our understanding of the Quranic revelation, in content and methodology. Through the study of the content, using discourse analysis, systematic contemplation and making use of network of concepts in contemporary human sciences and Shariah sciences, we would discover how the Holy Quran presents Man. Through the methodological study by using comparative methods and content analysis, we would compare the analysis of Quranic text as perceived by Muslim scholars, with contemporary philosophical thought. The researcher believes that concept of human in the Holy Quran  is considered a research project capable of enrichment and open to diligent efforts of normative, realistic perspectives guided by the Quranic concept of the human nature, position and mission in the world. This would enhance our understanding of Man and contribute to building our concept of Homo-Quranicus.
