This study investigated the impact of emotional intelligence on work-family role conflict management and reduction in withdrawal intentions among workers in private organizations in Nigeria. The descriptive survey was adopted for the study. A total of 321 respondents were selected using a purposive stratified sampling technique.  Three sets of questionnaires entitled ‘Emotional Intelligence Scale (EIS), Work-Family Role Conflict Management Scale (WFCMS) and Withdrawal Intentions Scales` (WIS) were utilized for data collection. The Pearson Product Moment Correlation and t-test statistics were utilized for data analysis. The findings of this study revealed that emotional intelligence has significant influence on work-family role conflict management. It was also found that a significant relationship does not exist between emotional intelligence and reduction in withdrawal intentions. Moreover, the findings showed that a significant relationship exists between work-family role conflict management and withdrawal intentions.  In order to possibly guarantee effective management of work-family role conflict and foster reduction in withdrawal intentions among the workforce, it is recommended that human resource training programmes that are capable of incorporating some work-oriented psychological issues, such as work-family role conflict management, employee retention strategies and emotional intelligence, should be organized for workers and managers on a continuous basis   in both service and manufacturing organizations.

This study investigated the impact of workers` training programmes on industrial strike reduction among industrial workers in Nigeria. This is for the purpose of ascertaining the relevance of workers` training programmes, as an alternative approach to human capital formation, to industrial strike reduction among industrial workers in Nigeria. A total of 230 respondents were selected for the study using stratified sampling technique to reflect the two strata of public and private organizations. Two sets of questionnaire, with three subscales, titled ‘Workers Training Programmes Scale (WTPS) and Industrial Strike Reduction Scale (CRS) were used for data collection. All the hypothesized research questions were examined using Regression Analysis and t-test statistical methods at 0.05 alpha levels. The finding revealed that workers` training programmes (taken together) had significantly influenced industrial strike reduction among industrial workers. It was also found that only three independent variables (conflict skill, communication skill and interpersonal relations skill training programmes) have significantly influenced industrial strike reduction. However, it was found that management skill and computer skill training programmes were not as significant in influencing industrial strike reduction in selected work organizations. Also, there was no significant difference in the level of female and male workers` participation in workers` training programmes in both public and private organizations selected for the study. Based on the findings of study, it is recommended that workers` training programmes should be given priority by all establishments in order to forestall industrial peace for all levels of workers. Also, training needs of the organization as well as that of workers must be identified before making recommendations for training. This study aims to describe the relationship between emotional intelligence and adaptability in online learning in class VII at SMPN 1 Bogor City. The method used in this research is a quantitative method with a correlation approach. The sample in this study was 25% of the total population of 288 (72 respondents) using simple random sampling technique. This data collection technique uses a questionnaire (questionnaire). Emotional intelligence using a questionnaire with the results of the validity test of 15 statement items, there are 14 statements that are proven valid and the reliability test results of the coefficient of 0.750 are declared reliable. While the ability to adapt in online learning using a questionnaire with the results of a valid test of 15 statements proved valid and a reliability test result of 0.762 was declared reliable. Prerequisite test is done by normality test and linearity test. Data analysis used the analyze correlate-bivariate technique on SPSS 26 with a significance level of 5%. The results showed that there was a positive and significant relationship between emotional intelligence and adaptability in online learning as indicated by the r-count value of 0.623 which means it has a strong correlation. And r-count is greater than r-table (0.623 > 0.232), then Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted. And the two variables also have a significant relationship because the significant value (p-value) is 0.000 <0.05, then Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted. This study investigated the impact of labour turnover on organizational effectiveness in selected industries in Lagos State, Nigeria. This was with the view to determining the appropriate management strategies through which the problem of labour turnover could be reduced to the nearest minimum in work organizations in Nigeria. The survey research method was adopted for the study. A total of 640 respondents were selected for the study using proportionate stratified sampling technique. The major instruments used for the study were questionnaire and interview schedule. The reliability coefficient of 0.84 was obtained for the research instrument. The four hypotheses generated for the study were tested using chi-square and linear regression analysis statistical methods at 0.05 alpha levels. The findings of the study reveals that there was a significant relationship between labour turnover and organizational effectiveness. Also, a significant relationship was found dissatisfaction and labour turnover. There was a main effect of interaction of occupational variables and labour turnover on organizational effectiveness. Finally, a positive significant relationship was found among career mobility, labour turnover and organizational effectiveness. Based on the findings of the study, it is recommended that the working environment of the workers need to be improved upon in order to reduce the alarming rate of labour turnover that impact organizational effectiveness. Also, career development and promotion opportunities have become a rare phenomenon in most of the organisations, individuals who feel their contributions go unrewarded often feel undervalued which can lead to dissatisfaction and virtually an increase of unwarranted turnover. p>

This correlational research aims to determine the relationship between emotional intelligence, independent learning and learning creativity with the mathematics learning outcomes of grade VII students of SMP Negeri 1 Blahbatuh. Data collection was carried out by means of questionnaires and tests. The sample used is a number of 80 people who are determined by the cluter random sampling technique. Hypothesis test used is simple and multiple regression with a significance level of 0.05. The results of this study indicate that there is a significant relationship between emotional intelligence and mathematics learning outcomes, the relative contribution is 46%. There is a significant relationship between independent learning and mathematics learning outcomes, the relative contribution is 39%. There is a significant relationship between creativity and mathematics learning outcomes, the relative contribution is 64%. There is an influence between emotional intelligence, independent learning and learning creativity with mathematics learning outcomes of students with a relative contribution of 62%.

Aim: To examine the impact of emotional intelligence on the effective implementation of a professional practice model in a specialised cancer centre. Methods: The study used a cross-sectional design with 580 frontline nurses at King Hussein Cancer Center, Jordan. The sample was selected using a convenience sampling technique. Data were collected using two self-administered questionnaires to measure emotional intelligence and professional practice. Results: The overall mean value of emotional intelligence was 5.60 out of 6 (SD=0.78), while the overall mean value for the implementation of the professional practice model was 4.76/5 (SD=0.59). The results showed that the overall mean value of emotional intelligence had a significant positive correlation with the effective implementation of the professional practice model (r=0.580, P<0.001), even after adjusting for the participants' demographics (P<0.001). Conclusion: Emotional intelligence can be considered a predictor for the effective implementation of a professional practice model.

To provide insight into women’s approaches to managing the work-family interface, I introduce the concepts of focal and peripheral role senders and illuminate the importance of their interplay in the enactment of women’s domestic roles. At the core of my theoretical model is the process by which focal and peripheral role senders embrace or reject an ideal enactment of domestic roles and the women’s strategies women use to either acquiesce to ideal roles or acquire idiosyncratic roles. This paper examines the husband as the focal role sender, consistent with the literature’s focus and the pervasiveness of husbands in my data, and considers peripheral role senders, such as parents and in-laws, who also influence women’s role enactment, either by amplifying or muting the husband’s preferred role enactment. This research contributes to existing theory by introducing the importance of focal and peripheral role senders, illuminating how these multiple senders and their interaction influence women’s strategies to deal with role conflict, and documenting how women’s strategies subsequently influence their career trajectories.

The article analyzes differences regarding work-family balance, participation in family work, and parental self-efficacy in workers (N=300) in Chile according to their sex and their status as income providers. Three instruments (Survey Work-Home Interaction-Nijmegen, Questionnaire of Participation in Family Work, and the Parental Evaluation Scale) were applied to workers from public and private organizations. Our results show that participation in family work is positively related to work-family balance, while the latter, in turn, is positively associated with parental self-efficacy. Furthermore, sex and being the main income provider in the household shows differential effects in both participation in family work and perception of parental self-efficacy. These results, we conclude, suggest the persistence of some elements of traditional gender patterns. This underlines the need to examine organizational policies from a gender perspective and to analyze the impact of public policy on organizational practices.

The spread of COVID-19 has altered sport in Spain, forcing athletes to train at home. The objectives of the study were: (i) to compare training and recovery conditions before and during the isolation period in handball players according to gender and competitive level, and (ii) to analyse the impact of psychological factors during the isolation period. A total of 187 participants (66 women and 121 men) answered a Google Forms questionnaire about demographics, training, moods, emotional intelligence, and resilience sent using the snowball sampling technique. T-test and analysis of variance (ANOVA) were used to compare sport level and gender differences. Linear regressions were used to analyse the psychological influence on training. Handball players reduced training intensity (in the whole sample; p = 0.44), training volume (especially in professional female handball players; p < 0.001), and sleep quality (especially in professional male handball players; p = 0.21) and increased sleep hours (especially in non-professional female players; p = 0.006) during the isolation period. Furthermore, psychological factors affected all evaluated training and recovery conditions during the quarantine, except for sleep quantity. Mood, emotional intelligence, and resilience have an influence on physical activity levels and recovery conditions. In addition, training components were modified under isolation conditions at p < 0.001. We conclude that the COVID-19 isolation period caused reductions in training volume and intensity and decreased sleep quality. Furthermore, psychological components have a significant impact on training and recovery conditions.
