Geometry teaches us not only about how to give appreciation for something, but also how to find connections that occur between geometry material and other lecture material. In addition, geometry also trains communication through exploration, discussion, conjecture and investigation. The problems that exist in basic geometry skills in a row are problems related to logic skills, drawing skills, visual skills, verbal skills, and applied skills. Based on geometric learning using analytical presentation, the problem of using axiomatic deductive is at the top, then the problem of perception. Misconceptions about visual processes and activities, and finally problems with the use of procedures, concepts, and principles

Sunan Giri was the Islamic priest in Java who had enough enormous influence especially in 15-17 th AD century. The name of “Sunan Giri” is not limited referring to Raden Paku (Sunan Giri I) who started the political entity of Giri Kedhaton, but also refers to almost all of the sunans from Giri who are also descendants of Sunan Giri I. The Babad Tanah Jawi (BTJ) as a historical literature book of the Mataram palace in addition to telling the history of Java from the pre-Demak era to Mataram, on the other hand also mentions a lot about the existence of Sunan Giri. This research seeks to reveal the legitimacy narratives of the Islamic Mataram Kingdom in BTJ involving Sunan Giri as a religious figure who can exert political influence on them. By using a qualitative-descriptive method, the writer analyzes the text data of BTJ's narratives that contain elements of legitimacy involving Sunan Giri. From the philological data, it is then balanced with historical data from several historical works to find out how the socio-political conditions occurred in the 15th-17th century AD, especially in Java. The mention of legitimacy related to Sunan Giri in BTJ occurred in the early of Demak, early of Pajang, early until the mid of Mataram. Those stories are closely related to the existence of Sunan Giri as a priest with enormous influence both in Java and outside Java. Therefore, BTJ, which contains such information, has become one of the media for the legitimacy of power by the kings of Mataram.

Higher mathematics and Probability and statistics are the core course in university,There is a close relation between the two. By comparison and analysis of the scores of the two courses, this paper attempts to show that higher math scores on the impact of Probability and statistics, Higher mathematics X is in linear relationship with Probability and statistics Y,The coefficients for the two is r=0.541. the correlativity between higher mathematics and Probability and statistics has been investigated by regression analysis, the regression equation between the two is obtained, therefore the quantitative analysis can be carried out. Conclusion: There is a good linear correlation between higher mathematics scores and Probability and statistics scores.Description the quality of higher mathematics achievements on the impact of Probability and statistics can not be ignored, for the construction of Higher mathematics courses provide a strong basis.

AbstractBasically, language and culture are interconnected and bound to one another. Language is also able to reflect one’s culture. One example of cultural activities is the procession found in the traditional Batak Toba wedding, namely marhata sinamot (the dowry bargaining). This research on politeness strategies in marhat a sinamot activities was a qualitative descriptive research. The data has been obtained through conversations delivered when the spokesmen discussing or negotiating the amount of the dowry. The research site is in Sidamanik Sub-District. The total number of spokespersons who have participated in this study is 30, and this has been obtained from 5 recordings of the marhata sinamot activities. Almost all of the spokesmen are farmers, some of them are retiredmen and traders. Their ages are between 45-70. The findings show that the politeness strategies used by the speakers in marhata sinamot are positive politeness strategies, which are exaggerating (interest, sympathy, etc with the hearer), seeking for agreement, giving hearer sympathy, using in-group identity markers, and asserting speaker’s knowledge of and concerning for hearer’s wants. Negative politeness strategies are also used, namely: asking for empathy, minimizing the imposition, apologizing, and giving deference. The sociocultural condition of a speaker affects the speech they produce. The cultural principles of the Toba Batak community regarding ‘somba marhula-hula, manat mardongan tubu and elek marboru’ in a principle of daliha na tolu have also influenced the language and politeness strategies used by speakers. These findings can be a logical answer that culture influences language. Keywords: Language, Toba Batak, culture, dalihan na tolu, politeness strategies.

We clarify patient participation by developing a systematic structure of 34=81 models spanned out by three subcategories for each of four categories. Choosing a qualitative descriptive research design, and applying purposive sampling, four doctors, seven nurses, and seven patients were selected to ensure a broad representative sample with experts of varying ages and sexes from medicine and nursing. The preferences of these were mapped onto the theoretical structure. Applying content analysis, meaning units were identified, condensed and coded. The four categories information dissemination, formulation of options, integration of information and control were shown to be exhaustive, and mutually exclusive through time causing a topdown process where one occurs before the other through four stages. The three subcategories specify how patients, healthcare professionals, or both, operate within each category. That is, either patients are active in some sense that is specified, or healthcare professionals are active in some sense, or both are active. Delineating a structure of 34=81 models, based on four categories and three subcategories, gives a richer structure than what has earlier been available. This almost all-embracing structure enables pinpointing the exact nature of any culture involved in care of patients, which illuminates how the culture reflects or can potentially be altered to reflect values of patient care that we respect.

AbstractWe relate students’ math scores in the OECD-PISA test to school characteristics. The average math score for Italian students has been increasing in 2009. The determinants of this growth are analyzed by the Oaxaca–Blinder decomposition, that is particularly useful in comparing groups. The progress in educational attainments shows a different composition between northern and southern schools. In the North-Center regions, improvements are explained by school endowments, while in the South they are also driven by external factors that are not explained by the estimated model and are linked to improvements in students' attitude to education leading to a more favorable disciplinary climate. The regional gap decreases but does not disappear.
