Teachers as professionals are required by several competencies to be mastered, one of which is conducting research. Most of the research results focus on the learning process, such as the use of learning approaches or models. It is exciting to be known by teachers widely to increase pedagogical knowledge. However, research results are used to be promoted, stored in school libraries, or held in a seminar in MGMP activities. So that the results of the research are widespread, the community service team guides to introduce scientific articles for research publications. This guidance aim is given teachers' skills to publicize the results of their research. The teacher who was given guidance was 43 teachers from the MGMP Junior High School of Banjar Regency. The method carried out with lectures and information-discussion after that is done virtually as follow-up guidance. Teacher responses related to devotion activities namely 95% agreed the material provided was adequate, 77% of teachers understood how to make good scientific articles, 77% of teachers understood the importance of conducting scientific publications and 79% of teacher's knowledge/skills were refreshed. Teachers believe they can implement the skills/knowledge gained 70%, teachers who are hesitant to implement 14% and teachers who are not sure they can implement 16%. Teachers' doubts and uncertainties occur because of fears of time wasting due to other administrative tasks. Most participants were interested and excited because the material obtained would be useful in publishing research into scientific articles, which could then be put in journals to support the promotion.

The growing practice of returning individual results to research participants has revealed a variety of interpretations of the multiple and sometimes conflicting duties that researchers may owe to participants. One particularly difficult question is the nature and extent of a researcher’s duty to facilitate a participant’s follow-up clinical care by placing research results in the participant’s medical record. The question is especially difficult in the context of genomic research. Some recent genomic research studies — enrolling patients as participants — boldly address the question with protocols dictating that researchers place research results directly into study participants’ existing medical records, without participant consent. Such privileging of researcher judgment over participant choice may be motivated by a desire to discharge a duty that researchers perceive themselves as owing to participants. However, the underlying ethical, professional, legal, and regulatory duties that would compel or justify this action have not been fully explored.

Abstract Objectives We previously reported that random assignment of scientific articles to a social media exposure intervention did not have an effect on article downloads and citations. In this paper, we investigate whether longer observation time after exposure to a social media intervention has altered the previously reported results. Methods For articles published in the International Journal of Public Health between December 2012 and December 2014, we updated article download and citation data for a minimum of 24-month follow-up. We re-analysed the effect of social media exposure on article downloads and citations. Results There was no difference between intervention and control group in terms of downloads (p = 0.72) and citations (p= 0.30) for all papers and when we stratified by open access status. Conclusions Longer observation time did not increase the relative differences in the numbers of downloads and citations between papers in the social media intervention group and papers in the control group. Traditional impact metrics based on citations, such as impact factor, may not capture the added value of social media for scientific publications.

Bibliometric analysis is the mapping of research research trends by processing metadata from Google Scolar. The aim is to find out research trends in applied mathematics. The research was conducted on April 30, 2021 through searching the Google Scholar database with the keywords applied mathematics with the publication name journal and the maximum number of results is 500 journals as a sample. Metadata retrieval using the Publish or Perish (POP) application version 7.31. The PoP data were then analyzed descriptively based on the publication year, publisher name, researcher productivity, and journal ranking. To get an accurate map of research developments, PoP data is exported to Exel CSV and Result as RIS file formats. The CSV data was created in a pivot table and the RIS data was analyzed using the VOSViewer (VV) application. The results of the research show that the number of publications of research results in the years 2005-2021 has fluctuated and is mostly published in Elsevier. The most prolific foreign researcher in publishing research results is Biher Bist with 14 articles. The VV visualization shows that the map of the development of applied mathematics research is divided into 5 clusters. Cluster 1 consists of 27 topics, cluster 2 consists of 15 topics, cluster 3 consists of 10 topics, cluster 4 consists of 7 topics, and cluster 5 consists of 3 topics with the most research covering mathematics, paper, problem, solution, system, university, department, science.
